The press call for musical ‘December: Unfinished Song’ was held recently at Seoul’s Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and saw the presence of director Jang Jin along with cast members like JYJ’s Kim Junsu, Oh So Yeon, and Kim Ye Won.
A press conference was held after the preview screening where Junsu said, “I was really nervous and wanted to do my best to bring out the emotions of my role in the 80s and 90s. Up till now, I have never been in a humorous style of musical, so it was really interesting to hear laughter from among the audience members during the musical.”
He added, “If you want me to say what’s different now compared to my past musicals, I think it’s the unruffled laughter of uncles in their 40s and 50s. It’s my first time hearing this sort of laughter, and I feel really moved when I see this response. I have always been hearing voices from female audience members, so it is a special feeling for me to hear the voices of male audience members this time.”
‘December’ is a musical that was produced to mark the 50th anniversary of the late Kim Kwang Suk. Park Geun Hyung and Kim Junsu will play the lead role of Ji Wook, while Ji Wook’s first love will be rotated between Oh So Yeon and Kim Ye Won. Wow! I never realized that the December Musical is really about Kim Kwang Suk. Wow no wonder I hear the song, Becoming Dust at the Encore. I would have wanted to watch this musical. Congratulations to the organizers, Kim Junsu and the entire cast. I am from the Philippines. Mabuhay! Anyong!
more audience members, more recogniition and respect from general public other than merely fans. i hope all JYJ members really can gain this accomplishment. popularity is definitely important, but what’s the point of popularity if it doesn’t contain actual value??? God bless and long live JYJ!!!
Popularity comes and goes and Junsu has acknowledged in earlier interviews how fleeting it is. He’s just grateful that he can still perform for those who love his music, and knowing that he is gaining increasing recognition in a field that is highly prejudiced against idols singers makes me such a proud fan.
Yes we are always proud of JUNSU.
The number of ahjussis watching December is quite noticible. 🙂
and family, and couples too.
ohhh!!! were you there?
