Makes me sooooo happy whenever they are seen on TV outside their drama’s! Even if it usually is just short interviews and stuff.
Never really understood why they can’t go on variety shows for their drama’s. I understand they can’t go on music shows or promote as singers because of SM.
However when it comes to drama’s they will be promoting their drama’s as actors, not singers. Why can they appear in the drama itself but cannot promote it?
They should be able to at least appear in some variety’s of the same channel.
Like Spy was shown on KBS… imagine Jae going on Happy Together. Or Chunnies drama is gonna be on SBS. Imagine him on Running Man. It would give the ratings a boost.
Whenever their were articles on Spy a lot of the comments by knetz were that they didn’t even know the drama was running and saw it by chance. It simply wasn’t promoted enough… It would be amazing if slowly they could appear more on variety’s even if it is as actors… *sigh*
It’s all wishful thinking off course. Hopefully when they come back from the army things will change a bit.

you’re right! it is so unfortunate that spy wasn’t promoted enough.
i believe it has to do with the usual dirty dealing of sm entertainment. music department, drama department, and variety show department each are different part of the tv station. while sm still struggling to have a piece of share in drama department, luckily they are already a big player in music and variety department. you can see that from their artist which consist of popular mc’s, and popular (cookie cutter-sorry my personal take on them) idols.
i really hoping the same as you, that soon the condition will change for the better, not necessarily after army enlistment.
the only promotion that i watched for spy was when jaejoong accidentally appeared in yoochun interview in KBS for his movie and yoochun mention it.
i hope yoochun wil appear in running man to promote his drama. i’m sure the rating will get high ratings, like when he appeared in Happy Camp.
