[NEWS] 140922 JYJ’s Junsu Is A ‘Musical Actor,’ Not A ‘Celebrity’
Junsu, a member of the idol group JYJ, is a changed man.
The singer attended the press conference before JYJ’s “The Return of the King” concert at Shanghai’s Mercedes Benz Arena where he gave his fans a snippet of his life as an actor, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment.
Junsu has flourished in the musical theater industry, recently being cast as Count Dracula for the musical “Dracula.”
“There’s a different way of singing for musicals, which was difficult to adjust to in the beginning. Because of my background as an idol member, I used to sing like one for the musicals, but I’ve adjusted now,” explained Junsu when asked about the difficulties transitioning from singing to acting.

[NEWS] 140923 All Falling into Autumn in Gangnam…2014 Gangnam Festival to be held
On September 23 Mayor Shin Yeon-hee of Gangnam-gu, Seoul spoke about hosting ‘2014 Gangnam Festival’ on Yeongdongdae-ro boulevard in Samseong-dong with the whole region as the center for 4 days, from October 2nd to 5th.
Held in early October every year, ‘Gangnam Festival’ is Gangnam-gu’s representative festival where one can meeting everyone at ▷ Fashion Festival ▷ International Peace Marathon ▷ K-POP Festival; as one ‘sympathize'[/identifies] with the theme in the sense that will become the festival where this year everyone can have fun, one can enjoy Gangnam’s advanced style and culture under the slogan ‘(Falling into) Fall in Gangnam’.
In addition, adorning the finale of the Gangnam Festival at 7 in the evening on October 5th, the ‘K-POP Festival’ will be held for over 2 hours with JYJ’s solo concert on a stage, orchestrated to lure Hallyu fans –besides domestic fans– and tourists.
Set to block the 7 lanes of Yeongdongdae-ro boulevard in front of Korea Electric Power Corporation(KEPCO); this concert will be sponsored by Hyundai Motors again this year following last year and is adorned in its incomparable scale with the usual street performances.
In particular, there are special zones this year prepared for tourists from abroad; and JYJ is not only participating in the form of volunteering for the arts without an appearance fee for globalization of the Korean Wave, but they are bigger [T/N: popularity-wise] and more significant since they plan on donating proceeds from the sales of souvenirs and other items, to the Gangnam Welfare Foundation.
Welcoming its 4th time with this year, ‘K-POP Festival’ has had the best top Hallyu stars –beginning with Rain’s performance in 2011, and others– perform; and will have the eyes and ears of the world focused on them with Hallyu star JYJ’s free concert.

JYJ showed off their god poses and create a movie-like atmosphere.
In the afternoon of September 23, OBS ‘Unique Entertainment News’ captured JYJ on camera departing through Incheon International Airport and have a schedule in Thailand for their Asia Tour concert.
On this day, Kim Jaejoong had emphasis on his coolness(/stylish quality) with black fashion in sunglasses, while Kim Junsu attracted attention, making his point with horn-rimmed glasses in an all-back hairstyle.
Furthermore, Park Yoochun, despite dressed comfortably, drew others’ admiration, catching sight of him showing off his celebrity pose.
Meanwhile JYJ is underway with their 8-city Asian tour concerts –start with Seoul, Hong Kong, Beijing, Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, etc.– and is slated for their last tour schedule in Thailand on September 25.
