As a jaejoong fan I think he is straight considering he had girlfriends before he debuted or joined SM.
I do not really care about his sexuality considering i liked him for his beautiful voice (which is rather underrated considering how good looking he is). If he is straight, gay or bi i wouldnt mind it anyway as long as he keeps releasing good songs (preferably rock and japanese songs).
I do hope that whatever his sexuality is korean media will stay out of it.
Welcome! Sorry Jaejoong has said many times he is not gay but if he gets drunk he gets touchy feely and you might find your neck licked LOL! And you are not the first guy he has seduced HAHAHA! Even after he went in the army so many “straight” guys report how handsome and awesome he is! Jaejoong is basically a really nice person who attracts ALL people!
A lot of his stuff is fanservice. He was raised by many woman and has some definite feminine qualities but at the same time he is manly and loves hanging out with guys! I think JJ is just JJ, sweet, trolling, funny, bold, clumsy, silly, strong, gentle, shy and sexy JJ!

@Devin As for fanservice our Jaejoongie is a notorious flirt when he is on stage! The first vid is Jae flirting with fanboys and the second is him just plain flirting! LOL!
Also, you may run into some negs about Jaes’s sexuality (not that its anybodies business) As you learn his history you will undoubtedly come across the fandom known as Y U N J A E (whisper it like you would name Voldemort, it causes more fans fights then almost anything HAHA)
Basically, when Jae was in his former group TVXQ (You should learn about that whole mess to really get to know him) anyway while in that group there was a idea that Jae and the group leader Jung Yunho were in a romantic relationship. I think it was all fanservice but it was and still is a big fandom in fanfic and with diehard fans who think JYJ will go back to the group someday!( not happening)
It was hurtful when they would go to concerts and shout out about the couple because even if they were not romantic they had been friends and the breakup was ugly! Just giving you a on the situation so when you run across it you know whats going on!

I wonder what’s in Jaejoong that attracted you the most? For me it was his voice, his visual was a bonus, and as I got to know more about him, I love his personality, what they call 4D 🙂 , and I think I hit a jackpot, I found a really COOL person and an extraordinary artist. I think sexual preference is a private matter whether the person is a celebrity or not, let’s just take and enjoy what he’s sharing to his fans, let’s not dissect too much on his private life. How about talking about his music, what’s your most favorite song in NOX and why? 🙂
Oh, actually what attracted me first was his aura. It’s hard to explain, but he gives off a kind of aura that just seems to seduce people in. Afterwards I listened to his music and obviously I consider myself having found a real catch! I don’t know much about his personality yet, how do you suggest I get to know him the best? do I need to watch old shows with him since there seems to be no shows as JYJ?

Oh, yes sexual preference is a private matter, but please be aware that it’s not only a speculated homosexual orientation that is private, a heterosexual one should be private too. As a gay man, I see many people saying these things but they don’t mind talking about the opposite sex the person has been seen with as a possible girlfriend/boyfriend, but once there’s the same sex its suddenly a private matter. It’s sad, but it’s the history of this world who has created this hetero-normative mindset. I do agree that we should just enjoy Jaejoong’s music, I was just curious 🙂
From NOX I like Run Away and All that Glitters! they sound so unique and something you don’t hear in Korean music. How about you?

It doesn’t look as if you visited this site again as I see no rejoinders to the responses you received. But just in case, here is what I can share with you for now.
We are agreed on one thing: Kim Jaejoong is the most beautiful man in the world. I myself call him beautiful (not handsome) because he is beyond handsome. He is like a living piece of art, except that with a beautiful sculpture, you admire only the perfection of form. With Jaejoong, you admire his voice, his hard work and tenacity to succeed despite the many obstacles he has had to surmount. Despite the hard deals life served him, he didn’t become bitter, he is always loving and never speaks ill even against those who have unfairly offended him. Add to this that he composes music for himself and others, writes his own lyrics, does arrangement of the music and stage (in his last album he is the vocal director) he acts in films and dramas and is designer and Arts Director of his own label Moldir. He has a great sense of humour and he can be dorky and clumsy at times which makes him human.
Those who have seen him contend that he is even more magnetic in reality and have dubbed him Visual Shock. More recently his fellow soldiers claimed that they all turn into squids (meaning ugliest possible) next to him and have elevated his handsomeness to nuclear bomb level.
He has no brothers but eight elder sisters who probably thought he was an alive doll and pampered him and dolled him up, and hugged him and carried him around. So JJ is quite physical and does spontaneously touch people. You can check on Youtube some of the sites I am giving you here and decide for yourself how easily he hugs any soldiers around him. This will also show you how readily he shares his songs with them. He doesn’t act the big star but embraces them in his own limelight. He is also constantly in touch with his audience and involves them in the performance

@ Devin Hi, there, I hope you have had the time to check out a few of the sites I gave you and draw your own conclusions. But to come to your questions: “What do you mean by him being unfairly offended?” Oh, boy to answer this question, I need about 20 pages. Basically JYJ and 2 other guys signed contracts with SME company when they were aroud 14-16 yrs old for a period of 15 years. When they reached the peak of their career and were raking in sh**loads of money for the company and were getting zilch in return all 5 decided to ask the company to see and revise their contract. When they were deniied access, JYJ took the company to court. You need to understand that’s a monopoly and the strongest entertainment company in SK so it was a David and Goliath battle.
Although at first all five had stood together, suddenly the other two split and there were a lot of things they said about JYJ, mostly that they were greedy for money, they wanted to leave coz they wanted to start a cosmetic company and all sorts of untruths. This spoiling of their names as being greedy and ungrateful to their “father” was broadcast on all networks 24/7 while JYJ were denied any exposure to tell their own side of the story.
SME wrote memos to all TV companies to blacklist JYJ so since 2010 JYJ have not appeared as singers on any Korean and later Japanese mainstream TV station. So these are some of the obstacles they have had to deal with and survived only because of their talent, hard work and humility which their fans appreciate and gave them full support.

Oh, I’m sorry I could have saved you a lot of work if I had specified that I’m aware of JYJ’s lawsuit and SM’s power etc. Being a K-Pop fan for many a year it’s very hard to miss.
But hang on a minute, this was before Hallyu Wave and K-pop’s breakthrough, right? One thing I know about the music industry, especially the Korean system, is that you cannot forget about debt. If, lets say, SM invested millions of dollars to debut and make DBSK successful, then that means that not only does the groups income pay for managers, choreographers, designers, photographers, advertisements, PR, music videos, producers, composer and yeah you get the point haha, then SM get 95 % from domestic sales and about 40-70 % (don’t know the numbers, it’s different for every company) from international and tours etc, THEN on top of all this the group have to pay back their debt to SM all the time until they have payed the same amount as SM invested in them. Really, to me it makes sense they earned a lot but didn’t get anything, the money would have come after K-pop’s international breakthrough and after the debt was payed off.
Sorry just went inside my own rant, I might be completely wrong but this is the case for most K-pop groups anyway 🙂
Wow, they were going to leave all five? why did it not happen? what proof do we have on that? okay, I’m asking way too many questions.. I will check out on my own the whole thing about the cosmetic company and what the other two said, because to me it clearly can’t be that unfair. I like having all sides to get the whole story, this is only from JYJ’s perspective, so it doesn’t tell me the whole truth.

I have broken my fingers voting non-stop as it was supposed to end on 18thMarch so I doubled my efforts thinking it would end at midnight Korean time but voting continued so I stayed up voting till 2 a m my time which is 8 a m of 19:march Korean time and now I believe even in USa is already 19 March and voting still continues heatedly. @shahera Imagine! Who can confuse Junsu’s voice with Jaejoong’s? They are both so unique, they are unmistakable. But stupid Kville were so unprepared for Jaejoong’s fans onslaught, they even extended the poll by an indefinite number of hours in the hope the other guy would win. No way, Kville and you corrected your other mistake of the photos, why not correct this one of JJ’s voice???? Disgusted voter!
In the video there are a lot of songs that don’t play at the artist’s own part, the ones I noticed were Hoya from Infinite, Casper from Cross Gene, Ren from Nuest. It seems like it wasn’t intentional.
The only Kpop I listen to is JYJ as a group or solos, so I won’t know anything about the others.But I do know how the voting went coz I was there till the end which was extended by 24 hrs when Jaejoong was leading by 20,000 votes and no mention was made that voting has been extended and by how many hours..

But hang on a minute, this was before Hallyu Wave and K-pop’s breakthrough, right? One thing I know about the music industry, especially the Korean system, is that you cannot forget about debt. If, lets say, SM invested millions of dollars to debut and make DBSK successful, then that means that not only does the groups income pay for managers, choreographers, designers, photographers, advertisements, PR, music videos, producers, composer and yeah you get the point haha, then SM get 95 % from domestic sales and about 40-70 % (don’t know the numbers, it’s different for every company) from international and tours etc, THEN on top of all this the group have to pay back their debt to SM all the time until they have payed the same amount as SM invested in them. Really, to me it makes sense they earned a lot but didn’t get anything, the money would have come after K-pop’s international breakthrough and after the debt was payed off.
Sorry just went inside my own rant, I might be completely wrong but this is the case for most K-pop groups anyway 🙂
Wow, they were going to leave all five? why did it not happen? what proof do we have on that? okay, I’m asking way too many questions.. I will check out on my own the whole thing about the cosmetic company and what the other two said, because to me it clearly can’t be that unfair. I like having all sides to get the whole story, this is only from JYJ’s perspective, so it doesn’t tell me the whole truth.
Anyway, I’m so sorry for all questions! and I’m so grateful for your answers and information, you really intrigued me to check out more and get to learn about this group! Having a finances and law degree these kind of lawsuits really spikes my temptation.

Who can tell me when exactly is this poll ending. I have broken my fingers voting non-stop as it was supposed to end on 18thMarch so I doubled my efforts thinking it would end at midnight Korean time but voting continued so I stayed up voting till 2 a m my time which is 8 a m of 19:march Korean time and now I believe even in USa is already 19 March and voting still continues heatedly. Jaejoong still leads but are they waiting for that Leo to catch up with him?

@shahera Imagine! Who can confuse Junsu’s voice with Jaejoong’s? They are both so unique, they are unmistakable. But stupid Kville were so unprepared for Jaejoong’s fans onslaught, they even extended the poll by an indefinite number of hours in the hope the other guy would win. No way, Kville and you corrected your other mistake of the photos, why not correct this one of JJ’s voice???? Disgusted voter!
In the video there are a lot of songs that don’t play at the artist’s own part, the ones I noticed were Hoya from Infinite, Casper from Cross Gene, Ren from Nuest. It seems like it wasn’t intentional.
The only Kpop I listen to is JYJ as a group or solos, so I won’t know anything about the others.But I do know how the voting went coz I was there till the end which was extended by 24 hrs when Jaejoong was leading by 20,000 votes and no mention was made that voting has been extended and by how many hours..
