so what does it read?
Or is ‘Amat vis et quoc fac” (He loves and does as he will) or ‘Ama vis et quoc fac’ (Love God & do as you will -St. Augustine). I don’t see the ‘t’ for amat, but could be this two phrases. This tattoo is soo ugly, and the font is too exaggerated. I know is HIS body, but is also my opinion and I don’t like anything is this new tattoo.

If we interpret it, may be he means “Love and wish for whatever life serves you” in other words, there is no point complaining about what you do not have, instead be satisfied with and wish for whatever little you may have; do not cry for what you don’t have, be happy for what you have.

I do not think that Jaejoong who is a major in communicatiion and information does not know how to check a simple Latin sententia before he permanently imprints it on his body. In his previous video he did say he wanted more tattoos, and Yuchun as well, but maybe I am the only one but I really like it and the meaning of each tattoos aswell, I dont mind tattoos cos I guess I am in that crowd, they have a special meaning to each of them, I have one and intended to have another one, I believe a tattoo has a special meaning we may engrave our love, thoughts, memories and life in our heart in silence, but what is wrong to express by having a tattoo, of what we and who love, who special to us and the words of meanings of life to the world, I hate when people think is wrong, to have one or it too many its personal choice, we live in 20th century, dont forget tattoos have been around for centuries, its nothing new. As for the placement, its quite sexy in my opinion but its also personal. Its something that only he will see. Fans will only see it if he unbuttons his shirt, so i don’t know why fans are making a fuss out of it.

I’m just being curious here, but is it really painful to get a tattoo in that part of the body?
@starburst It depend were you have it on your body, I have a medium one on my wrist, it felt like a stinging pain and uncomfortable, but they did in 20 min. So my pain threshold was limit and so I did not feel any pain. In reality it was the end result and I left there with a smile 😉
Tattoos are very common features for tribal people all around the world for thousand of years. It’s just after Christianity people started to view tribal people as savages, wild people, ungodly etc. Not until the last few decades we started to appreciate the wisdom of tribal people, the way they look at nature with great respect and love, their courage and their view towards life. Since then, there’s a revival and new respect for tattoos. It’s getting popular especially amongst the “post modern” people.
I guess this won’t be the last tattoo for Jae. Just like the tribal people Jae use tattoos to mark each new, important passages of his life. Jae made “Micky Junsu” tattoo when they started JYJ, he made butterfly tattooo to comemmorate his first full solo album. I think this one is to mark the return of JYJ.
He may have tattoo to mark every milestone of his life but there’s also a possibility that he may delete/erase some of them as time passes by. Just like for example Angelina Jolie tattooed the name of her previous husband but got deleted when it’s already inappropriate. So people will have just to chill and don’t get much affected by Jae’s fondness of tattoo, He may add or delete some, that’s his body. What matters most (at least for me) is the good person and the great artist within, nest to that skin deep, tattoo is just up to the dermis, lol.
I also think anyone who liked the tattoo has to calm down a little bit. I and other people may not like the new tattoo, but I will continue to enjoy his work as before. It’s not because I like his work that I will blindly support everything he does. For example, I hate and always will hate cigarette, I know Jae have tried several times to stop smoking, but could not; I don’t like it, and I have to say, I hate the fact of him smoking, but this will not (and, in fact ,did not happen) prevent or hinder my admiration for everything he does.
In the end, we can agree to disagree, okay? Who liked the tattoo, like; who does not, don’t like it. Period.

I live in Africa for the past two and a half years and have seen plenty of tribal people but am yet to see any tribal people with tattoo or scarification which they used to do in the past. What still remains however is a various number of beads or ear rings in their ear lobes. In very remote areas, occasionally you can see an old man with a polished pebble inserted below his lower lip.
@Rafaela I dont like smoking either and smoking is completely different from a tattoo, but I would never push my moral on that stand on anyone, having a tattoo should not change your perspective of a person, they still the same before they had it, they still the same musical, handsome, stylist and artistic person, it has nothing to with his music or work, so why is everyone fretting, his life, his body and no matter how many time fans tweet him about his moral standard in the community, he will do it regardless, they love their fans effortlessly and give themselves to us 24hr day everyday of their life. let them breathe, let them do what they want to do to make them happy and if tattoo make them happy, it should make all JYJ fans happy.
I guess my comment was too big, but what you said is what I also said. I said I did not like this tattoo and do not like the fact Jaejoong likes smoking, but none of these two things made me change or stop admiring his work as before, after all one thing is his personal life and the other one is the professional life. Because everyone is taking the opinion of ‘dislike the tattoo’ as something offensive, but it is only, and only just, somebody does not like something that other person do. Just this.
@anna-liza p. m. Hi There is a tribe called the Fulani tribe in Africa who still use tattoos, also Maoris, Brazillian, etc They have tribal tattoos has a normal way of living, even some Japanese but the tribal tattoos they do it authentic way and that way, I leave it to them. LOL 😉

i’m not in for debate regarding tattoo. an art form, personal preference, self expression and so on. i am just looking at Jaejoong right now and my eyes tell me he has enough. it’s my choice to look or don’t look anymore. and there’s this question hanging on me and hope in his future interviews i’ll get answer, not from anybody here or there. Angelina Jolie has dozen of tattoos and removed quite a number of them. There is a huge tattoo of an asian tiger on her lower back and huge black cross on her lower belly. The ones she removed especially were the names of her exes or tattoos related to the them, LOL. Modern laser removal prochedure can remove tattoos easily and effectively without any scar. But I don’t think Jaejoong will remove any of his tattoos anytime soon.

It is Dilige, et quod vis fac (Love, and do what you will), i.e. show severity, register protest, or even correct if necessary. (Alternatively, Dilige, et quod vis fac.). The quote is most often misinterpreted and misquoted because of the context of when it was said and the simplicity of the language in which it was written. It is not a call to live free and do whatever but to love others and to react as you will to any situation as long as that reaction is the result of truly loving your neighbor. Simply it means love others and respond to life as you will with love in your heart..
