[NEWS] 141003 Park Yoo-chun speaks about his big-screen debut
South Korean singer and actor Park Yoo-chun speaks during an “Open-talk” event of the 19th Busan International Film Festival on Oct. 3, 2014
The popular South Korean singer and actor, Park Yoo-chun, on Friday showed a strong desire for more productivity in his new-found acting career during the international film festival in the South Korean port city of Busan.
Park, a member of the boy band JYJ, debuted on the big screen with his role in the Korean thriller “Haemoo” released in August.
“I found great charm in films through Haemoo (Sea Fog) … I thank the film for letting me know which way to go,” he said during an “Open-talk” event co-hosted by the 19th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and an association of movie reporters in South Korea.
The 28-year old said people’s negative views on idol stars who pursue an acting career at the same time often makes him sad but that would not stop him from finding passion in acting.
“I want to shoot more films and do more TV dramas. I have no reason to reject them if they are good works.”
