It seems to me that Jaejoong occasionally likes to portray “the dumb but beautiful” one. I don’t know who could possibly believe that he really is dumb at this late date but he does do a hilariously accurate imitation of “dumb but beautiful.” Really, I love it — I love all of his personas. He is performing them for us, for our enjoyment. 🙂

Am I missing something here? Junsu has his fingers crossed in a few of these pictures also, so why are Jaejoong’s crossed fingers circled?
Because JS is just playing with his fingers before he says anything but he uncrosses them when he starts speaking while JJ crosses his when he says that he and YC want to taste crocodile next time. Crossing your fingers while saying something means you are lying (normally as a joke) and the crossed fingers protect you from divine punishment for your lies.
