Shin Se Kyung is being considered for the female lead in Sensory Couple.
Shin Se Kyung′s agency rep told Newsen on February 23, “She received an offer for Sensory Couple and is currently looking into it. It hasn′t been confirmed.”
SBS′ new drama, Sensory Couple will follow after Hyde, Jekyll, Me. The new drama was written by Lee Hee Myung, who also worked on Rooftop Prince and Yawang. The actor most likely to play opposite Shin Se Kyung if she accepts the role is JYJ′s Park Yoo Chun.
Sensory Couple is about an apathetic man, who loses his younger sister through a ′barcode murder case′ three years ago, and a woman who miraculously survived the same event.

I have like a million questions over this issue. Has the title been changed from “Girl Who Can See Smell” as reported earlier to “Sensory Couple” or do they have the same meaning in Korean? I like it better now since the focus is not just on the girl. So this girl can’t act? I’ve never seen her though, but she’s really pretty. Look-wise, I like her better than Suzy, who turned down the role. Is Yuchun taking this project or is he still on the fence? I really need to see him on TV before he goes for the MS.(…sob.. sob)
Noooo. Why??? This might be Yoochun’s last project before military service and i want it to be successful, but casting Shin Se Kyung as the female lead is a big NO. I agree @meme. I’m more concerned wondering if the plot/writing will be as well-handled as they did for Rooftop Prince. I’m not too concerned about the actress. Yoochun-ssi like Jaejoong-ssi have a way of carrying the scenes despite female leads reticence in delivering their lines. I’ve seen kdramas Shin Se Kyung appeared in and was fine with her performances. Actors can only do so much and are sometimes bond by plot/writing/direction of the drama team. Plus, all things considered, let’s hope that the plot/writing is sound from start to finish. That’s what we’ll be left discussing most when the drama draws to a close. And I just want Yoochun-ssi to walk towards military service satisfied with himself.
there’s nothing more annoying than a drama with a good cast and director but going nowhere with the script writing.
A bad actress (or actor) can easily ruin an awesome plot. Very easily. A good plot will read beautifully on paper, but if the actors can’t bring it to live on screen it will just flop and burn horribly.
not that much for me….bridal mask had a pretty bad leading lady but the drama was still great to me …actually … I saw other dramas for the cast and non of them were as good as they were in bridal mask .
Ah but “bridal mask” focuses on the male lead not the female lead. So even though you weren’t impressed by the girl it didn’t turn you off because she didn’t have as big a part to play as the man. In this story, based on the presented plot, the girl is the main focus .
Omg SSK?! A big no. Her last drama is major flop.. She always looks cold even in screen. I has bad feeling when i know yc consider to do this drama. It so fishy they can’t lock any actress & 2nd male lead also don’t give any final word. I don’t have confident with plot, casting. Since this is yc last project i don’t want any flop drama in yc’s resume. Please drama god

Weeel, I haven’t seen her, but if she has been an actress since she was 8 years old, I don’t think she can be that bad, or her acting career would have ended long ago. Secondly I checked her on Wiki and she has a good number of nominations and awards, including best excellence actress award. So why all this negativity? Let Chunnie decide if he wants to act opposite her or not. I’m sure he knows her as an actress better then we do. Let’s hope for a solid script and good direction and leave it to Chunnie to choose. It would have been bad if he had signed up and only afterwards got to know who the leading actress is.

The thing that is very important right now..is the script and storyline good..?the actors can only help uplifting the drama if the scenario is good…if yc choose this..there’s probably a good reason behind it..we know he is soo picky in choosing stuff..i believe the rapport that he build with the director and scriptwriter has some influence..and about the fl..everytime the news came out i cringed..maybe except kim ji won..but it feels like i’m being troll..lol…hope for the best~

LOL “WHAT”? Where is this “sex” idea coming from? The story you’re describing will probably not air on regular Korean TV. Maybe in the cinema and rated “R” but not on the small screens. LOL.
