The MERS virus has so many people frightened in SK. It worries me too. Stay healthy, Kim family!
10 people dead, 126 infected, over 2,400 schools closed, EXO, BTS and some others cancel their events/performances, big drop in attending public places. However, the Duo, under instructions of SM will hold their concerts, but fans are advised to wear face masks and sterilize their hands.
I am just imagining an audience of 10,000 + and all screaming from behind face masks.
However much I had hoped for JJ to have a break out of the barracks and for some sightings of him, I think they are safer, isolated in their barracks till the infection has been contained.
On the other hand, I am also worried if this may not have some implications on Junsu’s Death Note.
actually I heard from news that a military soldier was infected with mers.
on MERS i read that the outbreak in so. korea is due to a man coming from another country then going to 4 different hospital once he had the disease manifest in s/s. he was already infected and brought it there but it is largely confined to the hospitals he visited and is not yet in the general public or widespread. they i think are taking precautions now to avoid a large break out. it was on twitter somewhere. hopefully it will be contained and not spread any further. JJ is in a good place to not contract it. and i so would love to have some photo too of his gained kilos! (on those shirtless runs!)
@ Moon and @koreamom Yes, you are both right. The person who brought in the infection was 68 yrs old SK businessman who travelled to Bahrain, Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia and got infected there. The reason everybody is annoyed with the government is that the patient visited 4 hospitals before he was diagnosed.
The army man is an airforce member and serves at the USA base, where he is hospitalised and kept in isolation. He got infected at one of these hospitals where he had gone for treatment of his Achilles heel.
All schools at all levels in Gangnam and Geyonggi have been closed for preventive measures. Most concerts have been cancelled or postponed. However, the incubation period is only 14 days, so with these drastic measures to quarantine so many people, soon the 14 days of incubation will be over and the new infections will start decreasing and they will be mostly from secondary infections..

OMG it is that bad I was sad because of the news about cancelling jaejoong’s vocation because of MERS, but now I changed my mind I think it’s better, his health is above everything.
