[NEWS] 140701 JYJ’s Yoochun attends press conference for “Sea Fog”

JYJ’s Yoochun shared his experience in his acting debut in the big screen at the press conference for the movie “Sea Fog”. He joined the rest of the movie casts at CGV in Apgujeong earlier today.

“I took the role as ‘Dong Shik’, the youngest member of the crew, who falls in love with ‘Hong Mae’ (Han Ae Ri) at the first sight. Even after the teaser was released not too long ago, I still feel very nervous. Movie is definitely different (than dramas),” said Yoochun.

Despite the fact that it was Yoochun’s first role in a movie, he got a lot of praises from his co-stars and director.

“I think the industry has found a good film actor,” said Director Bong Jun Ho.

“He (Yoochun) has a good attitude towards acting and working as a team. He will be able to continue his acting career for a long time,” said Kim Yoon Suk, a Korean veteran actor who took the lead role as captain Cheol Ju.

“Sea Fog” is based on a 2007 stage play “Hae Moo”, which tells a story about a true story of the Korean fishing vessel “Taechangho” incident in 2001 in Yeosu. The 69-ton fishing boat’s crew had to struggle through a tragic accident while transporting illegal immigrants in the midst of sea fog.

The movie is a joint production between director Sim Seong-Bo and Bong Joon-Ho as the producer. It will be released in Korea on August 13.

[NEWS] 140701 CJES, “Kim Junsu musical stage? This is the first time we are hearing of this”

An official announcement has been released about JYJ’s performance at the Incheon Asian Games.

JYJ’s agency, CJES Entertainment, stated on the 1st that “JYJ was appointed as Incheon Asian Games’ honorary ambassador in February, 2013″ and “We signed a written contract with the marketing and promotion department of the IAG, which stated that events related to IAG domestically and internationally must be discussed with JYJ’s side prior to the event and JYJ must have priority consideration for the opening and closing ceremonies as well as any conferences targeted towards foreign media that features a Korean singer.”

According to CJES Entertainment, representatives of the IAG promised that JYJ would be the finale act during the opening and closing ceremonies. JYJ released the official theme song, “ONLY ONE” and filmed CFs as well as holding showcases in Hanoi, Vietnam and Guangzhou, China in October and November of last year.

CJES Entertainment said, “Last month, the IAG organization committed asked if JYJ can attend the press conferences for the opening and closing ceremonies alongside the director of the opening ceremony, and we told them that we will adjust JYJ’s schedule to attend the press conference. However, we did not receive any contact after that regarding the press conference and for some unknown reason, we did not receive the contents of today’s press conference.” They said that as far as they know, JYJ could be performing with PSY.

On July 1^st, the press release for movie <Sea Fog> was held at CGV Apgujeong in Gangnam District, Seoul. The event was held with the participation of Kim Yun-seok, Park Yoochun, Lee Hee-joon, Moon Sung-keun, Kim Sang-ho, Yoo Seung-mok and Han Ye-ri and director Shim Sung-bo. <Sea Fog> is a movie about 6 crewmen who go sailing in the hopes of returning with a full load of fish. They get involved in an uncontrollable event as they take on stowaways.

Yoochun plays ‘Dong-sik’, the youngest crewman on ship. Director Bong Joon-ho, who is the producer of the movie, praised Yoochun, saying “We have a new actor full of potentials in Chungmuro.”

Yoochun said, “I still feel very nervous. I have never felt this before to wait for the release of the movie after filming a movie.”

Yoochun, who has been a great actor in many dramas said, “I had really bad motion sickness. I took pills for nausea even on ground,” explain about the hardship of shooting the movie.

Numerous popular singers will be heading to perform for 2014 Incheon Asian Games.

With 2014 Incheon Asian Games launching on September 19 at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, Psy, JYJ, Big Bang, EXO and more will be performing on stage for the opening ceremony.

As representative singers of Korea, they will be heating up the festive atmosphere by performing their hits songs during the opening and closing ceremony. JYJ will also be singing the main theme song from Incheon Asia Games’ celebratory album.

Spotlights have been gathering on the meeting of JYJ and EXO, as EXO is a group from JYJ’s former agency, SM Entertainment, but each group will be focusing on its own performance.

More details on the opening and closing ceremony of 2014 Incheon Asian Games will be revealed through the press conference taking place on July 1.

Meanwhile, 2014 Incheon Asian Games will launch on September 19 and continue for two weeks until October 4.

The Korean idol groups JYJ and EXO will perform in the opening ceremony of the Incheon Asian Games on Sept. 19, their agencies said. It is the first time that the two groups will share the same stage.

JYJ, which has served as the promotional ambassador for the event since February last year, is to sing “Only One,” the theme song for the Incheon Asian Games, at a pre-opening ceremony.

JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun shared his thoughts on acting in his first film.

Park Yoo Chun attended press conference for film Sea Fog on July 1 in CGV, Apgujeong and said, “I’m still very nervous. I took the role of the youngest member of the ship’s crew ‘Dong Shik’ who falls in love with ‘Hong Mae’ (Han Ae Ri) at the first sight.”

He continued, “The teaser was released recently and I felt so nervous that I realized that movies have this period of waiting until they premiere. They are definitely different (than dramas). It brings back memories when I watch the scenes.”
