We have been so happy for the newly revealed couple JYJ’s Junsu and EXID’s Hani, but by the looks of it, not everyone was.
There have been quite the number of hate comments towards the two, and Junsu’s agency is not going to let it pass without consequence.
C-Jes Entertainment told SportsToday on January 9, “After Junsu’s dating reports came out, there have been insults, defamation of character and a spread of false information. We are planning to begin the process of a lawsuit against the malignant online posts around next week.”
Junsu and Hani’s dating report was revealed on January 1 and both agencies immediately confirmed the news.

You really need to get a life if you have nothing else to do but write hate about people you have nothing to do with! Sue them is right XIA GET ‘EM!
While we have been happy for Junsu for having at long last found a deserving girl to love and to love him back, I didn’t know that others have nothing else to do but project their own frustrations thru hate and abuse of two beautiful people. Junsu is so protective of Hani. I feel if it was him alone, he would have not paid much attention and would have let it ride till it dies down but he won’t allow any bad breath to touch his love.
I didn’t know either. I have seen exactly zero negative comments about this. Strange. I think the Korean netizens can be a savage lot at times, they seem to be what all of this gets back to many a time. Also the “Still Butthurt After All These Years” contingent – the SM suck-ups. It makes me tired….
is hating others a profession? this is why this planet never find peace and happiness. One should be happy if people they have interest in are happy too! Our Junsu is already busy with so much good things to do instead of worrying about those hateful people,he’s trying to make everyone’s life more happier,so let him be! it’s good C-JeS taking care of them..
“Is hating others a profession? This is why this planet never find peace and happiness.” Simply put and very profound, Zey. If each person could find only love in their heart for one another….think what it would do. I just question why, what is the purpose of such hateful comments…that person must be very fun unhappy with themselves to say such things about others….and people they don’t really know personally.
As we say in the South……CJeS sue their pants off!!!! This is the only way to get this idiocy to stop. Because I don’t hold out much hope for these folk to find that love in their hearts😥
it sounds like pure selfish jealousy to me. if they love junsu or hani a lot, why cant’ they want their happiness?
must be serious if they’re going to sue ….
why can’t people just leave them alone already.
Hmmm, it’s a pity they cannot be happy without hate, but let’s be real, it was logical that this would happen…
I was actually more wondering how it is possible to go against “freedom of speech”. But then again I don’t know the comments, cz I only saw positive ones and the only “mean” ones were those calling her oppa or hyung, but jokingly from her fans, cz she’s apparently a tomboy…
Korean celebs have a history of being able to sue people for hate speech online so I guess there it’s allowed if it’s malicious, untrue and slanderous to the celeb’s good name.
I should be used to it by now but it still amazes me again and again how different the Eastern and Western fandoms are. I think I like ours better…
This is really some of the things I hate about Korean eentertainment industry. I saw some Knets comments, I think they were Hani/EXID fans and their comments were not very flattering. I really feel bad for her. I think what surprised a ot of people were how accepting Junsu’s fans were and some people were even provoking Junsu fans because the response was positive.
This is sad, but not wholly unexpected. I’m just disappointed because the response has been so positive, so far. I’ve seen the “oppa/hyung” thing even EXID members teased her, but not in a hurtful way. As a Junsu/JYJ fan, I try to keep my comments positive but brief when I go on YT or other SNS sites. As an Ifan, doing that and our continued support is all we can do:It’s up to Cjes legal team to do the rest^^
I’ve worried about this and I’ve seen some nasty comments, mostly about her. I think the meanest comment was about Junsu ahjumma and Hani oppa and went on from there.
Some fans seem very invested in this relationship and think this is a magical forever perfect true love. It’s a lot of pressure to put on them. I wish we could be happy while also being respectful and remembering that sometimes relationships don’t work out. Because that perfect true love stuff scares me. I worry that if they don’t stay together supportive fans will stop being supportive and Hani will get all the hate.
@cheryl I have been trying to hold this to myself because I really wish for all our JYJ guys to find their true love, somebody to love and to love them back and of course everybody’s approach to their relationship is different. However, I cannot help thinking that most relationships between stars end up breaking for various reasons, not the least one being pressure of their work scedules, scale of success of one partner over the other, fans and in JS case MS will be an added pressure because of their separation. Good luck to the both of them and may it last for as long as it takes but if it doesn’t “deferto neminem”.
I can’t help think that too. I’ve seen comments now about her wanting JS’s $, about how she is gay and he is her beard, about how much plastic surgery she had, about how she is a sly fox who was unknown 2 years ago and should be more grateful to fans. There was a whole article in English about her rumored plastic surgery.
It horrifies me. I imagine this sort of pressure and negativity could stress you out and sour your relationship very quickly. Even worse, I think about Tablo and how hurt he was by negative comments. Please don’t let this happen to the young girl.
None of the awful comments are about him btw. Or maybe I’m used to the hate comments he gets and they bounce right off me? But I’m not worried about him. I know we are a loyal fandom.
I think I have to stop looking at news about them for a while. I worry too much a it is.
It’s not surprising actually that there are so many negativity around the net. Junsu and Hani are big in SK. I hope it wont affect their relationship too much. And mostly so that it won’t affect Hani too much. ㅠㅠ
I found several comments that said Junsu does not deserve Hani because he’s not “relevant” anymore but do they really understand the term “relevance” or they’re just being ignorant. While in the other side, Hani also gets the burn too.
Junsu has more “horrifying” experience before so I believe he can easily dismiss this kind of rumor but Hani is, more often looks, very gullible and insecure. I hope Junsu can work this together with her so they can grow together and be happy together. ㅠㅠ
Even though I have not read any negative comments about Junsu and Hani relationship. I am not totally surprised that there has been some. Because this is what usually happens when you have two known Korean celebrities who get into a relationship. I wish people could just mind their own business and stay out of theirs!!!!! Their relationship has nothing to do with those people lives!!!!! Personally I was and is still so, so very happy that Junsu finally decided to date in the public. Because at the end of the day he is just a man who deserves to have and give love just like anyone else. I truly wish them a long loving and happy relationship as long as it last. I say as long as it last because realistically thinking no one knows how long any body relationship will last. I mean regular people relationships sometimes do not last long or forever. I just wish people would leave them along so they can enjoy each other for however long that may be.
I agree, Flower. And let’s face it, it’s likely that this won’t be the last dating relationship Junsu has before marriage. (Who marries the first person they date??) This is merely the first Junsu will admit to. Personally, I think all the guys have been dating secretly for years, but nothing serious so far, or should I say up until now. Let’s give them their space and let them see where it goes.
too bad people have to such hates – but Junsu deserves ALL the happiness in the world – so do ALL the members or any group who WORK THEIR ASSES OFF…to build a future to share with someone – I guess that is what haters lack.!!! and are jealous. Anyway – just be happy that another human on this sad earth has found happiness 🙂 CONGRATS TO OUR SWEET JUNSU – who I believe is just beginning to be at the peak of his career. BUT he still had 2 yrs to do in the Military so hopefully Huni will love him enough to wait for him -0RRRRRRR…heyyyyy maybe they will marry BEFORE he goes in…better keep an ear out for that one 🙂 wouldn’t that be AWESOME for them 🙂

To be fair, it’s not alltogether possible for non-Korean fans to have a well-informed opinion re: legal action.
You need to read Korean and also frequent the numerous Korean message boards & communities that exploded with hate comments
about JS that were untrue, unfair and well-past the boundaries of criticism. These are the comments that are being targeted.
Don’t jump to conclusions about the intention or timing of the lawsuit. The response is proportionate and a long time coming.
+ CJES’ official press release specifically states it is directed to hate comments about JS.
A whole range of personal attacks. I think that’s enough to know for now.
It just happens that the news of his relationship sparked an additional onslaught of online abuse, calling for more timely action.
CJES’s official statement makes it clear that legal action is to protect the name of their artist .
Please don’t be misled by opportunistic and falsely scandalising newspaper titles, mistranslation and gossip mongers.
Just some words of clarification for English-speaking XIA fans out there who might be feeling a little lost and confused.

Freaking ‘Haters’ they forget there is ‘KARM’ so I hope they get their financial assess whooped – that will fix them. Would be GREAT if their names could be exposed as well….I noticed yesterday a ‘hate story’ about Junsu’s WEALTH of all things….talk about sour grapes!!!! I hope he becomes a MULTI BILLIONAIRE. and rubs it in their faces for all they have tried to do not to Junsu but ALSO to JYJ in general. But HEY!!!!!! look at how successful they all are NOW!!!!! Junsu is at the peak of his career – going from great – the Greatest….he is loved by millions AND it NOT INVITIING him to awards shows DOESN’T stop him from WINNING…..hahahahahaha….in your faces you nasty people….you will NEVER stop those who ALWAYS KEEP THE FAITH – AND HOPE TO THE END!!!!!…BRAVO to Junsu and Hani – enjoy your romance and being beside each other for as long as you want!!!!!!
My sentiments exactly, Jo Barr. Junsu doesn’t need any stinkin’ awards show to keep his beautiful face plastered in front of the public on TV all the time like SM does with its mostly forgettable, marginally talented and over-manufactured acts. The frantic pace their singers are forced to lead year in, year out is damning evidence that they know they NEED constant exposure, constant saturation of every market in order to stay popular. 🙂
You go girl, I agree completely! The guys of JYJ are very successful without broadcast TV. What more could they be doing? Be on a musical variety show? What is that? JYJ Hwaiting. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
my bad – it is supposed to be KARMA…hehe
