JYJ3 Note: This is in response to the latest news about Uhm Tae-woong; following the slew of other sexual violence cases in South Korea, in 2016 alone –involving Yoo Sang-moo, Park Yuchun, Lee Min-ki, Lee Jin-wook, & Lee Juno–.

Can SK please just elect this man President? I’m pretty sure he would fix a lot of their problems! 🙂
great idea! get someone in there that sees things as they are and has the guts to fix them
Also, this is the official announcement for a project that some of us here are working on to help support Yuchun’s career…
Please feel free to share it on FB and any other social media sites that you feel are appropriate. Thanks!
Hello,
On behalf of a group of Park Yoochun’s U.S. fans, I would like to invite all of his international fans to join us in an effort to support and encourage his work as a very gifted actor by participating in what we are calling “Watch for Yoochun” week, beginning Saturday, October 1st. By joining together for a marathon, we hope to significantly raise the view-count and ratings of his dramas and bring awareness to the fact that he still has a large following of loyal supporters. We feel that given the recent events in his life, this would be a meaningful gesture to show our strong faith in him as a person and our sincere wish that he will continue to be able to pursue his love of acting in the future. I’m sure that many of you have already been doing this on your own, but if we unite in an organized manner, the positive impact will hopefully be much greater. We will be watching on DramaFever.com because we feel it is the easiest way to allow everyone to watch simultaneously, and also because it is essential that we use one site, if possible, in order to accomplish our goal. We would like to clearly state that we are not affiliated with DramaFever in any way and we are not receiving any promotional compensation from them. If you are not able to use DramaFever, Viki.com also has all of his dramas; although some of them may not be available in every region. Many of us will be starting with “I Miss You” because of it’s message, but please feel free to watch whichever ones match your interests. Also, if you would like to promote the event on social media, please use the hashtags #watchforyoochun or #watchforyuchun. Thank you in advance for your help in allowing us to demonstrate our respect for him and his immense talent! Blessings to you all! Always keep the faith!
Here is a complete list of his dramas…
Sungkyunkwan Scandal
Miss Ripley
Rooftop Prince
I Miss You (a.k.a. Missing You)
Three Days
The Girl Who Sees Smells (a.k.a. Sensory Couple)
Yay! Sharing on Facebook!
Sharing it on twitter! =)
@Seryn my earlier post hasn’t shown up yet, so here, I’ll just say that the response on Twitter has been very encouraging.
@Lilibaiyu @Mari @Mazelight3
Thank you all so much!!! Truly! I couldn’t do this without all the help you’ve been willing to give. 🙂
@lilibaiyu @Mazelight3 I shared this version of the announcement on Pinterest. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/25/ae/48/25ae48b1491dcfc03e484454749ea7ab.jpg
I have an account there so I thought it might help a tiny bit. 🙂
Oops.. @Mari, I didn’t mean to leave you out of that last comment! 😳🙂
XD It’s okay.
Good one! I love the photo you used too. I used a great photo also for the StandUp4JYJ Facebook page. 🙂
Yes you did! I loved it! 🙂
Oh… One more thing and then I’m done. I felt I should explain that the inclusion of my username was something that I accidently overlooked when I was putting this together. I had edited it out in the versions I posted here, but used the wrong one when I was making this one for Pinterest. I didn’t get much sleep last night, so I apologize! I sincerely want everyone to share equal credit for this. That’s why it wasn’t included in the copy I posted for you to share.
Alright… That’s it! I hope you’re all having a lovely day! 🙂
Yes it should. Totally agreed!
Reblogged this on annayooch's Blog.
There should more Kim Young-sam in the world! BRAVO!
100% agree! Also, it warms my heart to see you back here 💜😉
Believing you’re my Fan-Family member from NY, if not, please disregard.
I am from NYC. I’m impressed that you remember me from previous posts. Cheers!
@Sisco you made the article that @Seryn brought to our attention below
When will the police realize these accused men are victims of organized crime and shut down the gangs getting away with extortion? Give it another year and every celebrity in Korea will have been accused of a crime at some point (except SM K-pop idols of course). After so many years of these so-called sexual assault attacks the police, prosecutors, and the public should be skeptical every time they see this in the news. And I agree with Kim Young-sam that the media should have a suspension of their license for exploiting the opportunity to ruin a celebrities name.
There’s a simple reason why it’s never an SM idol, it seems to me: they are held in virtual captivity by their managers, herded around and WATCHED, 24-7. They are not regular performing artists, they are cash cows, there only to make the company money. If you had a prize winning heifer or a million dollar race horse would you let it run around free?
That’s right lilibaiyu, I forgot they are really just puppets to SM and never let out of the house. I was being snarky when I said SM idols wouldn’t be caught in this kind of scandal, because of the media favoritism to SM, and their willingness to destroy everyone else.
This is the .most concrete thing ,..so true what Kim Young-Sam say..they should make punishment like this
Well, I have said it before…I’ll say it again! Every male celebrity in South Korea should keep a lawyer on retainer and/or not go out in public without his Mother! The only good thing that could possibly come from all these celebrities being accused of assault is….it will go to prove that it is all blackmail related! There can’t be that many celebrity sex offenders in S Korea. For every new accusation of sexual assault against a celebrity all the more reason to believe Yuchun (as well as the others) was a victim of an extortion plot!
@Georgia Peach, it has been proven that extortion was the intent of the accusers backed by gangsters in Seoul. Like right out of a movie plot they set Yuchun up and tried to ruin his reputation. Just think of the other men being accused who don’t have the benefit of good attorneys like Yuchun, and are suffering the same fate of having their careers ruined. At least Yuchun has a large fan base of people who believe in him and will continue to support him. And if he goes out again, having his mother by his side wouldn’t hurt.
KJ, we may jest about his mom going with Yuchun…but this may be a very effective way of building the publics trust again. CJeS might have Yuchun appear at celebrity charity events with his mom…Perhaps going to concerts/ musicals with either brother and/or mom. I really believe Yuchun will be fine…his company will work hard for him and with fan support….I look for a movie in China in 2018!
You say it has been proven the extortion plot was backed by gangs… Did you read this from a reputable source?
@Georgia Peach, I’m going from the arrests of the first accuser and her cousin. The police know the cousin was a gang member and was trying to extort money from Yuchun. As for Yuchun going out with his mother, I don’t really think he needs it, he’s a big boy. If people are going to try to extort money from him again, they’ll do it no matter who he’s with just like his birthday night.
Oh, I know he doesn’t need his mom to go out with him…I’m thinking along the lines of building public trust in him again. I doubt that CJeS will try to get him in dramas or movies without testing public reaction towards him. At some point he will need to put his best foot forward and greet the public again. I’m presuming he has not done that as of yet. It will be a process for him, I’m sure. Yuchun Hwaiting ❗️
I see….about the gangster cousin. I thought there was more news I hadn’t heard. I remember the post about that cousins gang ties being posted here….and they were proven true, right?
I don’t think YC will do it cause he doesn’t want his mom involve it
He always protect his family
Good point, Pakha! He is very protective of her and well he should! Seems I did see a YouTube of her attending something with Yuchun…was it an awards ceremony for Yuhwan??? Need to see if I can find it! Maybe it was the Come On Over that they did?
yes please..
I’ve just posted something rather harsh and unpleasant below the article about the Uhm Tae Woong sexual assault charges on Soompi. I’m STILL burning mad about the hatchet job Soompi did on Yuchun and now here’s another one, in my book a little too close for comfort to Yuchun’s situation. Extortion plots are an epidemic in SK, and the idiot kids on Soompi are posting things like “Oh, gee I hope he’s innocent.” !!!?? WTF?
Okay… I am new to the world of commenting and blogs, but I just read a new article by Yibada that quoted several of us (out of context) regarding Rilanna’s recent editorial. Have any of you seen it? I know these comments are public, but I’m not sure how I feel about continuing to post if they can be used in that way.
By the way… The article is titled, “Park Yoochun Fans Seek Severe Punishment for False Accusers of JYJ Member”
Oh, and by “quote”, I mean paraphrase. They didn’t actually quote us, although they did cite our usernames.
Can that even be considered a “news article”? So bad…
I know… The writing is terrible and most of the comments they used have nothing to do with whether the accussers should be punished. *rolls eyes*
I guess I’m just suddenly wondering if I want to open myself up to this potentially happening again in the future with a different “news” source and having my comments misrepresented in a negative way. I’m typically VERY private and shy and this is all still a bit strange for me. If I didn’t care so much about JYJ and what is currently happening to Yuchun, I would never, EVER have started commenting in the first place. Not that I’m saying commenting is a bad thing; it’s just really scary for someone like me, particularly when something like this occurs. 😦
This is the first time I’ve experienced anything like this here, and what a disappointing first time!
Self-edit if you must, but we can’t lose your voice. From reading your previous posts it appears to me that you have both an Heavenly and an earthly trinity on your side so that fear can be kicked out whenever it dares to creep in.
On a completely personal note, this shy girl spent the better part of the day communicating with people from all over the world because of one of your comments…those people will all gather together because of one of your comments…JYJ has enemies…JYJ Supporters have enemies…don’t let them get in your head. You are exactly where you are supposed to be doing exactly what you are supposed to do. No doubt; no fear we’re all in this together.
Mazelight3, I cannot express to you how much your words just now meant to me! I am crying. (Literally) Thank you!! I was indeed struggling with fear. A fear I have had to overcome countless times in my life when allowing myself to open up to other people. But you are right! I do have a heavenly father who was telling me that I don’t need to give in to it, and your words only affirmed that further. If anything I say or do can be of even the smallest help, then it is worth the risk of being misunderstood or misrepresented. I will be brave and keep fighting! That’s a promise! 🙂
Thank you again for your kindness!! I hope I can do as much for you one day! 🙂
Seryn, where exactly can this be found…post a link if you can, please. Rilanna’s editorial also…where do you find it.
I googled Yi Bada Park Yucun fans Apparently Yi Bada is not a person but a site where various writers contribute brief articles. Names of authors I noted were English or Spanish, male. I didn’t see anything threatening or offensive in the article Seryn mentions. It mentions Rilanna’s editorial that sexual crime offenders should be severely punished but also that those who accuse celebs of sexual crimes they didn’t commit should also be severely punished. Then it mentions a few of us who agree with the editorial and recommend severe punishment as a deterrent.
Hey, ladies, you should be proud for being quoted by others. This gives you kind of an authority. To be quoted is what every writer or researcher finds to be the greatest award 🙂
The 92% fan confidence in and support of YC has also been reported in another article. There are a number of brief articles re YC on that site. But it more or less is a moderate site and no space for comments
@Georgia Peach I didn’t post the link because the few times I’ve tried my comments never show up, but @anna liza p m is right. If you google the title of the article that I listed, it will be the top result. 🙂
@anna liza p m No, there wasn’t anything threatening or offensive in the article. (Other than the fact that it was very badly written.) The thing that bothered me was the idea of what we say here being paraphrased or quoted in a misleading way. The context and intention of several of our statements were not made clear by the author of the article, and if that were to happen with a larger news source, I was afraid they could be used in a negative way. Ordinarily, yes, I would be flattered to be quoted, but there has been so much negativity directed toward Yuchun already, I do not want someone (like Soompi or Allkpop) misconstruing our comments to supposedly “reinforce” one of their articles. It was more so the principle of what this author did that I didn’t like.
Anyway, as I said, I am new to this, so I just hadn’t thought about that kind if thing occuring and I had to take a step back for a minute. I realized that it doesn’t really matter though. Also, even if that were to happen, it’s nothing compared to what JYJ has had to deal with, so if my posts can help them or any of you in some small way, then it’s worth it. 🙂
Apologies… I had a typo. That should have read, “kind of thing occuring.”
Oh, and Georgia Peach, Rilanna’s editorial can be found here on JYJ3. Sorry that I forgot to say that. 🙂
Sorry @ Seryn. I didn’t mean to belittle your worries but compared to the adjectives and expletives we have received from some sites, friends and foes over the years, these articles are not as florid. At times some of them even try to show both sides of the coin which puts them on the more moderate rather than vitriolIus side.
Or may be I didn’t read enough of them since as a matter of principle I abstein from raising my blood pressure by visiting malicious sites. Stick with JTJ3 and don’t give a hoot what anyone else says.
@anna liza p m I didn’t take it that you were belittling my concerns! 🙂 I just wanted to better explain why the article, or rather the pontential of having our comments used in an unintended way, had bothered me. I will definitely stick with JYJ3! You are all so great! I quickly realized, thanks to all the wonderful experiences I’ve had talking with you all and Mazelight3’s comment, that any potential for what we say here being misrepresented is far outweighed by the beneficial aspects of supporting JYJ through this means. Thank you for what you said! I knew your intention was to be encouraging! 🙂
Thanks for the info, Seryn. I was able to find the Yibada post. Like Anna Liza I don’t think there’s anything to be worried about. I haven’t had time today to read Rilanna editorial, but will asap. Let me personally thank you for all you have done to get this #supportforyuchun working. There are some very amazing women here at JYJ3 who have also worked to get the word out. Throughout September y’all should reTweet, rePintreat, and reFacebook to help people remember the October 1 date! But I’m sure you didn’t need for me to tell you that ☺️
Looking forward to beautiful Chunnie tears‼️
We’ve made the commitment to re-post the announcement each week on the StandUp4JYJ Facebook page until the October 1 start date (and each re-post will have a different cute photo of Yoochun!) 🙂
Good plan! Y’all are simply amazing!
me too! seryn has really worked hard for this. i sure hope she gets better soon.
Okay… This is what I was talking about. Now Movie News Guide has done an article using the statements from Yibada, and they misconstrued one of Kimberly J’s comments to mean that Yuchun has been “blacklisted in Japan because of the allegations from a woman named Avex”. (I’m quoting the article.) They didn’t even bother to check their facts enough to know that Avex is a company, not a woman, but now people reading it are going to think he’s been accused of sexual assault in Japan as well, which will further hurt his reputation. Kimberly J said nothing of the sort, but that doesn’t matter since they apparently have no accountabilty. Which is the problem that has existed all along… I just hate to think something we’re saying here is further contributing to the damage. Am I overreacting?
Here is the article… http://www.movienewsguide.com/park-yoochun-fans-seek-severe-punishment-false-accusers-actor-to-move-to-another-country/268413
Oh, boy – here we go. lol Luckily they have a comments section, so JYJ3 ladies, feel free to wander on over and leave yours. Here’s mine:
Hey, B.I.B – Maybe check your facts on a story before you hit “Send.” AVEX isn’t a woman in Japan it’s a record company. Yuchun has never been involved in any crime in Japan. Eight years ago AVEX attempted to blacklist JYJ in Japan, at the time colluding with SME, but JYJ sued and won, just like they did in their suit against SME in S.Korea. Printing crazy, unsubstantiated stories like this has to STOP. You’re dealing with someone’s LIFE here, someone’s ability to ever pursue their chosen career again. Maybe take a little more time and do your research before posting completely and laughably false information.
Thank you, lilibaiyu!! I wanted to leave a comment SO badly, but I don’t have twitter or facebook, or any other acceptable account they require to allow me to login and leave comments. 😠 What you said pretty well sums up what I was thinking though.
I KNEW when I saw that other article something like this would happen. It was the principle of what was being done that bothered me, and I could see it causing damage. I guess there’s no way to avoid the problem entirely, but personally, I will be much more careful in the future with anything I say. I was too naive when I first started posting. I was prepared for others to read my opinions since they are public, but it hadn’t yet occured to me something like this could happen. My purpose in being here is to show support for Yuchun, and it makes me ill thinking that my comments can be used in any way to further hurt him or his career. 😕
If you ever do want to comment, just sign up to Discus. That’s what I did. It’s good for sites all over the web.
Oh, okay. Thanks! 🙂 I didn’t know about that. In this case though, I don’t think I could have said it any better than you and Mazelight already have anyway. lol
Let me give a hardy second to ‘I couldn’t have said it better myself”. And let me add lilibaiyu, mazelight3….You Go, Girls❗️👍🏻
I’m kind of an old hand at this, Georgia Peach. One of the most insulting haters on AllK-Pop once dared me to Google myself and just SEE all the shamelessly pro-JYJ vitriol credited to yours truly. lol I said, Guilty. Guilty as charged. Although I still resist completely being called a “stan” because honestly, I still have not gotten a satisfactory definition of what that is. I’ve never joined a fanclub, I’m certainly not and never was a Cassiopea. I’m just a person who wants, and this is all I’ve ever wanted, justice and fairness for JYJ. Just give them a level playing field and I’m going to put my money on them every time. Once that is accomplished, I’ll retreat back into my gnome hole, enjoy them in private and never be heard from again.
@lilibaiyu, Thank you for what you’ve done! I know exactly how you feel! We’ve discussed this before privately, but when you said…
“I’ve never joined a fanclub, I’m certainly not and never was a Cassiopea. I’m just a person who wants, and this is all I’ve ever wanted, justice and fairness for JYJ. Just give them a level playing field and I’m going to put my money on them every time. Once that is accomplished, I’ll retreat back into my gnome hole, enjoy them in private and never be heard from again.”
I thought again just how similar you and I are in many ways! lol I know I have taken up more than my fair share of the comment section here, but this is quite honestly the strangest thing that’s ever happened to me. It feels like an out-of-body experience. I just DON’T do this, EVER. Not because I think it’s bad to be a fan, or to join a club, or be a member of a blog group like this one. It’s just not in my nature. Like you, all I want is to see is Yuchun standing with his head held high again and back with his two JYJ brothers doing what they all love without hinderance.
Which is all just to say, it is a testiment to them that they inspire the kind of respect that can draw someone like me out of my “gnome hole” that I live in quite happily. lol A hole I will also go back to when I see that they are being treated fairly. 🙂
way to tell em lilibaiyu! i love how you said it.
@lilibaiyu when I began typing there were no comments when I posted I saw yours and immediately came here… Here’s mine:
B.I.B unfortunately you really missed the mark this time. I’m sure you felt some sort of urging from your Spirit not to post this as is. If you were not going to check ANY facts, you should have simply re-posted Yibada’s lazy article.
The easiest to check: He is not a FORMER band member…AVEX is a Japanese COMPANY therefore there are NO allegations nor blacklisting. There is a huge difference between paraphrasing and quoting – did you check the source yourself?
Lastly, when in your profile, you claim to know how to live right, I expect to see evidence of it in your actions / work. What you have done here is rather irresponsible for a writer and for a follower of Christ I would think it at least calls for some soul-searching. False witness is false witness.
Good one!! I like yours better than mine! 😀
@Mazelight Thank you too! You and lilibaiyu both spoke what was in my heart. Since I couldn’t do that myself, I really appreciate it!! 🙂
This crazy lady broke up the band…FORMER JYJ⁉️ I couldn’t leave those words out there uncontested. Hopefully any “journalist” citing that article will at least research to the point of reading the responses in the comment section. Ironically, I believe that I did more research (on the writer) before writing my comment than she did before posting that article.
I am no @lilibaiyu 🙇🏻, one of my heroes here, but none of us would allow SoMonE oe ANYONE to break up the band. #RespectJYJ
**or** I guess I did to take some more deep breaths 🙂
Where is the reply key? @Seryn, @lilibaiyu, @Mazelight3, I too was shocked when I saw my words taken out of context and misused, and I wasn’t flattered that someone would just throw words out so randomly they wouldn’t mean anything. However, looking at both sites BIB, and Yibada both so poorly written, I’m sure they can’t have too many followers. But looking on the bright side of this, with the responses you put out there, at least people reading will learn more about JYJ and what is really happening with Yuchun, and they will know these places are not reliable for information. So don’t worry too much about what is out there in cyber land, I believe all things will work in favor of Yuchun, whether his enemies want it to or not. I also really believe that the more attacks against any member of JYJ, the more fans and anyone who likes justice, will join together in supporting them until they rise far above where they were before this mess started. Most people hate unfairness, and can see extortion and ruining Yuchun’s reputation was part of the plan to bring down JYJ.
@Kimberly J Thanks for the positive perspective! I’ve been really upset about this, but your words, and something Mazelight said to me earlier, make me feel a lot better about it. 🙂
Thx ,Kimberly J, your words made me feel comfort
Thank you so much KimberlyJ – those were exactly the words I needed to hear 💜
@KimberlyJ..I believe in your words..everything will turn in favor to JYJ.,.people who believe in justice and hate unfairness cannot passively sit, this specifically happen to me..the next thing i know i am digging into JYJ history and supporting them any way i can, somehow ended up in a crusade fighting for them..checking sites that tells about them…finally i admire all who are in this site helping each other. 🙂
@Karenina Anna, that’s exactly how I got into JYJ. I had been watching videos and listening to music of their old group, when I discovered one day that they had been broken up for years! After that I started learning that real life for JYJ was like a K-drama that never ends, and like you I had to support them any way I could, including doing things I’ve never done before like signing petitions and making comments. My son’s birthday is the same day as Yuchun, so I follow JYJ like they are family members, and care so much about what happens to them. And like you I’m so glad to have this site to follow that is full of wonderful like minded people.
@Kimberly J
“After that I started learning that real life for JYJ was like a K-drama that never ends, and like you I had to support them any way I could, including doing things I’ve never done before like signing petitions and making comments.”….. “I follow JYJ like they are family members, and care so much about what happens to them. And like you I’m so glad to have this site to follow that is full of wonderful like minded people.”
It has been the same for me. I wonder if they have any idea of the effect they have on people? It’s very rare and very special!
@Seryn, I hope they know of the support they have all over the world. I like to think that all of the united thoughts and prayers will have a positive effect on their lives and future.
Yes, I doo too! 🙂
I’m putting this here for anyone that would like to help us promote the drama marathon event to support Yuchun. I’ve made an updated version of the “poster” for the announcement. Please feel free to use it on twitter, facebook, or any other social media sites. Thanks! 🙂
Here’s a link for the image…
Seryn – Ooo, I love the photo meme. Could you email me just that photo containing the copy later? The writing is too small to post copying the whole thing here but the photo is super great. Thanks for all your hard work and caring!
Sure thing! 🙂
Do you want the part with the hashtags, or just the photo? I can do either one.
I like the hashtags – so yes, include them too. I can’t get it bigger, I did try double clicking.
I just sent it to you. You have mail! 🙂 (Also, I revised it slightly to include the hashtags.)
Thanks!
Oh, I forgot to mention, (which may be part of the problem) that if you double-click on the image here it will give you a MUCH larger version. 🙂
@Seryn, Aww, what a great pic! And thanks to all the organizers. I shall be watching although “dramafever.com” tends to crash on me (may be the browser, I use). Does Viki keep track of the view counts as well?
I just finished rewatching Rooftop Prince. Again. :)) It always lifts my spirits when I feel a bit down. I’ve been a lurker for a while and really warms my heart to see the love for JYJ and thoughtful comments on here.
JYJ, fighting!
Hey waffle&chops – Dramafever and Viki both keep track of the viewerships, you can be sure of that! We hope to impress THEM that Yuchun is a valuable commercial artist that lots of people want to see more of – that’s the idea behind the campaign. It’s our way of helping to rehabilitate his unfairly tarnished image and convince networks and sponsors that WE Want MORE Park Yuchun! once he has been released from army service. 🙂
Good to hear from you waffle&chops….DF use to do that on me too….I added more RAM to my computer. Cheaper than a new computer. Have someone check yours out to see if you can add more.
Don’t just lurk….tell us all how you came to JYJ and who your bias is….or you may be like me😜😜😜it just depends on who I’m posting about at the time….then that’s my bias❗️ Spread the #supportforyuchun on your SNS. This thing is going to be really big! Seryn may be getting a phone call from Yuchun himself really soon‼️
Hello @Waffle&Chops…I lurked for quite some time as well…welcome to the light! I look forward to hearing more from you, no retreating into the shadows.
Thank you for getting onboard this train with us…JYJ, fighting
Thank you, @waffle&chops! 🙂 I second what everyone else has said! I am relatively new here myself, and to commenting in general. I’m shy and also lurked for awhile before I decided to join in, but once I did I quickly realized how great all the ladies here are. Now they can’t get me to be quiet. lol We would love for you to be part of our little group! 🙂
@Also, Georgia Peach… You have a lovely imagination! lol I sincerely hope this suceeds for Yuchun’s sake, but I’m not holding my breath for a phone call. (I’d probably just stutter inarticulately anyway and embarrass myself. Phones make me VERY nervous! lol) Besides, it would need to be a conference call. There are too many others who have contributed just as much as me! 🙂 Honestly though, I don’t care if he ever knows who I am. I just HATE seeing someone treated in this way. My reward will be watching him get his life and career back, and knowing I helped in some small way to make him smile again!
Texas girl, you know you’d love a call from Yuchun‼️ Can you imagine that baritone voice telling you Kamsahamneda❓ #fainting dead away in Texas‼️ You have really done a fantastic job and you deserve a call from him. No one would begrudge you getting to talk to him…even if we didn’t! Yes, and what a reward it will be seeing him getting his life and career back ‼️ Chunnie Smiles ‼️‼️ Yuchun Hwaiting ‼️‼️
lol… Of course I would! I may be shy, but I’m not crazy! 😉 (Even if I did die of embarrassment.) I don’t really feel like I’ve done much though. It would have just stayed an idea in my head if not for all of you! But thank you anyway! It’s very sweet if you to say that! Definitely… BIG Chunnie smiles!! (I think he has one of the world’s most contageous smiles. We cannot let it fade!)
Sorry! Yet another typo… *facepalm* That was supposed to read, “sweet of you”.
@Georgia Peach I received a forwarded copy of the email you sent lilibaiyu. I’m really touched you wanted to contact me! It does feel like we’ve formed a little family here on JYJ3! 🙂 Sadly, for some reason your email address didn’t show up in the letter, so I asked lilibaiyu to send it to me again when she can. However, I think she may be very busy for the next few days, so that may take a little while, and if you haven’t heard from me, that’s why. I wish I could just post my address for you, but I’d rather not share it publicly. 😦 There are several of you I’d love to get to know better. It’s kind of hard to do that on a public forum. I don’t know if Rilanna would mind doing this, and I don’t want to cross the boundaries, but she has my full permission to give any of you that request it my contact info. I hope to talk with you soon! 🙂 Blessings to you, Georgia girl!! ❤️
Hi, there. This piece of news may have nothing to do with YC or it may have a lot to do with his current predicament. I am only posting it because at the beginning there had been claims that the sudden eruption of sex offence scandals about YC and other celebrities was aimed to distract attention from the scandal of the Lotte group.
Looks like the judicial system in SK may move on slow wheels but may not be that corrupt if this chaebol saw suicide as his only exit out of prison.
“SEOUL, AUG 26 (EFE_EPA). — Lee Inwon, Vice Chairman of South Korea’s fifth largest business conglomerate Lotte, who was being probed over corruption charges, was found dead Friday hanging from a tree along a rural road, some 55 km east of Seoul, and a suicide note was recovered from his car, which was found abandoned nearby. Lee was to be questioned the same day by prosecutors. Most of Lotte’s top management as well as the Shin family owner of the group are under the scanner over various charges, including embezzlement and creation of slush funds.
Lotte, which also has extensive business in Japan, is the fifth largest “chaebol,” enjoying great economic power in South Korea”
For those of you who have confessed to being new, watching Jaejoongs drama Triangle, may give you a deeper understanding of what kind of people the chaebols are.
And it’s not just a subject limited to one or two dramas, Anna Liza – I’ve watched scores of dramas when the lives of chaebols have been under the microscope – Koreans seem endlessly obsessed by them, how they live, what their houses, clothes, cars, etc look like, what terrible deeds they do. It seems a combination of Disapproval & huge Envy actually. The men are portrayed as ruthless and corrupt, the women are portrayed as superficial, rude slaves to empty fashion and being cheated on by their cold, distant husbands. And of course, any regular K-citizen would gladly change places with either one in a second. 🙂
That’s right. East of Eden with Song Seung-heon was the first one that gave me a glimpse into the ruthlessness of the chaebol..
I have the feeling that deep inside many Koreans have not yet freed themselves from the caste system when they had no escape from the class they were born into and had to be loyal to their own yangban because there was nowhere else they could go. (something like the feudal lords and their serfs of medieval Europe)
That loyalty to the yangban has now been transferred to the chaebol or the employer on whom they depend for their own and their family’s survival.
Being questioned is not the same as being charged, or being sentenced. Just because there is a report that a man was found hanging from a tree, and a suicide note was found nearby, i am not willing to believe a suicide occurred.
@ Rabi I am not quite sure why you made this comment or what you meant by it. Regarding your first point, I did not say that Lee Inwon had been charged. But there is a big difference between being questioned by a prosecutor and being questioned by the police e. g. YC was questioned by the police then sent to the prosecution as the police cannot charge him in court.
In South Korea prosecutors are legal experts (lawyers) who work in the Ministry of Justice. They are responsible for the entire process of investigations and court prosecutions. They do the investigation (pre-trial), prepare the charge sheet and lead the prosecuting process (at trial).
Korean prosecutors successfully prosecuted former presidents (1995) and sons of the incumbent presidents (1997 and 2002) and have made important contributions to convicting many corrupt high-ranking officials and business leaders.
You don’t believe this was a suicide. True, maybe he was murdered to silence him before he gave damaging evidence. However, in Korea (as in Japan) the sense of honour and loyalty is strongly ingrained and this won’t be the first case when a high ranking official of a company takes his own life rather than testify against his employer. Moreover, this was reported by Yonhap, the national news agency, not by some sleazy backstreet paper. Some quotations from the same source:
“The death of Mr. Lee, 69, came just as prosecutors were stepping up their investigation into Lotte. They questioned another senior Lotte executive, Hwang Kag-gyu, on Thursday. The questioning of the executives was widely seen as a precursor to the summoning of Mr. Shin, who controls Lotte, the fifth largest among the chaebol, or family-controlled conglomerates, that dominate the South Korean economy.
In South Korea, prominent people targeted in criminal investigations have occasionally ended their own lives, apparently trying to avoid public humiliation and imprisonment or to thwart investigations and protect their families or companies. In 2003, Chung Mong-hun, the chairman of the Hyundai Group, killed himself … as he faced arrest on charges tied to the $500 million his company had sent to North Korea to win business rights. Roh Moo-hyun, the former president of South Korea, killed himself by jumping off a cliff near his retirement home in 2009 after he was questioned by state prosecutors in connection with a corruption scandal. In April 2015, Sung Wan-jong hanged himself from a tree hours before he was scheduled to appear before prosecutors seeking corruption charges.
Mr. Lee, widely regarded as the No. 2 in Lotte, was one of the professional executives commonly known in SK for their loyalty to chaebols. These executives rarely betray their bosses during corruption investigations. In the note found in Mr. Lee’s car, he remained loyal to Mr. Shin, calling him “a respectable man” and apologizing to Lotte employees and managers for leaving them in a crisis, Yonhap reported. Mr. Lee also denied that Lotte operated a slush fund.
The pressure on Lotte illustrates the latest challenge to SK’s chaebol, which are important to the Asian countries economy. In previous decades they helped turbocharge SK’s economy and make it an industrial powerhouse. But their conduct has come under increasing scrutiny in recent years, with officials worrying that recurring allegations of corruption and other misbehavior among the families controlling them could further stoke public discontent over growth income inequality and a slowing economy.”

My main interest really is in the last paragraph, the one that shows cracks in the powers of the chaebols and their grip over the government. Can we hope that these cracks are reaching JYJ’s main adversary and rapidly widening so that finally SME will lose their grip over mainstream TV stations and entertainment agencies and our great men can finally play on level ground with others in the entertainment business.
Why I have always been confident that Yuchun is innocent and will overcome this storm is because he IS that kind of person. Here is a quotation of what he once said. Can a man who says this not bounce back on his feet, especially when he feels all the love and support of the fans he loves so much and on whose support his career solely depends?
“Realizing that even when you are going through the hardest time of your life, that moment in itself may be happiness. Realizing that you are happy not because you are having a good time, but that being able to go through the hard times and keep going with your life in itself may be happiness” Yuchun
@anna liza p m Thank you so much for this quote! I had not heard it before. One of the things that’s concerned me the most is not knowing how he is holding up under the strain of this, but ever since I first started watching interviews with him, I’ve always gotten the impression he had a lot of inner strength, and I’ve been praying he’d let this experience develop that further. This quote confirms my impression of him, and that’s very comforting! I think you’re right… It shows that he definitely has what he needs to get through this!
I hope you’re having a great day! Thanks for sharing this bit of encouragement with us!! 🙂
@ Seryn Yes,I recovered quite well but have been snowed under with work. I have not taken my annual leave for 2 years (except 5 days in May) so have applied to proceed wef 5th September, hoping to have a last work day on Friday 2nd and fly out on Friday night so have about a zillion things to finish by then. As I will be away for a little over a month and will be visiting family and friends in various places in Europe I am not quite sure of my time and access to the internet, that’s why I haven’t talked about your great effort of the YC drama event. But I fully support the initiative. Yuchun is a person worth fighting for.
All the best. I will be visiting whenever I can (which in this case is when I am procrastinating)
I’m glad you will have some time to rest. That’s very important! Thank you for your support! And no worries! Just knowing there are people who are cheering us on, even if they cannot particpate, makes a big difference. Have a wonderful vacation, okay!! 🙂
Thx ,Anna Liza pm .
@anna liza p m, thanks for the reminder to Yuchun’s charachter. We’re stressed by what Yuchun has to go through just reading about it, or seeing videos, and I can’t imagine what it’s like for him to be faced with this daily. From what I know of Yuchun, and it’s only what I observe or read, he is probably concerned more for the people around him and how this might affect them. He has always struck me as someone who is sometimes protective, and more like an older brother towards Junsu and Jaejoong, when he’s not teasing them, so he is probably like this with others. Only a man with great mental toughness, and confidence could endure the assaults on his reputation, and I’m certain Yuchun has those qualities. He has become a young man I admire for everything he’s had to endure in his life, from his early years in the U.S., to the fight against SM and the last seven years, and now the attack on him personally. I pray that Yuchun will have happiness again, he deserves it.
Eeek! typo; Yuchun’s character.
I couldn’t agree more, Kimberly J! I’ve had the same thoughts. I strongly believe that God has a good purpose in allowing Yuchun to go through this painful experience, that He knows how much Yuchun is capable of enduring, that He will not give Him more than He can bear, and that there is something even better in store for him down the road, despite the evil intentions of those who have attacked him. It lifts my spirits knowing that for every person out there that wants to bring him down, there are just as many of us who want to see him happy! So many of the comments that you and others here have made here have echoed my own heart. It is my personal belief that there is a strong force working to unite us all during this time. A force which is on Yuchun’s side, regardless of how things may seem at the moment, and that God will heal him of these wounds and restore comfort to him! I have immense faith in that! 🙂
Oops! I had a couple of typos too. 😳 I meant to write, “So many of the comments that you, and others here have made, have echoed my own heart.”.
@Lilibaiyu, @Georgia Peach, @Mazelight3, @Seryn, thanks so much for the warm welcome and tips!
I discovered JYJ in the spring of this year. Yeah, where have I been, right? I’m surprised me it took this long because I started watching Kdrama late 2014 (80 dramas and counting). The dramas introduced me some great OSTs and some Kpop. Yuchun’s dramas, especially RTP and SKKS, were already on my To Watch list since they kept poppoing up on other recommended lists. So there was no particular watch order; just what I was in the mood for. I would sometimes get distracted because once I see a drama/actor that I like I would go looking for their other dramas and watch those too. I watched SKKS right after the DoTS completed its run this year. I had already seen some dramas with Song Jong Ki, Park Min Young and Yoo Ah In. I quite unprepared was completely taken by Yuchun (Lee Sun joon). ;)) No turning back now… and it was on to RTP, Missing You, Three Days, the whole works. At the same time I went on a big researching quest and playing catch-up and discovered the whole backstory (DBSK, JYJ, etc.).
Where have these guys been all my life?! I regret being so late to the “party”. But I’m forever grateful to all those who continued to keep the faith. Funny thing is, I was already familiar with XIA’s music; DoTS and Empress Ki are 2 of my favorite OSTs. And that lightbulb moment when I made the connection between him and his OSTs on SKKS! Also, realized I had already seen Jaejoong in Dr. Jin (which I didn’t finish… a bit too much gore for me).
@ Georgia Peach… my bias? Ooh, that’s like asking a mom which is her favorite child…lol. My heart has many rooms. I respect and love these guys to bits, and wish nothing but the best in life for them. Quite apart from his smexiness (and aren’t they all?), I would have to say Yuchun because he was my “gateway” to discovering all about the group and their whole backstory. Before this, I kind of shied away from Kpop because my hands were already full with just the dramas alone. The amount of sleep I’ve lost just watching dramas…lol. So thanks to Yuchun, I’m committed now. :))
Sorry, this went on much longer than I planned.
@waffle&chops We’re so glad you decided to join in! 🙂 Welcome to the JYJ family! I’m a relatively new supporter also, but better late than never, right? lol I also discovered JYJ because of Yuchun’s dramas. It’s strange how someone you don’t even know can have such an effect on your life, but like you, watching him in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” led to me to do a lot of research and watch a lot of interviews. Which in turn led me to the point that I am at now of having enormous respect for him, Jaejoong, and Junsu. They are all three unique, but equally amazing people! If I have to say who my bias is though, it is Yuchun, like you. He just has so many rare and admirable qualities as a person, and he has dealt with the struggles in his life with such a courageous spirit. (Plus, I will not lie, his “puppy-dog” eyes tug at my heart. lol) It hurts to see him going through something so painful yet again, but I believe he has the stength to overcome this.
Anyway, it’s good to have someone else who shares our respect for these men and wants to support them! I look forward to getting to know you better! 🙂 Blessings to you!
Oh, and no worries! You probably won’t believe this, but I actually don’t talk very much in person. lol For some reason though, when I’m writing, all of my thoughts come pouring out. Not only that, but the ladies here have made me feel very safe and welcome, and I really love being able to talk with such likeminded individuals. It’s very rare that I find that. So don’t feel like you have to keep your comments short. If that was a problem they would have banned me loooong ago. lol 🙂
W&C…your story closely parallels mine…my into to JYJ was Jae Joong in Dr. Jin. And you must, must finish the drama. Jae is wonderful in the last half of this drama. (Anna Liza and I want to recommend the other Jaedramas as well) I’m a 4a.m.er myself with these dramas. Totally understand chasing those actors and actresses you enjoy in one drama and looking for them in others. And like you I’m some 70 dramas deep and when I made the connection of the Kpop idol in Scent Of A Woman being Junsu. And the OST from Nice Guy…..Love Is Like A Snowflake….also being Junsu. And Jae singing in Dr. Jin’s OST Living Like A Dream!!!! Well, I was a TOTAL goner….and going too fast now to stop the momentum❗️
Don’t think you’re late to this party ’cause this party has just begun and will go on for a long time. As long as these three talented men of Korea want to entertain us….then this party will go on and on!
My first Yuchun drama was I Miss You…my favorite of all he has done. Him sitting on the steps looking at the young Soo Yeon tore my heart so! And as Koreamom and I like to say…he cries beautiful Chunnie tears😢😢😢. His acting is good because I believe he is a man of deep emotions and strong intellect.
We meet each day! Rilanna is the best admin….we love her. She works hard for us so we can enjoy all the news about Our Men😘❤️❗️ And we all cry together when the news is sad and rally together with #supportforyuchun ‼️
I loved your post! I started with JYJ the same way you did. I was watching “The Legend” with Bae Yong Joon and the title song (which played over and over and over) was by DBSK. By the end of that series I was hooked right then and there. When JYJ broke away from SM, I was totally on board with them – I always felt the other two were non-essential to their power as artists. My first bias was also Yuchun. “My Girlfriend” is still among the top 3 of my most played songs on iTunes. Somehow or other though, I must confess to switching to Jaejoong over the years. No idea when it happened, it just did. But I totally love all three and I want them to always remain JYJ because of course they are free within that group to go off and do solo projects anytime they want to. (I also have loved all their solo projects.) So that’s me. 🙂
(I’ve already posted this comment on a different thread, but I’m leaving it here as well, so anyone who doesn’t follow that one can also see it.)
Ladies, do any of you have a google+ account? If so, would you be willing to let some of the Yoochun supporters on YouTube know about the project by posting the info on it in the comments section of the fan channels with larger followings? I was going to do it myself, but I don’t have a google+ account for many different reasons and without one it won’t let me leave comments. If it’s not too much trouble, I think it would help to get the word out. You are all so great! Thank you for everything you’ve already done! Fighting, everyone!!🙂
I don’t know how many of you know about this blog or have seen this post, but I wanted to share a link with you to this particular article. It touched me deeply because I think it represents most, if not all, of our hearts concerning this matter. I also suspect the author may be one if our group here, and if so, I want to say thank you once again for your words on Yuchun’s behalf! 🙂

seryn, thank you for sharing that! it is a good read and soothes our hearts, you got a thumbs up from me too! ❤
*sigh* Well, now I feel silly! I accidently hit the button and gave myself a thumbs up. 😳 Jellybean is going to think I’m a narcisist. 😣 Why do these kinds of things always happen to me? 😩😒
Anyway… Thank you, koreamom! You’re the best!! ❤️🙂❤️
P.S. I should have entitled that last comment, “Chronicles of a Socially Awkward Clutz”. lol
Gosh! *facepalm* I meant to write “Klutz”.
you are the best for being so active and starting this wonderful project for yuchun! i am only in the cheerleading section for i know not how to do much technically~ and these things happen to me also so you are not alone!
Cheerleaders play a very important role too! They keep everyone one energized when they’re tired or discouraged. You always do a fantastic job of that! Thank you so much for your encouraging spirit! 🙂
i am all for cheerleading! and i think i love your spirit and enthusiasm! thank you for being a great internet friend~
I’m honored to be your friend! 🙂 I so admire people who have your spirit of gentleness and positivity! I posted my email address on one of the other comment threads, but just in case you didn’t see it, it’s serynsong@gmail.com . Write me anytime, okay!
thank you! i will when things calm down around my house 😦
