Movie ‘Sea Fog’ (Director Shim Sung Bo) will pass the 1-million-viewer mark on the 6th day of its release.
According to the Korean Film Council on www.kobis.or.kr, ‘Sea Fog’ mobilized 166,846 people nationwide within one day on August 17, continuing its 1st place in the box office. Its total attendance is 931,683 people.
Released earlier than ‘Sea Fog’, ‘Roaring Currents’ and ‘Pirates’ of the BIG 4 movies this summer ranked 1st and 2nd, respectively, in the box office [overall]. Compared with the two movies, considering that ‘Sea Fog’ is R-rated ‘Teenager restricted’ [T/N: under 18 prohibited] and average about half in the number of screens, it has a positive grade.
Previously ‘Sea Fog’ leaped over ‘No Tears for the Dead”s record (of 121,864 people) that held the best opening score, to bring the record of 173,853 people on opening day for this year.
