I thought Hyorin is No.1 and Junsu is No. 2? But either way, yay for Junsu!!!
???? I thought he was no.2 in this video?
But of course, he is no.1 with me…king of singers
perhaps Hyorin is the Queen?
I think Junsu ranked 2nd but 2nd isn’t a bad thing congratulations Xia baby
She is pretty good but does her voice have the endurance of Junsu show after show and still sound the same he so rocks….
The scores were very close. Congratulations, Xia Junsu!
Imagine Junsu singing a duet with Hyorin… must be daebak ^^
The thing with hyorin is when i listen to her voice over and over i get bored…it doesnt happen with junsu…he had the voice to pull ppl in…and he also are able to convey the song better than anyone…so for me junsu is no1
I agree with you. I keep listening to his songs and never get bored of his singing voice~~ and also his addictive laugh.
Congrats Junsu, you are the king of singers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Junsu will always be number 1 for me 🙂
Junsa ! Fighting !! You have voice like heaven !!
I wanted to also say I am not really familar with the other singer. I did not watch the video before I made my comment above. After watching the video she does sound nice. But no offense to her fans Junsu should have definitely been number 1. The things they compared. for example just the dancing alone, he topped every thing. I would say this even if I was not his die heart fan. I will say Junsu coming in at number 2 is still awesome, he represents the king and she the queen.
thats bs i have heard hyorin, while she is the best female singer among the current idols she is no where close to junsu and forget junsu i think davichi sing much better and have a wide range of vocals. but then again this is my opinion.
@mejjejyj when you say “forget junsu I think davichi sing much better and have a wide range of vocals” what do you mean? I am not sure who Davichi is. Are you saying this person sings better than Junsu. Which is nothing wrong with you saying that but is that what you are saying?
Davishi ? please, non of them possess a vocal range near Junsu’s vocals, even with this video King Star, if you fairly compare the two vocals Junsu should have ranked at #1 because he has a larger vocal range than Hyorin, lets be fare who’s voice lasts longer and keeps it’s shape fresh enough to sing a complete new verse right after time and again?
Note 14 to 42 in the following video
Junsu is the only one who manages to keeps his voice melody fresh for longer time periods, even in musicals his voice perfectly transforms from low to high notes and vice versa without a repel in the melody of his voice, emk praised this about him how he can easily switch from low and high, especially when low is most difficult to most singers to accomplish, Junsu masters it.
Even music experts in korea chose Junsu for being the best vocalist
based on all evidence, Junsu not only tops Hyorin, but Davichi and you name it, not a single pop singer has the unique vocal accomplishments that Junsu has, as experts agreed, he has higher notes but also masters the lower notes with ease and king star didn’t point the low note mastery as far as I know , and when it comes to range as well , Junsu not only possesses it, but goes beyond it that he can insert verses time and again as you witness in his 14 to 42 part of the first video I posted.
Its really hard to overlook and Forget such points where he has leverage over other pop singers. King star should have ranked him at #1 , its kind of unfair to rank him at #2 when he has more vocal attributes than Hyorin, but congrats to both of them anyway.
Typo, sorry.
14 to 42 part of the first video I posted the Link of.
not Video I posted.
Hyeri from davichi..shes in tears of heaven with junsu…shes a good singer…and i think jooyi from rania is also a good singer
Yes, there are allot of good singers. Including Davichi, But when it comes to vocals being the only thing looked at, they hadn’t had much experience in different genres that allows them to advance over someone who Does have all that. lets say Hyeri was the competition, Heyri is very good, but Sun Ah the musical actress, Tops Hyeri’s vocals. Sun ah is a musical actress, that’s true, but she has a more powerful vocal cord than Heyri, now that’s a voice comparable to Junsu’s vocals. Sunah is Junsu’s match in that. Even her emotional expression is as clear and strong. They aren’t near Sunnah to near Junsu’s vocals.
The competition is about vocals, do Heyri and Hyorin really possess the same deep and powerful vocals as Junsu ? Hyorin is a young voice, not deep enough, and Heyri has limited emotions in her voice, even if she sings in a cheery voice, both Sunnah and Junsu’s cheery voices are richer in reflecting that emotion, So how about the dark emotion that Heyri never experienced to be able to reflect it in her sinning voice ? comparison is way off.
Its not just about a long high note, the low notes matter a great deal, because low notes are most difficult to sing. If a singer’s vocals can master low notes as good as the high ones, (most singer can Only do high notes, because its easier on their vocals ) and see how good they can suddenly change from high to low in ONE breath, doing that puts too much pressure on the vocals, both Sistar and Davichi can’t do it, which is why I said Davich can’t be compared to Junsu’s vocals, and why Junsu’s voice should have ranked #1 There are things, his sinning voice posses that the others don’t yet have, like the switching between High and Low , in one breath.
Junsu’s voice is more than just a high note.
Anyway, like I said, congrats to both, hope its now clear, no offence is intended. Its just when you get down to details you get carried away. Sorry.
@Kalus
I’m not inclined to get too invested in these ersatz “singing competitions” without knowing who’s doing the judging. This looks like it’s way more focused on ratings-getting info-tainment as we say here in the U.S. than an actual informed competition. I’m glad so much screen time was given to Junsu because Junsu is a genuinely gifted singer and a great artist currently being dissed by his country. I didn’t much care for Hyorin’s voice (a bit reedy) when compared to Junsu’s luscious multi-color vocal instrument. I can’t even see how the two compare but maybe I’m biased. 🙂
I can’t see anything bias you said, I agree with what you said Lilibaiyu. It seems as you summed it. So much seems to be neglected in their judging. But still #2 is still a good number, and as you said the screening time is most important.
Since its a male and female, lets just say that the male loses out either ways since it’s ladies first. Tehee. Joking. Both are great singers and Hyorin happens to be one of the female singers I admire. Anyhoo, I’m just glad they mentioned Junsu despite how little affinity JYJ seem to have with the broadcasting stations. ^.^ V
What I love about Junsu singing is that he is very versatile in his singing abilities. He can sing a fast song, mid tempo song, ballads perfectly and probably more. He also can sing in different genres. I love how he conveys the emotion when singing ballads. He always pulls me in deeply to feel the emotion that he is conveying. I feel not all artists can sing different types of songs and in different ways. In my opinion he is in that group of singers that I would title exceptional singers.
Agreed.
2nd. 😀 agreed
It’s nice that Junsu got some decent TV exposure. I guess this “helps” JYJ. Does it actually help JYJ? I can’t tell anymore.
it helps maybe. keep the faith. 🙂
Both have great voice.
But why they compare junsu (male) to Hyorin (female)?
anyway, i think junsu is better live than hyorin.
i watch junsu live while dance and singing he was very stable.
@yuu_xia29 “i watch junsu live while dance and singing he was very stable.”
I have never seen him live but I totally agree with your comment above.
Yup…while singing and dancing requires more stamina…i think junsu tops her in that category…
english sub please….. T.T
junsu,, you always be numb one”’,,,
