The drama Triangle had so much potential to be a lot better but thanks to some plot holes it unfortunetly wasn’t. However outside the plot the characters itself in the drama were seriously all amazing!
Character-wise YoungDal was sooooo good. And Jae absolutly owned this role! He breathed life into it better than most seasoned actors could have. It just suited him!
He portrayed the multiple sides of YoungDal so well. First the free-spirited, crazy, gangster side, second the completely innocent and sweetly in love side, third the hurt little boy who grew up without a family, and last the confident bussinesman as the casino ceo.
He was the most complex and interesting person to watch in Triangle and a lot had to do with his good acting.
He managed to shine between so many good actors :))))
I like him better with Baek Jinhee than Go Sunghee.

OMG!!!!! I would love a reunion of all these actors in a new drama just….a better one. It seems the writer had aspirations of creating a story a la SBS’s “Giant” but….well he just quite frankly didn’t have the talent necessary to re-create such a world in modern times. It was shame because I honestly liked the cast.
Byung-ok has been bashed as a villain but he is honestly a wonderful actor who needs the right material to shine. They just dyed his hair like a skunk and asked him to grin a lot…completely misused him. Im Siwan frankly I believe is a more limited actor but he has some charm and women seem to like his “puppy-dog” eyes. He just didn’t convince as a villain. The writer should have made his actor more humane and gray. It would have helped him. Instead they made him a douche bag, then they tried to get us to pity him because his step-father is hot and cold with him and the girl he likes doesn’t like him back boohoohoo…then he becomes this pathetic slobbering mess in denial and then he dies….seriously made no sense. They never used the unfortunate events in his life to get us to identify with him. He just felt like this entitled loser who was an annoying rock in the way of HYD.
Let us not even talk about how they massacred Lee Beom Soo’s character and Jaejoong’s didn’t make much sense either. They littered the show with these neat side characters that just disappeared without a trace. God awful writer. The only character (blandly written and even more blandly acted) that I didn’t like was Shin-Hye. Honestly useless character and I never believed her romance with Dong Soo or that her estranged husband even really gave a damn about her. Woman would just wake up and show up to the set and the writer just sealed her coffin. Just goes to show you that actors need the writers and producers to step up to the plate for a good show. 1 out of 3 isn’t good enough.

Hello Jaejoongie, for sure I’ll be rewatching Triangle from start to finish during your MS . I have watched Pride and Prejudice and Misaeng, they were shown before Spy, and I have already ‘Shine or Go Crazy’ on my list to watch, I like the leads, the lady from Jang Bori and the gentleman from Fated to Love You, I just can’t memorize their names. Thanks Triangle Team for a good drama and the great memories you’ve shared with JJ. I’ll be checking your projects same with the Spy Team ❤
