Do you know Kris, I noticed something very odd about Youtube…. I noticed it especially with JYJ only one song. I noticed that that viewing numbers would increase by an amount, and then deflate. I even took some screen shots and times as proof, and I noticed it happening a decent number of times.
thats the exact thing I was wondering…how come YT counts are so low…foul play?
i used my super sleuth skills and checked out the Google Help page:
“Video views are algorithmically validated to be fair to both content creators and advertisers and maintain a positive user experience. This process assures that the video views are quality views and discards the low quality playbacks.
We want to make sure that all views are validated so during this process the views update less frequently and might occasionally freeze above 300 views to assure quality view count. This is the normal operation in YouTube videos.
YouTube video views are important to all members of the YouTube community – both to uploaders, as well as viewers. Views reflect how many times a video is watched and are an important measure of a video’s overall popularity.
This is why we need to verify video views and it takes a bit of time to do so. You will notice the delay caused by the validation process once the video has at least 300 views. At this point, the viewcount may slow or temporarily freeze until we have time to verify that all further views are legitimate.
During the time in which the viewcount appears frozen, valid views will continue to be counted.”
In China, youtube channel, facebook and twitter is blocked by the government. So we are not able to watch JJ video in YT. But looking at the viewer rate in China YiYueTai, Mine got 35.5 million viewers vs Gangnam Style 82 million.
