At Seoul Gangnam Police Station at 6:30 PM KST on June 30, singer Park Yuchun –who’s being accused on the suspicions of sexual assault– appeared for questioning in the police investigation. When he appeared, camera flashes everywhere burst out and a cutthroat competition to take pictures of Park Yuchun started.
After this, Park Yuchun imparted: “I am sorry to have caused fans worries. I will cooperate faithfully with the police investigation,” standing in front of a crowd of reporters with a more solemn face than ever, and disappeared inside of the police station.

It is so heartwrenching to see the video clip on KBS World just now.
Yuchunah stay strong! Justice will prevail!
Heart breaking when i saw the video. 💔 stay strong, Yuchun.
Yuchun, you are still loved and supported.
Be strong #StandByYU #BelieveAndSupport6002 ^_^
I couldn’t bring myself to watch it..I’m sure I would cry….stay strong pls be strong…we fans will always stand by you n JYJ forever
Everyone who are people of prayer, we need to join together in prayer for his confidence and courage, and for his attorney’s to quickly end this constant attack on Yuchun. Also, for his enemies to be brought down and face severe punishment. It’s not fair to see a good man brought down by evil people who have no conscience.
Stay strong Chunnie ♥
So many reporters right there. But look…he can answer their question briefly, calmly and clearly now… I think he’s ready to face anything.
Stay strong, Yoochun oppa!
I don’t think he actually answered any questions, did he? The only thing I saw him say was the message to his fans. He just bowed at their questions and continued walking. Unless the clip I saw was shortened. Hmm…could have been. I completely get what you mean though. He looks positively heartbroken, but the fact that he could at least stop to address his fans, shows he is ready to face the police and what may happen. Poor, silly, sweet troll Chunnie. I am truly putting out positive thoughts and energy that this gets resolved quickly and those terrible people are made responsible.
Yes, that’s all he did. But that face … 😦
YuChun, when you walk through a storm, hold your head up high and don’t be afraid of the dark. I will pray for you and stand by you! Take care and be strong!
i pray for you i cheer for you if i could i would comfort you and be there to lean on. this too shall pass and you will get through it chun. you will and we will.
It’s been a while since i saw his face and listen to him speak, but i never knew that the next time i’ll be seeing him speak is like this.It is so heartbreaking seeing the lost soul in him. Yoochun,I know inside you there is a very strong person.Fighting !! we’ll always be here for you!
Goodness; Yoochunnie looks positively heartbroken. I truly hope everything gets resolved quickly, and those girls and the other parties involved face the consequences for their actions. This is just terrible. I feel so awfully helpless for him. I wish I could do what I do with all my friends, and just walk up to him and hug him tight and just let him cry out all his frustration. He’s a beautiful human being who does NOT deserve this.
I just read comments from nitezenbuzz and I cried hard on how they treat him, Making fun on how he look and even wish him to die. Oh my they are so unforgiving. He really needs prayer right now. I included in my prayer that all those cruel words spoken against and unto him will be nullified and rendered powerless ..IN JESUS NAME!!! AMEN!
It’s best to stay out of those places, they’re just poisonous. Full of people of low intelligence who like to show how ugly and mean they can be. We need to start ignoring all the negative and concentrate on the positive. JYJ, were able to change things in entertainment companies with what they went through, and Yuchun may again pave the way for changes in media tabloids and gangster blackmail. I hope at least some good comes out of this Character Assassination of Yuchun, he’s such a sensitive soul.
Thank you again KimberlyJ. I agree with what you say. I have hoped against hope that Yuchun is innocent of having sex with these women (which is his business…even if I don’t approve) and most certainly innocent of the sexual assault charges ( which is everyone’s business). Why else would he subject himself to what is happening now if there was a thread of something provable against him…otherwise pay them off and keep it quiet, be more careful the next time, and go on with your life?
I do want to see Yuchun’s statement before he went into the police station…anyone have a link? I have looked online her in US at 1:00pm EDST. OH, My email just went off maybe JYJ admin have a post of it.
BTW….thanks again to all of you for your faithful Junsu, and Jae Joong post….we love you for your hard work!
What is said above by YC, is all (2 sentences) he said directly to the media at the front doorsteps of the police station.
I will not be sharing the news clips that shows him speaking. There are some things that should not be exploited nor shared just so it spreads more (especially when it shows him in such a vulnerable state).
Thus, to maintain his image I will not be making a post. I hope you understand.
Rilanna, I respect your decision to not show the video. And I admire your resolve. There is prescious little respect for Yuchun these days and it seems you want to offer him some respect here at JYJ3.
I’m sorry I found the video, Rilanna. Tears for him.
Since I know the existence of netizenbuzz, I call it netizenhate because there are many trolls and haters that writing low and dirty comments. I can’t believe those are human. They have no heart feeling… I should not pity those human. They are just keyboard warriors.
sometimes korean netizens comments have more mercy than the international commenters in that site, they labeled Yoochun from the 1st “Title” as a rapist without any proof or even wait for the police investigations results, which can’t be a sane act at all even if he’s found guilty at the end.
I agree that those commenters are ugly, but the funny thing is that they still think they are superior to Korean netizens…
“Before you start to judge me, step into my shoes and walk the life I’m living and if you get as far as I am, just maybe you will see how strong I really am” – Unknown.
Yoochun, stay strong.
Please stay strong
Bighug for him !!!
please, stay strong! justice will prevail!
I’m praying hard for yuchun n his family n his staf n JYJ for them all to be stronger n keep supporting Yuchun since we ifans can’t do that ourselves..so I’m praying to all of them close to yuchun to stay stronger n keep protecting yuchun n junsu n jaejoong now and in future
No substantial evidence have surfaced yet but already the public is ready to crusify him based on hearsay 😦 So all of the alleged victims were sex workers right. I find it to be deeply sketchy that they all have the same story making him out to have some kind of sexual fetish.
Stay strong Yoochun, even if whole world seems to be against you, don’t give up proving your innocence…You said you’re innocent, you said you’re going to prove it through investigations I am waiting for you to do it.
Oh my god, it was so heartbreaking to watch that video. I couldn’t even watch it all the way through without feeling sick to my stomach. The way all those reporters jumped on him and showed no care for the obvious sadness displayed on his face, smh. Stay strong Yoochun-ah, there are a lot of people who are still on your side!
If he’s innocent, he’ll survive this ordeal. On the other hand, if he’s guilty, then he’ll pay the price. As someone who just came to know him a few months ago, I feel strongly that he is innocent because of the love and care he’s shown to his brother, mother and friends from the industry. His fault, being at the wrong place and at the wrong time.
Not happy about these fruitless allegations and soon he will be cleared praying for him and his family also his fans to stay strong in the mist of the storm
It has been some time since I saw the name “Grey Fox” here…has given me an “everything is going to be alright” feeling. Thank you.
How come the media is quick to judge him? Why are most of the people of Korea against him? What happened to all his fans? Dbsk/jyj use to have the biggest fan ever. What happened to them? Why aren’t they doing something to help? Why can’t someone do something about the media? And where are all of yoochuns friends? Why are they quiet?
It may seem quiet to you cause of the language barrier and I’m pretty sure not every thing gets translated. It seems quiet to me too but I’m just now getting wind of this and I’m knocked the fuck down. I have some catching up to do.
JYJ biggest fansite in korea which is DC Gallery has stated that they will only support both jaejoong and yoochun when the 1st or 2nd victim reported
I think Korean fans know what kind of person he is better than international fans do!?
Yeah sure. The Korean “fans” who have no access to any concrete proof ,just like every other person not pertaining to the police task force assigned to this case. Who have only been following the word of the media and have been disregarding all the police’s official statements. Seriously, I don’t know how those who have jumped on the Yoochun hate bandwagon since day one have conveniently forgotten the police statement where they announced Miss A’s gang-related “cousin” refused to go to the police station for questioning. I’m not saying I already regard Yoochun 100% innocent as this is still an ongoing case, but how could these Korean “fans” be so sure of Yoochun’s guilt already when the police has already disclosed a few inconsistencies and suspicious elements surrounding the women and men accusing Yoochun? The phrase “innocent until proven guilty in a court of law” applies to everyone, regardless of gender or status. So I don’t understand how these Korean “fans” can be so knowledgeable on Yoochun just because they have been seeing every negative news story, like newsflash, the media does not always get its information from reliable sources or puts effort into investigating, just look at what happened with PD Notebook and that poor excuse of an apology. So please for your benefit, learn how to do your own research because the media loves obedient sheep, that is how they get their ratings high and their bank accounts to overflow. Its all about views and money, so don’t expect for the media to be educational because the majority of the time, all they want is to stay relevant, which means there is just about nothing they would not do to maintain their audience.
I rarely comment on here anymore but in seeing what’s happening to Yoochun I had to comment. I am baffled at these turn of events. I’m so sorry Yoochun that you have to go through this. JYJ stay having to push back against the forces of evil in Korea. Wowww. I just don’t see Yoochun being like that but there was also a time in my life that I was a fan of infamous Chris Brown and I never thought for him to hit anyone. I knew EVERYTHING about him or so I thought. With his childhood story, I remember him saying he would never be like his Step dad and hit women. But he hit Rihanna. Being a fan of his and having the carpet pulled right under me when it came to his character has taught me something about celebrity. WE DON’T KNOW THESE PEOPLE. So, I’m going to stay neutral as much as possible which is kinda hard to do cause I like Yoochun from what I know of him.
Though I want Yoochunnie to be innocent, the truth is no matter what he say in interviews, how he comes off in variety shows, or reality shows, his music, whatever, at the end of the day we do not know Park Yoochun. Is there any moment we can say we ‘know’ a celebrity? Sometimes there’s character not even family knows. Don’t we all have that or is it just me? There’s stuff my family don’t even know about me so I know everyone has that in them, that deep part that no one knows. Not saying this bathroom rape shit is it but in general we all have layers and sides to us that not everyone knows. Celebrities are human and have that too so I’m keeping that in mind when I think of Yoochun and when I think of anyone in general.
To the ppl who say Yoochun is trash, and the women are truthful and no way could five women lie. I agree that that Yoochun very well could be trash, cause we don’t know all of him, however I disagree with automatically falling to the women’s side. the women can also have the ability to lie out their asses, and be trash too, cause we also don’t know them. It goes both ways and I’m not caping for ppl simply cause they’re women. I’ve witness first hand women lying on men on some CRAZY shit, and I’ve witness in general crazy behavior that some women can do like stealing babies out of wombs. And to tie this to Korea, Sasaeng culture, and underground prostitution culture HELLO? If that shit can exist, don’t use ’cause they’re women and it’s rape how could they lie?’ as an excuse to pick a side when we KNOW how crazy some people can be and this goes for both sides. At least pick a side cause of something that holds merit. At least with Yoochun I can pick his side cause I have some sense of his character though I’m admitting I don’t know all of him and he could very well make secret moves that are left like the celebrity I mentioned above. I feel at ease giving him the benefit of the doubt like I do my family when they’re in some shit. But at least I have some ground to why I side with him. To side with the women, just cause? Your reason, ‘Who lies about rape?’ Yeah guess what people do LIE ABOUT RAPE. That exist just like all the other crazy corruption in human race. If it’s not hard for you to believe Yoochun can rape, why is it hard for you to believe women can lie about rape? It’s the same thing. So we’re both picking sides on assumptions. At least with my assumptions it’s based in fact through what people say about him and what he has shown us so far, keyword, so far.
This some shit right here. Rape? Wow. Not Yoochunnie. REALLY? Really god? You know how we want all the JYJ boys to wed and be happy. I always thought Yoochun would be the first, but it wound up being Junsu on the girlfriend end. I would have NEVER thought for this to happen to him. This is WAY LEFT. This had to fall on Yoochun, on JYJ? When 6002 is my pass code to all my shit including my library card? When he introduced me to the Yoo Ah In, my fave? When his first EP hit the depths of my soul this summer? I played that shit OUT. Damn! So unfortunate!
I don’t know can he come back from this though esp. if it wounds up being true. DAMN man.
/*Hugs*/ I understand your feelings, let’s hope and pray for the best while waiting for police to tell us te truth, this is all what we can do
Wao!such a long comment.so true.this is the first time for me,I still trust him seriously, every new notice about this case is like a big blow to me,i am taking all this situation so personally in a way that i can’t believe it would do…i mean, for an artist who i don’t even know in person?but for me he is more than that,as you said…even your pass code is6002 jajaja, there are so many things he changed on me!everytime i see mickey mouse is equal to see him and the list can go on.
Maybe it could sound ridiculous or obsessive(i am not, trust me)it just happens,so i understand everyone who feels something for him(as i do).
why the hell people criticize us for believe in him like if they would not do the same for someone they love,i mean i wouldn’t inmmediatly put the cross to someone i love and who is being acussed for something like this…is it to hard to understand?
Also i have to accept that everyday is becoming harder.i am like crazy searching everyday an update about this case,is consuming me(obviously i only trust what is written here, thanks for that, because you are not reporting all those crazy and disgusting news about him)that proves sincere love and respect for him.thank
Just to finish,i follow this page more than two years, all about yoochun, also I LOVE JYJ,but micky is my bias.
I am from peru, where are you from rilanna?and also you ”shhh on”(you encourage me to write finally) THANKS!!!
I’ll just tell you that I’m from USA 🙂
thanks for the answer! I was really curious about because i noticed that you translate directly from korean to english right? thanks for that.
i forget to mention sorry if i had any mistake in writiing,I am better at talking than writing.
thanks for the answer! i was so curious because I noticed that you translate from korean to english directly right?do you know korean?and sorry if I had any mistake in my writing,i can read english well but i am not use to write,as I said, i follow your page more than 2 years but silently (does not mean i don´t appreciate what you do here) THANKS,really. have a good day and let´s keep waiting for the truth!
The Mickey Mouse thing, me too! he he he.
Excuse my cursing. When I’m pissed I curse a lot lol.
I feel like this is a family situation too though he doesn’t even know me I feel like I need to support him like a family member.
Cause his music and artistry has touched me. To me music is family. TVXQ songs JYJ songs and their solo stuff keeps me
alive you know? That’s how much I love music. Man. So unfortunate. I just hope he’s innocent and things get back on track.
Wow.
I laughed when I read ¨the mickey mouse thing¨ because my friends always tell me that ¨thanks to me¨ they can not see mickey mouse in the same way xD.
As I mention, I am from Peru (where are you from?) I am a kpop fan since 2009 (not fanatic, but i like it) but in 2012,JYJ came to my country and it was the first time a korean band came,so I decided to support that event even I did not like the band(I never liked DBSK) and I didn’t know they were split,I thought JYJ were a sub band from the smtown( yeah i know, i was so stupid).I went and I FELL IN LOVE THAT NIGHT,Micky was so damn handsome!!,the song¨found you¨ was like heaven to me,I was so impressed that i began to research about them like crazy after that day and a week later rooftop prince began,,,,an it was the beginning of my story with them.
I never had a favorite band like JYJ, their music, their history is admirable, wao i realized how much I love them(specially Micky, then junsu,,,and yeah hero too jaaja) they are more than a playlist in my cellphone.
I told you my story jajaja sorry! and sorry if I had any mistake in my writing!
Have a good day(here almost 2pm) and let´s keep waiting for the truth(so hard to wait, damn)!!!
Oh my goodness, you and Koreamom have seen them perform. I am so very envious of you😀 Tell us about it! Love the song you mentioned. Found You is one of my favorites too. From Sungkyunkwan Scandal.
Hi Georgia peach, where are you from?who is your bias? wao!what can I tell you?as I said I went to see them even when I didn´t like the band at that moment…it was just my destiny as I like to say to my friends. Now I feel so terribly bad because there are so many things I could have done differently!! you have no idea how I regret about that! I was like…ok, I am going to have a good time with my friend in a kpop concert, while their fans were INCREDIBLY excited,It was a big event in my country, because nobody knew about kpop at that moment, they sold out tickets, there was a reportage of them on tv.
That day in the concert, wao!I remember Micky wearing a white pant with his super white skin and black hair, wao,so manly,so handsome.Really I enjoyed that night their songs in english, their solos.but after I heard that song finishing in¨saranghae..saranghae¨(Found You)…so sweet melody. In that moment I said…I think I love them! where have you been all these years?
I CRY everytime I remember march12, 2012.I wish I would have met them before ;( it hurts.
I could go on but you might get bored 😉
watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UX6PMoWcpRM
I was not there but let me tell you that the distance is so short that the girls there must have seen them so closely, i swear!
Bye kisses!
MARCH 11,2012*
@cat4blog….I am from the state of Georgia in the USA. Thank you for the link on YouTube. Looked at several others. And I don’t really have a bias. I have enjoyed all three of JYJ. Maybe you could say my bias is whoever I am talking about at the time. I found JYJ through Jae Joong and the drama Dr. Jin. Totally fascinated by Jae Joong and now am fascinated with all three. I, like all of you, are heart broken over Yuchun. I really pray he is innocent and my heart tells me he is…my head tells me I can’t be sure of that. He is such an accomplished man…I don’t see him fitting the profile of a sexual assault perpetrator. Time will tell us. I so want to trust the police to tell us the truth of it all.
Sorry I didn’t respond quickly. I’m from US. You are so LUCKYYYY to see them. They came to US but foreign artist ALWAYS come to edges of US (NY or LA) not the middle and I’m in middle of US so blah!!!! Your experience is so cool! The closest I’ve gotten to JYJ is seeing a Junsu look a like at my university lol. My story is similar. I wasn’t into Kpop like that at all (still not I just listen to handful of artists) but around 2008 my sis introduced me to a TVXQ song from their T album called No. My sister and I are very melodic we love songs with funky chords and cool melody. After that I was hooked so I was catching up on their music since 2003 to see if they had more songs that sound like No but wasn’t aware that while I was doing that they were spitting (I didn’t know where to look to keep up with them like that and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t much translating going on). When I got wind of it, JYJ just came out with ‘Ayy girl’ and I was like why is it just THREE OF THEM? It made me go back and discover that they split I was like WHAT? I was torn cause my first bias was Yunho but when I watched a live performance of theirs and Junsu’s talent of singing and dancing got me that’s a sign of greatness to have that ability. I have yet to see that degree of talent from a Korean artist so It blew me away so he became my bias. Its one of the reasons why I followed JYJ rather than Homin because of Junsu’s talent at the time. Then when it was just JYJ my biases seemed to balance out I got to know of them as individuals. Junsu is singing and dancing god Jaejoong is also singing and personality god and Yoochun is composer acting god. Let me expand on Jaejoong cause he was my least fave at one point but NOW..he’s like everything. He comes off mysterious when you first get into them but then out of no where he shocks you with his personality. I remember not knowing them well (while in tvxq) and thinking jaejoong was stuck up so I never try to understand him OR why he had so many fans. I just assumed it was cause his looks so I brushed him off as just a face. But one day I was watching JYJ interview and the way he interacted with Yoochun and Junsu it dawned on me that he’s like polar opposite of what I thought and I seriously misjudged him. I started reading interviews from him that would pop up on this site and I agreed with a lot of stuff he would say and watching random videos and it only continued to confirm his unique personality. He’s a paradox, with his looks you assume he’s stuck up but he’s the most humbled selfless person, and he can be funny and 4Dish as they say. I LOVEEEEE ppl like that. Ppl who don’t live off their looks. They actually have substance to back it up.
But anyway I like them for their individual talents and personalities now. I wish them all the best. This year is a mess.
Figthing, Yoochun!
Since I’m relatively new to this (only a few months since I saw 2 of his dramas), I have a question to those who know JYJ fans really well for years – would Yoochun be able to come back if they found him innocent? A few articles I read say he’s done – innocent or not. Is there truth to what they’re saying? If his fans worldwide continue to support him, why would his career be finished? Can someone enlighten me please because I’m not familiar how things work in Korea?
I love Yoochun, and if he survives this ordeal, I will continue to support him.
Not in Korea, the drama producers won’t take him as an actor,
They don’t like anyone who makes scandals even the Korean
fans are the same!
Lol. At the rate Dispatch is trying to implicate all the top stars in scandals, those drama producers will have no one to cast, except SM idols, of course (sarcasm).
Even if he’s found innocent of all charges? I can’t understand that kind of mentality. So, anyone can bring a lawsuit against any celebrity and that alone is enough to finish that celebrity’s career? That is mess up. Can Yoochun still work outside of Korea like China and Japan since he’s very popular and those countries? Is that possible to save his career? I’m trying to stay positive and I hope to see his brilliant work again someday.
Stay strong Kikay. The best thing about faith is that you don’t have to figure anything out – just believe. I’m sure many could not see how JYJ would survive without music shows/promotions yet here we are.
**HUGS**
yaa, totally agree on that! jyj can survive without the need of promotion through going to any variety show or music show, let’s believe n hv faith that yuchun can survive this ordeal ;D
Doris Chen, you just love to hate on Yuchun. Guess what, the producers will take him as an actor(no matter what they say in tabloids), because they want to make money. It’s old school to believe that just because a man is involved in a scandal he won’t work, especially if he’s found innocent. Yuchun is innocent and the fans love him and know it, and the producers who aren’t stupid, know he will attract an audience.
We’ll take him here in America in a hurry. He’s too good to not be active somewhere.
I don’t know. I mean they survived breaking up one of the BIGGEST GROUPS EVER in South Korea so…and there’s still residue from THAT. So to add this on top of that. I don’t think he’ll be back.
Here’s the thing Koreans are human (duh) and human nature tells me that human memory is fickle. Over time most of us get over things ESPECIALLY if the person is innocent and we see it wasn’t their fault. There definitely will be a time he won’t get any work but as time goes on public opinion will relax. The problem is how long it will take.
I will always support the Yoochun I know. The one that loves his brother, mother, and his JYJ members. The Yoochun that always wanted to have a daugther first and wished for a chance to have a sister. Who always spoke so respectfully of his team and co-stars. Who never boasted about his looks or appearance. And who is grateful and loving towards his fans.
love your very positive very affirmative supportive words! that is the yuchun we all love. thank you for expressing it so well!
Stay strong Chunnie! We love you! #6002
What did Yuchun really mean when he said he is bad and scary at night at his fan meetings? Was he really joking or telling the truth about his characteristics? Do you believe that an intoxicated person can be 360 degrees different from a sane person?
I see you’ve posted this comment over and again here despite some readers here answering to your “questions”.
The intention is TOO OBVIOUS.
Just saying.
I find it hard to believe that he raped four women in situations, where in each case, there was a party of people sitting outside, maybe only a few feet away, with none of the people aware that there was some sort of commotion going on, which a rape inevitably causes.
Also, in each case, none of the women told any person in the immediate aftermath that she had been raped – no manager or fellow worker. Four times. It doesn’t sound right.
How did each woman look when she came out of the bathroom? Did she have her hair in a mess, makeup all smudged, clothes torn … was she in a disheveled state? Were there finger marks on her face and neck and other visible areas of her body where he might have held her down? Was she crying and obviously in distress? How many witnesses (Yoochun’s acquaintances and room salon workers) were there each time – including in the entertainment room and outside the hallway? And in the other rooms where she went to after the alleged rape? Were there any cries for help to the people outside who were just some several feet away, within earshot (despite the band music that was allegedly playing)?
Even though there might have been loud music playing in the entertainment room, there are limits to how loud a band can play in a room because there are other guests in the place.
Yoochun’s bodyguards were hired to protect him – any sign of a ruckus and they would have come rushing in.
Is it rape if you say no at first, and then after the man tells you he wants to date you if you give him sex, you acquiesce to it, and thereafter have sex, without fighting and any physical resistance?
Could this be just changing one’s mind after rejecting sex at first?
Many women often act like they don’t want to have sex, especially on the first approach, because they don’t want to be seen as too easy (the “good girl” syndrome). However, after a little persuasion, many of these women may end up consenting to sex.
In dating rituals, it’s the men who are the aggressors and the women the “reluctant” participants. Whole industries such as the romance novel industry have been built on this scenario.
How she feels after consensual sex is really a personal problem; it’s not the public’s concern. Accusing a person of rape after she consents to sex, even after she is initially reluctant to have it, and regrets having the sex, is not appropriate behavior.
Suing someone because they made promises to you to entice you into having sex with them and they did not follow through would only invite ridicule. And it’s hard to prove too. So not many people go down that route. So it’s not unimaginable that some people may accuse someone of rape as a form of revenge.
Prostitution is a degrading job. So it seems hard to understand why the accusers were so offended that Yoochun asked them for sex in the bathroom.
And people have sex in all sorts of places: in every room of a house and even in cars – really anywhere. Is having sex in the bathroom so very shocking?
There is a lot of fake prudishness, hypocrisy, displays of puritanical attitudes towards sexual relations between men and women, and priggishness everywhere in how people are reacting to this case. This kind of behavior prevents honest discussion about the case, and it encourages people to harbor shameful feelings about sex. All of this can make some people more ready to exploit the situation and claim they were victimized, and even blackmail their partner.
So for this reason, in sex-related cases, famous people are very vulnerable to blackmail.
Already a lot has been made of the fact that the alleged sexual events took place in the bathroom. But there has been very little discussion of the actual evidence, if any, that a rape took place.
In many places, including Netizenbuzz, the headlines and editorials do not contain the word “alleged” before the word “victim”. This implies that the accused person is already guilty in the writer’s mind.
With such backwardness and bigotry abounding in the discussion of this incident, I wonder if he can get a fair trial?
Also, I wonder if feminist groups exploit this sort of biased and unethical reporting to sway the public to support their agenda.
I can imagine this sort of atmosphere of wanting to lynch a still untried person can be easily whipped up by some people, using the emotionality of the situation. A mob mentality can pervade.
People speaking on behalf of the accused and who cast skepticism on the testimonies of the accusers can often be accused of lacking sympathy towards others, of being callous and insensitive. In this way, people can shut down debate about the case, using the “you are insensitive” argument. And so often the voices of people who have a different viewpoint to the “mob” can be censored.
When I read the testimonies up until now, I feel that the women could have left the bathroom at really any time. I think they were curious about Yoochun and what he would say to them. I believe they enjoyed the attention this star gave them. They liked being told how attractive they were and how much he desired them. And those are the reasons they stayed in the bathroom. If they had gotten angry and started shouting, I am reasonably sure Yoochun would have shown them the door. As I said, it would have been easy to cause a commotion and escape a bad situation when there were so many people nearby.
Also, after reading her words, I feel Woman B wants to blame Yoochun not just for whatever allegedly happened in the bathroom but for other problems they have in her life. I can’t imagine they are happy people, with minds at peace, working in those sorts of places.
I don’t believe for a second he raped any of those women. If what these women claim is true that they had sex with Yoochun, it was consensual. They all knew he was a famous celebrity who is very rich. When the first accuser’s claim of rape went public, the other women jumped on the bandwagon as a huge opportunity to make money. It’s all about money – no decent woman will choose to work at male entertainment establishments if they can help it. These women are pros and knew how to handle drunk, horny, rich clients well. If anyone believes that these type of women can be easily tricked by Yoochun to go to the bathroom with him to be raped (surrounded by many people only feet away), they’re either stupid or naive.
This type of scheme for quick bucks are not uncommon in Asia. I know I grew up there til my early 20’s. They even use young kids to scam people with all sorts of stuff for money. So, these women are not working alone – they got Yoochun really good.
Thank you, LindaM, for your voice of reason…..soooo verrrrry much agree will all you said. Especially the part about Yuchun’s body guards. That is exactly what they are hired to do. Protect the boss….from others and himself.
@LindaM
Your scenarios are definitely something to consider. You are right in that there is a huge possibility Yoochun may have had sexual contact with these women but like you, I am highly doubtful that it was anything but consensual. The reason being that Yoochun is not a teenage boy who entered the entertainment industry only this year. He knows how quickly the media can make a story out of nothing and for that reason, I find it highly unlikely he would have sacrificed his career just to have sex with four unwilling women. I mean look at what happened with that video where he supposedly hit a “fan”, the media showed the video from an angle where it seemed he hit the “fan” but in reality the reason why he raised his arm was not to hit her but to defend himself from being hit by the “fan” again. So it is really quite easy for the media to convince people into hating or supporting someone through the use of calculated “evidence”, a technique that could be being used in this case as well.
Now disclaimer, what I am about to say has the potential to come off as insensitive but my intention is not to offend/criminalize anyone, I am just trying to play devil’s advocate here. Like the tape taken with a careful angle to paint Yoochun as the offender, the recent publishing of the alleged victims’ detailed abuse accounts could very much be another angle the media and the alleged victims are taking to continue to receive the public’s support and to detract attention from the last couple of police statements working against their favor, particularly the one regarding Miss A’s fleeing cousin. As far as I know, and correct me if I am wrong, the publishing of their stories coincidentally came out around the time the police released that statement, which could mean it is just another tactic to keep the people coming back for more as past articles giving Yoochun the benefit of the doubt have only received hate, which has shown to the media that the majority of those keeping up with this story are only interested in hearing more about how “guilty” Yoochun is.
Once again I don’t mean to come off as insensitive, but there is a chance the detailed accounts of abuse could be completely made up. I haven’t read any of them because I believe these matters, regardless of whether true or not, should be handled by the authorities first before any party reaches out to the media, but it is known that there have been cases in which people have been falsely accused of rape/abuse just because the alleged victim has provided a seemingly convincing story.
Lena Dunham is the poster child for this. She wrote a memoir in which she provided a detailed account of her alleged abuser and sexual abuse story. After being repeatedly questioned by reporters on the matter and stumbling over the “facts”, she finally came clean and admitted to the whole thing being a lie, after months of profiting from the sale of her book. This case has the potential to be similar to Dunham’s case as there is money involved in both cases.
The fact that Miss A and her acquaintances asked for money in exchange for their silence initially already seems fishy to me because I have no idea how money could erase the pain associated with being sexually abused. The red flags only became brighter when Miss A’s cousin was reported to have not responded to any of the police summons , especially considering this news came after C-jes reported they had recorded their meetings with Miss A’s cousin and boyfriend. They could have been ballsy enough to demand money from C-jes/Yoochun and then press charges to the cops after being denied that money because they weren’t counting on C-jes recording the incident, and thus having concrete proof to back up their claims that it is a case of blackmail/extortion. If that is the case, it makes sense why the “cousin” would be fleeing because it is possible they were completely upfront about why they were doing this to Yoochun and what they wanted out of it, possibly revealing that there was no abuse but that they would tell the cops and the media there was to end Yoochun’s career if he didn’t give in to their demands.
Just my two cents regarding what has been released through the police reports thus far, but I in no way have made up my mind on who is truly guilty as this is after all, an ongoing investigation. However, I will remain hopeful and will pray that Yoochun is innocent.
He can have consensual sex with anyone if he is single. One question I want to ask everyone here, do you really think he is not in a relationship at his age now? I don’t wish to complicate matter by bringing his partner in if he has one. However, if we discover later that he has one and cheated on his partner, I don’t think I can forgive him at all. For now, it’s still OK for me if he has consensual sex and if he is single.
@Gil
Contrary to what it may look like in Hollywood celeb world, most people don’t go from one partner to another without a break in between. I’d say it’s fairly obvious the members have had girlfriends in the past & Junsu with Hani right now, but that doesn’t mean Chunnie has a gf right now too.
