After C-JeS Entertainment revealed that LOEN Entertainment had changed their terms for Junsu’s promotions, LOEN Entertainment revealed their own stance.
LOEN Entertainment said, “Right now, we’re still in the stages of discussing the terms of Junsu’s album promotion contracts. We haven’t signed the contract, and there’s nothing confirmed. Since there’s nothing confirmed, we can’t reveal the details. But one thing that is definite is that the article was released before anything was fully decided.”
They added, “Junsu’s label said that we closed all the events, but they’re still all going on. During the contract signing stages, opinions can go back and forth all the time during the negotiation process. We could have talked this out, and we’re shocked that they said we broke the contract. If it’s like C-JeS said, Junsu’s showcase event page on Melon’s homepage should have been taken down, but it’s still open and functioning normally. We’re also going to reveal the chosen fans to attend the showcase on the 11th, as scheduled”.
However, C-JeS Entertainment responded, “We sent our statement after receiving the sudden news 6 days before the showcase. We also told them that if they did not answer, we’d be spreading this to the media. But we had no answer. LOEN Entertainment says that we were still in the stages of negotiating and that we hadn’t signed the contract, but we started the pre-orders and even started receiving entries for the showcase event. If we didn’t have the contract, shouldn’t none of this happened?”
They added, “Junsu is busy with international CF filming and his Thailand schedule. The reason he planned this showcase is because he wanted to show himself to the public. Since he can’t come out freely on broadcast, we prepared a free showcase to show his stage through Melon TV. Since the label is paying for the showcase, if Melon TV will not air it, there’s no reason to just have this exclusively for Melon customers. We’ve currently asked LOEN Entertainment to answer until the afternoon of the 9th (KST). If this doesn’t get fixed, the label will invite the fans, and the event will be canceled**.”

it was also Cjes fault for not getting a contract with LOEN on paper. They made several errors in the past and only affect our JYJ.
We don’t actually know what the situation was, maybe Loen purposely delayed signing a contract with Cjes because they were planning on pulling the rug from under the boys 6 days before release of the album. I read somewhere (a comment) on one of articles here that Loen signed a contract with SM around the time that they were supposed to sign with Cjes. Cjes is a small and very young company they are learning so the will make mistakes, but they are there for our boys when no one else has the guts to work with JYJ.
I think what Cjes need to do right now is to quickly find a way to promote Junsu’s album instead of going back and forth with that stupid Loen. I really feel bad for Junsu, hope his album sells awesome.

Hmmm… So is Leon going to show this showcase on TV? This is the main issue, isn’t it? C-jes contracted (yet to be signed) with Leon because of the tv promotions they will get for Junsu. However if Leon suddenly decides to stop all tv promotions, then they become entirely useless to C-jes.
I think it might be worth our while to ALL tweet @LOEN_MUSIC today and suggest that they “do the right thing” to further avoid a P.R. nightmare of epic proportions. Let’s let them hear from us!

All fans , korean fans and i-fans, on youtube and twitter, had been on LOEN’s case, the same time C-jes lashed out on LOEN.
All sides were replying in vengence together against the enemy. Not knowing they were doing it as one. But all of us were fighting as one against LOEN .
LOEN is the largest company, but it was cornered that it had to quickly respond to media and confess to different media venues that, it did agree to do promotions with C-jes. Then they try to salvage their reputation by saying they are going to do as planned and did not nullify the contract ect lies to quiet fans and C-jes up.

They say, SM has contract with SK telecom, this around April, this is the time C-jes sat having talks with LOEN.

Where there’s smoke there’s fire, my friend. As we’ve said, this affair had SM’s greasy fingerprints ALL over it. There’s no doubt in my mind SM is trying to wear down the members, wear down the fans, make this shining possibility called JYJ look utterly hopeless. And no one in a position of authority, no one in a position to insist that justice be done will help — this is the shocker for me. It’s as if they are ALL colluding with SM. It reminds me of a film called “Outland” with Sean Connery. It’s the same theme. Everyone picks the side of the strong and corrupt because they’ll probably prevail. But guess what? They don’t. Neither did Goliath. He took a rock to the forehead and went down hard. Let’s pray for a similar miracle for JYJ. 🙂

What I don’t understand is why C-Jes until now has not opened their own TV station. Why depend on others to do your work? With digital TV it is so easy to do that and not too expensive. there are so many private stations, some share air time. Others give a few hours to religious / gospel, Aljazeera/CNN/BBC. With all the promotion JYJ do for various companies, those companies can afford to pay something for advertisement on C-Jes TV station. Here we have one Korean Christian station which sells various items for home delivery. So there are many ways to make it pay for itself and very few staff are needed to run it. So why don’t they???

A music station like MTV ? that has Music performing shows and music related shows ? C-jes is not MTV not Mnet and other Music broadcast shows that track charts and propose awards and promote stars on local and satellite Television.

C-jes is not in charge of the music industry in south Korea. It’s just a small company and works with other artist not just JYJ. It can’t build a station.

No, not like Mnet and no big thing, just a private entertainment TV station to do what you are asking others to do now, i. e. promote their work, advertise their events, do talk shows, keep them visible,even sell their products. Well, they do have to apply for air frequency but with digital TV broadcasts, it is quite easy and normally purely entertainment programs have no problem obtaining a license. Well, I don’t know how the law is in SK, I am writing from East Africa and if here we have over 40 private TV stations I expect that in SK you have even more. You saw the FM radio in Japan where he was being interviewed for his concert, something like that but visual (TV)

no, i understand that we can still use those as evidence. i’m not totally pulling the blame game. but this could have been done better. i guess because everything takes steps in progress, they have to had the verbal way. it’s just that i’m one of the few people who always, always makes sure to have a written contract in whatever agreements, and always read the papers and terms before signing.
i like cjes, and i’m on their side. i’m not blaming them for anything, but still disagree with some decisions. things could be handled in a different way, is all i’m saying.

I hope everything gets fixed. Junsu has a lot on his plate right now and it’s really sad to see evil companies trying to block his promotions. They know xia will succeed and they are trying to give him a hard time. I pray that someday, sooner, jyj gets the equality they deserve. May cjes continue to stand their ground and be more careful when getting into agreements.
So I am thinking of ordering more copies of Junsu’s album from YesAsia. Even though Loen will get a portion of that money it will help Junsu, right?
I’m wondering about this myself. I don’t know what to do. Should I order a physical copy of the album to support Junsu? Should I only order it on I-tunes to boycott Loen? I was gonna do both, get it On i tunes to listen to and preorder it to have and hold in my hands. What would be most supportive of Junsu?

That’s what I usually do too – buy it on iTunes immediately and then just look around for a good place to get the album…

Yes, I do same like you. I always get in iTunes to listen first then look around to get the album fast as I can. Maybe this time I do the way you suggest Cheryl. We have many ways to support Junsu.
Others have commented elsewhere that artists get a much higher percentage on physical album sales. I also think I read Loen will get $ from all online sales including iTunes, but I don’t know this for sure. Can anyone enlighten me?
I’m also confused. It is said that Loen is a large distribution company, almost having the monopoly of mainstream albums distribution on SK, they usually take 70%-80% from the profit. I just can’t imagine how much profit Loen will gain from Junsu’s album sales while they do nothing on promoting him. It’s like a free money, it’s like a robbery. Everybody knows Junsu’s name alone speak enough for promotion and fandom will strongly support him by buying his album. Now it seems that everything depends on Loen’s decision. They should give their best, and the most logic explanation if they’ll going to continue this unfair treatment.
And we, fans, I think, we should have a plan B as to what would be the best things to do to support Junsu, but at the same time not to support Loen? Oh my God, this is frustrating!!!! It seems impossible for CJeS to deal with another distributor in this nick of time, like can we back to A&G Modes?

Wow Loen… I can’t believe they tried to pull this off, wtf. If everything is as C-JeS said, I hope they will sue Loen’s ass off, but from these 2 statements it sounds like they actually haven’t signed an official contract…? Nonetheless, C-JeS should still have a strong case if there were recorded agreements (e.g. emails) showing that Loen had promised certain things and failed to fulfill their obligations.
If Loen is not going to do the promotions, then I see no reason for them to get a cut of Junsu’s profit. I read somewhere that digital music sites like Loen’s Melon get ~80% of the digital sales profits. This is just free money for them if they’re not even going to promote the song.
What I don’t get is why Loen paid for the filming of the special teaser clip. I had considered whether this is a trap, that they lured Junsu and C-JeS into letting them distribute, only so they can cancel all distributions at the last minute with no time to find alternatives. But it seems like such a crazy thing to do. Of course Shitty Music (SM) may have had a hand in this, but it is widely known that SM and Loen are not on good terms. I really want to know what’s going on behind this – maybe at this rate we will find out through court documents.
