If you find it hard to say goodbye to a Kdrama character, think how hard it must be for the actors who portray them.
To give a great performance in a drama, an actor really has to become the character they play, to almost live inside their skin. The down side of becoming so invested in playing a character is that it can be difficult to let go once the drama is over. Some actors find it takes months to say goodbye.

The more emotional the project, the harder it may be to let go. As Park Yoo Chun was wrapping up his role in “Missing You,” he felt very protective of his character’s world.
“This was a really emotional project and I became very attached to my Han Jung Woo character,” said Park. “I really want to protect the world that Han Jung Woo lives in and I think I’m going to live with the desire to protect the people he wishes to protect until the very end.”

so its not only us who have withdrawals from the characters they portray. it must be really hard to let go sometimes. he did such a wonderful job acting so you know he is really invested into who he portrayed. the subject matter of the story has to affect the actors too when it is sensitive or hard to deal with in reality.
i love him in that sweater! blue is so good on chun~
Aww~
You portrayed Han Jung Woo so brilliantly, Yoochun!!! From a sharp and dedicated detective, to a loving and adorable son, to a faithful and true friend …. the man who did not give up even when there was no evidence of hope …. the man who lived to protect the ones he loved …..we love the Han Jung Woo you created, Yoochun. But most importantly, we love PARK YOOCHUN who made Han Jung Woo!
agree with u, he is brilliant..
Can’t agree more !
I’m sure that Jung Woo will stay in Chunnie’s heart always because it’s an amazing character! I feel it was a milestone in his career because Jung Woo is a complicated character with many layers. You have “crazy rabitt” the ruthless detective, Jung Woo the adorable adoptive son of Eun Soo’s mom and the passionate but innocent lover of Eun Soo. Jung Woo was a character I will never forget because he was too real and lovable, he stole my heart from the beggining of the drama and never let go! Agreed, Chunnie really looks handsome in that picture! That smile always gets me! 😀
It’s so true. Chun’s character in I miss you is complex. It’s differenet from his other drama. I think it’s time for him to go to the big screen. Btw, Chun is soo cute, adorable, young and handsome in this pic, with that hair style, blue sweater and ripped jeans. Sweeet ❤ ❤ ❤
Chunnie come back to the screen, I miss you!
I’ll watch him in anything. ^^
miss him alot!
Han Jung Woo is so real, and I never found such a character in kdrama before.. I love the character, he is so lovable.. Manly but cute, mature but has a childish side..
It’s because of Park Yoochun who could portray the character perfectly, I can’t even imagine another actor played this role.. If it was not Park Yoochun, it must be hard to fall in love with Han Jung Woo..
I’ll watch it all over again because I miss yoochun so bad.
ME TOO
Re-watching “Missing You” is on my to-do-list; I really enjoyed it. And Yoochun did such a great job embodying all the different layers of Han Jung Woo. He just continues to grow and grow as an actor!
I know I understand…it’s really hard to let go that sweet Lee so young either right Jung woo?…….haha….kidding….by the way…you’re doing a good job in that drama…
And this is the reason why I think he shaved his head the moment the drama ended.
Wow imagine holding all that emotion that Han Jung Woo went thru.. This is why his characters touch us so deeply.
nadeul, just like u yoochunnie, Han Jung Woo’s char makes me feels wanna protect him forever..I feel really hurt whenever seeing him crying..but not only HJW, it’s hard for me to say goodbye to Lee Gak as well & always missing Lee Sun Joon’s cold face in SKKS..that’s how brilliant is our Yoochun portrayed all his roles in KD coz we gonna fall in love with all his chars..
agree with @MJ, that’s may the reason he shaved his head coz he wanna let go HJW’s char in his soul..
*waiting another char from u chunnie 😉
