I read some of the twits to her and she knows she made a mistake. I feel it was a common mistake she did not mean anything bad. She said her mother is full Chinese and she does not generalize Asian people. I feel that she just made a mistake. Hopefully people want be hard on her, people do make little mistakes.

She could just ask him where he is from instead of giving him an identity from her own thoughts. Just google it. How irresponsible and un-caring of her.
Yes it was a mistake and I hope she learn from it. Always be professional. Do some homework sometimes. Atleast know who you are working with by doing some background work, because I’m almost certain his people did on her.

people are too quick to judge. Being a model in a video doesn’t mean she might be interested in that person’s whole history. Not everybody listens or likes K-pop. Yes, she could have inquired about his nationality before posting on twitter, but please… everyone can make mistakes. and of course not everybody knows who Junsu is. Outside the K-pop fandom most people on this planet wn’t have a clue. Sorry, that’s the truth. Stop a random person on the street and ask 🙂
Except she’s not a “random person”. And she’s. not doing some charity work for some nameless, faceless asian guy. She’s working for pay and has probably come face to face with Junsu during the MV shoot. The sensible thing to do is to know who you work for and who you tweet about. Maybe she thought Junsu is Chinese because of his name “Xia”, which sounds very Chinese. Her error is forgivable but hopefully she’s learned her mistake.

Some people can be so sensitive! Do you know where every person you work with is from? Depending on what you have been expose to, colors your point of view. When I live in Florida people assumed I was Cuban. When I lived in Minnesota or would visit family in Texas, I was Mexican. I live in in the northeast now, and I’m either Puerto Rican or Dominican. I was born In Venezuela…… This is a big country, with many people from all over the world. Its difficult to always label people correctly. She was most likely introduce said her hellos, and went about her job. Not every person is invested in getting to know their co-workers. They are there to collect their paycheck and move on. Which is understandable in that industry. Their co-workers are temporary. It isn’t like most jobs where you have weeks, months, years to develop relationships with each other. She did us a service. Reported on his activities and was positive about it.
this is true..but Im sure you also corrected them when they assumed. Simple and honest mistake and very understandable. Who goes on a job without knowing something about their possible employers. It is a fast pace industry, which mean a little background work would do wonders , especially if they are paying you and you are releasing information about them. The Wiki could have saved her. But I’m not busting her balls.

Exactly. (Thumbs up) For all we know she may have not even met him when she tweeted this, or she could have been misinformed by someone else. I live in Australia, & the amount of people who hear that & reply “Oh you’re from Austria” is funny, albeit a little scary – don’t they learn geography?!! It’s a common mistake & doesn’t necessarily indicate rudeness or racism. & I daresay Junsu is confident enough in himself not to take it personally when someone he doesn’t know & will probably never meet again doesn’t know where he’s from.

I just hope people let this go and not focus too much on this simply mistake that she made. As a HUGE JYJ fan that I understand, and those we can’t look pass that girl mistakes ask yourself when the last time you made a mistake and apologized for it?! She clearly apologized for it. And, explained she didn’t know and yes, she is at fault for assumin’ he was Chinese but Jeez…people, the world WILL NOT to end cuz of her mistake.
