[NEWS] 130717 JYJ’s Kim Junsu crowned the ‘King of Performances’, will mobilize 50,000 people in August alone
XIA (Junsu), a member of the popular group JYJ, has been crowned the ‘King of the Performance World.’
On the 16th, JYJ’s agency CJeS Entertainment stated that XIA (Junsu)’s Seoul and Busan concerts for his 2nd solo album have all been sold out.
CJeS Entertainment stated, “After selling out 18,000 seats for his Seoul concerts, 14,000 tickets to Junsu’s Busan concerts were sold in the first round of ticketing.” and “The nine performances of the musical ‘Elizabeth’ which feature Junsu have been sold out, totaling 20,000 seats sold. For August alone, Junsu has set a grand record of mobilizing 50,000 people.”
Additionally, a representative from a ticketing site has revealed, “He has astonishing potential. It is already incredible that even though August is an ‘off-season’ for musicals, he sold out his shows as soon as ticketing began. What’s more amazing is that he sold out his Seoul and Busan concerts in the span of only one week. This shows just how incredible Kim Junsu’s ticket power really is.”

[NEWS] 130716 JYJ′s Kim Junsu Says His Staff was Against the ′Funny Song′
Kim Junsu said everyone was against calling his Funny Song the Funny Song, but he pulled through in the end.
He talked about his album at the press conference held after his showcase for Incredible on July 15.
He said, “After hearing the melody for Funny Song, I tried singing it with many different lyrics. Then, the title Funny Song just popped into my head while I was singing the guide.”
He added, “I kept listening to it, but I couldn′t find anything that fit the song more than the lyrics it has now. So I decided on the title, then wrote the lyrics accordingly.”
“At first my staff were all taken aback at my choice of title,” he said. “Still, I persuaded them, and completed the song.”
Kim Junsu sang his new songs for the first time at the showcase held this day before *12,000 fans. He will soon be launching his Asia tour.
