Members from idol pop group or singers who are not schooled in acting are actively going into drama serials.
The criticism regarding their unpolished acting are already a thing in the past. So, who among these Korean singers are most suited to be drama stars? One Korean media company did a survey with 25 currently most popular Korean drama directors and below are the findings. Please note that for the sake of fairness, those idol singers who had not acted in any drama for the past 5 years were excluded from the survey.
In 2nd place is Park Yuchun (JYJ) who has starred as lead actor in many TV series was voted by 7 director for this honor. One director commented that oversea export sales doubled for Sungkyunkwan Scandal was due to the fact that Park Yuchun was the lead actor.
