Musical ‘Dorian Gray’ (directed by Gina Lee) has revealed its casting. Musical actors Kim Junsu, Park Eun-tae, Choi Jae-woong, and Hong Seo-young were chosen in the one-cast.
According to production company C-JeS Culture on July 5th, Kim Junsu has been casted in the role of the beautiful young nobleman ‘Dorian [Gray]’ who falls to the pleasure and desire to obtain immortal beauty, and Park Eun-tae in the role of ‘Henry Wotton’ who studies the ambiguity of beauty.
In addition, Choi Jae-woong was casted in the role of ‘Basil Hallward’ as London’s promising painter and who painted the immortal portrait. In the role of female lead ‘Sibyl Vane’, rookie Hong Seo-young, who was chosen through an audition of 400:1, will be joining them.
‘Dorian Gray’, as a creative musical newly-adapted from Oscar Wilde’s novel, depicts the story that takes place when young British nobleman Dorian Gray exchanges his soul with the portrait of him, in his avarice to look for eternal beauty.
It will be opening at Seongnam Arts Center’s Opera House in Yatap-dong, Seongnam City on September 3rd.
