I almost thought it was a beard too.. it’s pitch black lol. Doesn’t JJ always rehearse with his mask hanging in that position as in these pics under that sculptured face (-_^) Not sure exactly why, but I guess it could be for disguise, for cold protection, or it could just be one of the lovely little habits of Jae’s
He always wear one if those flu mask when he is having a flu. Maybe he wasn’t feeling well or maybe it goes with the theme he wants
He’s still the same, JJ’s wearing mask is nothing new especially in rehearsals, it’s like his lifestyle already 🙂

I actually think he might have had a problem with his skin… One of the reports from a fellow soldier on this event mentioned how Jae’s voice was crystal clear and he looked healthy but that his skin looked a bit chapped. I think he wore a mask to cover it up from more damage…
Looking closer at the pic it looks like Jae’s cheeks are red. Maybe his gorgeous pale skin was too sensitive to the sun and dried out.. Or it could be an allergic reaction to something… Who knows..

Aww, poor JJ. That’s why he prefers winter to summer. Remember when filming Triangle how there always was an umbrella shielding him from the sun. I noticed that red face. I have seen such red face once too many times in my own mirror and it’s so painful. It really is as if your skin was roasted in the oven. Only a thick layer of cold yoghurt relieves the pain a bit. From that point of view may be he should grow a beard to protect that sensitive skin although I hate to see the beautiful face hidden under a beard. 😢
