[UPDATE NEWS] Jaejoong’s Korean Album Ranks Fourth on Japan Oricon Weekly Chart
Kim Jaejoong’s first solo studio album, “WWW: Who, When, Why,” took number four on the Japanese Oricon Chart.
According to a representative of C-JeS Entertainment on November 6, “Kim Jaejoong is surprising Japanese music officials by holding a rank in the Japan Oricon Weekly Chart with a Korean album.” The rep also stated, “There was no promotion done in Japan. Thus, if we add the number of imported albums sold in record stores in Japan, we can see just how much popularity Kim Jaejoong’s album is receiving in Japan.”
In response to all the attention he is receiving, Kim Jaejoong plans to meet with 60,000 fans in Japan on November 15-16 at the Yokohama Stadium. A representative affiliated to the concert said, “There is only a handful of solo singers in Japan who can fill the Yokohama Stadium. Fans in Japan have great expectations for the show after hearing that Kim Jaejoong’s performance in Seoul was a success.”

Congratulations JJ on a start to what will be a even bigger happening.
How much is he selling there?
Did this bntnews report just based on information given by Cjes ? if so, how typical Cjes acts if it’s about Jaejoong. Since they wrote that this WWW album is a Korean album released in Japan, shouldn’t they mention or put on the headlines too that Kim Jaejoong’s WWW ranks 1st in Oricon Weekly FOREIGN CD / Album Ranking and NOT JUST EMPHASIZE that WWW album ONLY ranks 4th on Japan Oricon charts ? ( also skipped ‘OVERALL ALBUM’ words ) which can give impression that Cjes didn’t know or pretend didn’t know that Jaejoong’s WWW album actually did very well by getting #1 on weekly Foreign CD ranks.
Oh my God, what do you mean? Cjes is ignoring Jaejoong?!
and no, I’m not being sarcastic or demanding here. I’m truly curious. Why did you say that?
It is a known fact that Cjes is little dry comes treating Jaejoong.
LOL, don’t be surprised, the person in-charge to draft the press release doesn’t bother much on details which could at least boast the publicity of it’s artist, considering Jae has no broadcast promotion. I remember news about the mini-album 7 months after the release but Cjes still used the 6 month-old sales figures, they didn’t even bother to browse to know the present sales, why not come to JYJ3, we have updated figures here. And if I remember it right, the Korean fans were ranting about JJ’s concert ticketing info when it was first released because Cjes seemed to just copy and paste JS format, no proof reading (something like that) but then it was corrected immediately because of quick “bitching” of JJ fans. So chill, get used to it, maybe the personnel writing about that is just an apprentice and nobody from the higher rank cares to the detail, as long as it ranks 4th.
Nothing wrong with the article. Whats this obsession with number 1? I personally dont care about ranking, what matters is the number of sales. I hope it beats the numbers of i/y, which currentlly at 31.7k (wiki)
Congrats to JJ.
Ohhhhh I hope it will rise until 1st rank . Fighting oppa!!
The number one slot went to the arashi album which which is no surprise to the japanese music entertaiment . Congrats to jaejoong the first none japanese album in the ranking list, the first three are all japanese. Let’s just wait for more people to hear all the songs the better news is yet to come. Remember this is just the first of the many for the coming years glorious songs for us to hear.
