Musical ‘Death Note’ placed 1st place in reservations at the same time on each site with the 1st round of advance sales open.
‘Death Note’ started the advance sales of its tickets from 2 PM on December 1st and topped in reservations on major advance sales sites; like, Interpark, Yes24, and Hana Ticket. It beat out competitors ‘Phantom [of the Opera]’, ‘[The Count of] Monte Cristo’, ‘Aida’, and ‘Rachmaninoff’.
Based on the manga of the same name, it portrays a battle of brain that unfolds with L who is a detective faces against a genius college student who finds a Death Note and punishes bad people [with it]. It is a record-setting, box-office hit that sold out the last time back when it premiered in 2015.
At the encore performance this time, Han Ji-sang and Ben have joined as the new actors; together with lead actors of the premiere performance Kim Junsu, Park Hye-na, and Kang Hong-seok. Production company C-JeS Culture said, “There seems to be a lot of anticipation for the encore performance, as much as a beloved work with a solid story and perfect characters,” and, “We would like to repay you with a degree of completion and high-quality performances”.
There will be performances done at Seoul Arts Center’s Opera House in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul from January 3rd to 26 next year.
