elephant and sunflowers I love it
This is good news. I notice no comments on the fact that the store has more albums for sale. I guess the nay-sayering *alleged* Jaejoong fans only come out in force when there’s something to criticize and blow out of proportion about C-jeS. They should be showing up here to express happiness and relief that the album has indeed been manufactured in sufficient quantity. But I won’t hold my breath on that.
It is good they restocked, but there was severely limited numbers printed for the first week – even less than his last two albums. In the first week his last two albums both sold over 62k, but because of limited production he only sold 59k for this album in the first week. Most kpop singers including JJ make the bulk of their sales in the first week of sales, so yeah JJ probably lost a lot of sales he could have made and if they were casual fans or random people that were interested he won’t make those sales again.
This is the reality of kpop.
Also, lol it is not excusable at all to have seven other products released in the same month and time frame as an album. Especially, when those other products are ‘limited quantity’ meaning that people will prioritize buying them over the album, and this will further reduce album sales.
The only way J.Y.J. can promote themselves is through highlighting their sales – this is their best promotion strategy. Once their sales also start declining then they become more and more irrelevant to the industry. Their PR team can release 100s of articles about them but honestly only hardcore fans read articles. TV is the best way to promote but they are blocked. They are not willing to invest in or try Youtube. And although they are gaining many drama fans…..drama fans do not translate to music fans.
