All of them are short sighted and wear lenses. May be his eyes got tired because he seems to have very long days. Normally lenses are removed at night to let the eys rest and “breathe” so may be he needed a bit of a break for his eyes. Also, if he goes to more formal occasions he projects the image of “boss” or “academic” when wearing glasses. So, no these are not just glasses with no lenses.
