Just as he said he was working hard to do this day, Kim Junsu soared high alone, helped on by his sky that was JYJ. The singer started off his second Asia tour for his second studio album in Thailand on July 20.
The Xia 2nd Asia Tour Concert Incredible in Bangkok took place before 3,000 fans.
Kim Junsu said about the country, “Thailand is the most passionate, and shows us (JYJ) an unwavering wave of support. I feel lucky I′ll be starting my Asia tour in this country.”
During the concert itself, he shone with his many charms before his passionate fans, showing that he was indeed happy to be there.
The show started with his first promotional single Tarantallegra, then ran into a performance of No Gain.
Kim Junsu said onstage after these performances, “Finally my second concert in Bangkok will be taking place. I can feel the passion of Thailand. I still have a lot to show you, so please enjoy yourselves.”
He then added, “I′ll burn myself down today,” to applause from his fans.
The singer went on to put on charismatic performances for No Reason, Uncommitted and Turn It Up, while he touched hearts with his mellow voice in such ballads as 11 AM and Love Is Like Snow.
Right after his performance of Fantasy, he said, “I′m happy I′m here to share my first show with you. Again I′ll open up that time we of course can′t miss this year, ′Genie Time.′”
Genie Time is the name for the part of his concert in which he tries to fulfill the wishes of his fans. For this show, he had to do the giyomi and sing Really, the OST of the drama Nice Guy originally by Song Joong Ki.
Of course, the highlight of the show was his performance of his new single Incredible. Fans couldn′t seem to stay in their seats, as they stood up to watch this performance unfold for the first time ever live in Thailand.
With this show, Kim Junsu again cemented his status as a solo singer. He didn′t, however, forget about his group, as he said, “Since the members worked hard in their own areas within the boundaries of JYJ, trying to keep the name afloat, I was able to work hard also with this trust, confidence and courage. I hope we can release albums as JYJ even when we′re 40 years old.”
He left everyone with anticipation on how much more he would be able to grow with his Asia tour to follow.
