Rarely and difficult to be heard on broadcasts, group JYJ’s song emanated during the relay between Chelsea and Swansea City that Ki Sung-yueng participated in.
On September 13, SBS Sports had launched game highlights after relaying the match between Chelsea and Swansea for Round 4 of the 2014-2015 English Premier League, opening at Stamford Bridge [stadium] in London, England; and selected JYJ’s ‘Chajatta’ as the background music.
JYJ’s ‘Chajatta’ is the song that gained huge popularity as the theme [song] of KBS2 drama ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ which aired in 2010. JYJ had been experiencing restrictions at appearing on broadcasts ever since their debut to great popularity, and in broadcasts to introduce their own music.
The match between Chelsea and Swansea City focused on Ki Sung-yueng having played an active, full-time role; and Korean soccer fans’ interests in the match between the teams contending for the lead in the Premier League. The fact that’s emerging and attracting curiosity, is JYJ’s music on a prominent relay broadcast on a weekend night in this way. Furthermore, SBS is also grabbing attention for the fact that they used the song to their competitor KBS’s popular drama OST about Gwageo*.
