According to C-JeS Culture on April 4, Kim Junsu and Park Eun-tae were confirmed to appear in the creative musical ‘Dorian Gray’, with its opening ahead in September.
Newly reinterpreted from Oscar Wilde’s full-length novel ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’, the creative musical ‘Dorian Gray’ portrays the story about the young nobleman ‘Dorian’ who happens to receive eternal youth by exchanging his soul with his portrait.
Concentrating a lot of efforts in order to select actors who are most well-suited with the characters, C-JeS Culture had announced an one-cast with Kim Junsu and Park Eun-tae; saying, “We have casted well-realizable actors than anyone else who have fresh charms that the musical ‘Dorian Gray’ has”.
Kim Junsu –who established himself as South Korea’s representative musical actor– was announced for a different acting transformation, in becoming the role of lead character Dorian Gray. In the role of of Henry Wotton who forms the play’s pivot together with Dorian, the best talented musical actor domestically Park Eun-tae was confirmed. Dorian and Henry make up the conflict composition as characters who each symbolizes emotion and reason, and will add to the tension of the work.
Both two actors are slated to show perfect synchronization more than ever, appearing in an one-cast of the performances this time.
Meanwhile ‘Dorian Gray’ is be opening at Seongnam Arts Center’s Opera House the coming September.
