[NEWS] 140507 JYJ Kim Junsu, selected as main character for Korean premiere of ‘Dracula’ the musical
Singer and musical actor Kim Junsu will star in ‘Dracula’ the musical.
Kim Junsu’s management agency C-JeS Entertainment said, “He received the proposal for appearing in ‘Dracula’ and decided on the role. We plan on finalizing the details and conditions soon.”
‘Dracula’ the musical will be introduced for the first time in Korea. Created as the musical based on the Gothic novel by Bram Stoker of the same name, ‘Dracula’ the musical premiered at San Diego’s La Jolla Playhouse in 2001, and entered onto Broadway in 2004.
Count Dracula –assumed by Kim Junsu– loves one woman for a millennium over the years, and is portrayed as a character with a wound from unfulfilled love and sadness at the same time. Because of fate he can’t die forever, having to watch the death of his lover and struggling with his desire for blood.
‘Dracula’ will arrive as the Korean adaptation and raises its curtains at Seoul Arts Center’s Opera House in July.

[REVIEW] 140506 What did we watch yesterday? ‘Triangle’, Kim Jaejoong’s keen eyes, ‘All In’ challenge!
Summing up in Five Lines
The gangster in Sabuk, Youngdal (Kim Jaejoong) extorts money here and there to gamble. He doesn’t budge– no matter how much money he loses, nothing can stop him. However, you can feel the depth in his eyes when he looks at Junghee (Baek Jinhee), whom he encounters quite often. On the other hand, detective Dongsoo (Lee Bumsoo) is dying to arrest the villain Go Boktae. His old friend – profiler Shinhye (Oh Yeonsu), who got to know that he has problem in controlling his anger, visits him and tells him that he needs treatment. Once again, Dongsoo exposes unnecessary anger toward Shinhye.
Review
It’s impossible to avoid the comparison between ‘Triangle’ and the previous record-breaking drama of the combo Choi Wankyu-Yoo Cheolyong – ‘All In’, as all the leading actors who have strong presence are placed in a casino background. It’s irrefutably obvious that they paid a lot of attention to the scenes in the casino. As the drama goes on, it seems that the casino will become the main background. Therefore, this drama possibly goes head to head with ‘All In’, the drama that people will naturally think of when talking about Choi Wankyu-Yoo Cheolyong unit.
While the production crew intends to play against ‘All In’, the curtain of ‘Triangle’ has gone up. By destiny, the women started to slowly appear in the rough life of the three brothers. Though that process was painted profoundly, we can’t help point out that the motif is kind of old. Even so, ‘Triangle’ still has its own flavor. The motif is old but there is still room to make it new in the characters.
In the first episode of the drama, Kim Jaejoong, who plays Huh Youngdal, is eye-catching. He puts on the tailor-made suit for this character who has lost direction and lives hopelessly, and added freshness to the drama with his natural acting. I don’t know what shakes his heart but his sharp eyes and the raw madness in it mixed well with Kim Jaejoong’s unique image. Read More →

The mysterious female has now been confirmed to be Ailee, and a representative of the drama introduced the track, “Like the story, the song has caught the viewers’ attention and helped them fall into the mood of the drama.”
With its soft and emotional guitar sound, the song is a perfect fit for the love story of Dong Soo (Lee Bum Soo) and Shin Hye (Oh Yeon Soo).
