Q. Which movie are you prepared for next?
A. I am preparing for the movie called ‘Sea Fog’ from director Boon Joon-ho and based on a play. It happens on a ship and is about the story between Korean-Chinese stowaways aboard who are smuggling across the border and the crew who is bringing them accidentally; it’s labeled ‘Pauper’s Titanic’, nicknamed by its scenes and as a movie portraying the love and tragedy of the poor. I’m not confirming the opening, but it may be in the latter half of 2014.

“Three Days” is jumping the formula for success of Korean dramas.
SBS Wednesday/Thursday drama “Three Days” is opening a new horizon for Korean dramas. Existing Korean dramas have been centered around a scandal such as a secret surrounding birth, family relations, or trying too many things to raise the ratings in a limited span of time and working in too many PPLs for the drama budget. However, “Three Days” doesn’t have this.

Jang Hyun Sung met actor Park Yoochun –who has gained huge popularity in China as a member of idol group JYJ– for the first time through ‘Three Days’. In particular there are even a lot of viewers who like the ‘male-male chemi[stry]’ between the two.
“I think my friend Park Yoochun is really nice. But to be honest I didn’t know. I didn’t know he was that famous…(laugh). So I said ‘How can I hit such a popular friend?’ and was worried. When we were frequently at Miryang filming for ‘Three Days’, we found his fans every time we go. If we travel to Seoul, we find them again in Seoul. I was really surprised.
