Again, thank you for the encouragement. None of my friends here are as excited as y’all are. I think they believe if anything happens to me it would be their fault if I give me encouragement. It seems a daunting task right now making sure I have all need. Watched Jae’s VLive. He is so charming. I know I will be frustrated both during his mention and during Death Note!

Anna Liza, I get impulsive and then start over thinking 😩😩😩. It seems so overwhelming to try to think of all you need in order to leave….those back ups and cautions when you know you are not with someone. Japan? Well, I was younger and better looking then and was on an an Air Force base with a husband to boot!
Dress code! I have gone to the screen printers and they have ‘designed’ a tshirt for me. On the front it says…..Today’s My Birthday (red letters) in English and then in Korean (black letters). On the back it says….The Rebirth of J…. Kim Jae Joong, 2017 Tour in Korea. I’m going to have them remove the ‘in Korea’ since he’s also going to Japan. The tshirt will be white and I’ll wear a red turtle neck under it. I think I will stand out anyway….Caucasian and all. The tickets are VIP, but still standing! Eleventh row right side from the front door. Hope that is eleven from the front and not eleven from the back😢. Guess they reckon they can get more in by standing and nobody sits down anyway!
I’ve been drinking Korean red ginseng tea ( a Christmas gift from the Korean couple I met last year) each afternoon and taking mega doses of vitamin C…remember Jae always says …don’t catch cold? Keep sending your encouragements. I delight in them. 😚😚😚

You know what. I am sure that as soon as you land at the hotel you will spot plenty of other foreigners who are there for the very same concert. Now, if I have learnt anything about you, Georgia,. it is that you are open-minded and got the gift of the gab, and the Americans I have met in my life have never been as pretentious as to look down their noses and refuse to speak to strangers unless introduced. Ergot, you simply chat up some of those fans and make friends just as you have made friends with us here and thereafter, the going gets easy.
When I was on the Gaya island resort in Malaysia last May,the first evening I went to eat at the Japanese corner. Next to me was a young couple speaking in a language I did not understand so I was just minding my own business. Eventually, they greeted me in English and it turned they were Turkish but the guy had business interests in Kenya and we talked of the places he had visited. The lady turned out to have studied in England, so we talked with her about England and I had a very pleasant evening, although they were the very first Turkish people I had ever talked to in my life.
Who knows, GP, you might even meet someone from Georgia and then you will have great company when you go back home having discovered a person of mutual interest.
So, stop worrying and look forward to having a blast of a time, I am sure within hours you will go to the sales of the JJ stuff and it’s impossible not to meet at least some other lonely creature and engage them in a conversation re JYJ. and you will have so much to talk about and share.

Anna Liza, you are funny! thanks for that! He might have said that when he was really young and wanted the ugly girls to come to concerts too….LOL. And yes, I have kissed the Blarney Stone for real! And I do look forward to who I will meet. Since the hotel is within a mile of JJ’s venue…I certainly pray there will be some American or English speaking girls there I can ride/walk to and from the venue with. That is my only concern…getting back to the hotel after dark….Seoul Arts Center is some 8 miles from the hotel……know the venues will be will lit, but hailing a cab and riding single …. well, I would like to have a group or another person. I may be fool hardy, but I’m not unaware of dangers. So I’ll be asking around of the hotel staff and people I see. Great story about meeting the Turks. And I have so often said it is not so much where you go, but it is the people you meet. Someone from Georgia…now that really, really, really would be something else‼️‼️‼️‼️
Georgia peach, red is a great color to use to attract attention! Put a large red flower on the side of your hair and I guarantee you will be noticed and hopefully given the gift of a smile aimed straight at you!
A flower in my hair? I’d not thought of that. I should do it! I do look forward to making friends with the hotel saff…I’ll need their guidance. And any others…especially concert goers! I am hoping to meet again the Korean girls I meet on a sight seeing boat in New York harbor two years ago. I have made contact through Facebook with one, she is living in Suwon….so I don’t know. Fingers crossed!

@GP, so happy to hear about your trip. We shall be living the dream vicariously through you so please keep us posted on everything. So envious but happy too.:) Remember that you have at least one bond with those coming to the shows. That alone is an ice-breaker; everyone has a story. I’m sure you’ll have a blast and end up making some great friends too. Have a safe, happy and memorable trip.
oh i agree! one of my friends i met at the 2008 shinhwa last concert before army and we still talk thru FB! and i agree, go with red to light up your area around you! i forgot how many days you are going for. will you have time for any sightseeing? or will you stick close to the boys and watch for them? you are gonna love every minute and it will go wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to fast. i love that you are going. i wil regret not going with you i think.
Koreamom, I’m leaving on the morning of the 17th, arriving Korea the evening of the 18th. I’m resting and getting oriented on the 19th. Hopefully doing some sightseeing on the 20th. Concert on the 21st. DN on the 22nd. That leaves the 23rd for shock recovery and the 24th for more sight seeing. Home flight is 7pm on the 25th. I really want to take time to post here if my heart is strong enough to do. And it would be wonderful to make a friend that I can stay in contact with after this adventure! You know though, we are quite the family here at JYJ3! And there is still time and tickets❗Meet me there❗You are sooooo going to regret not going❗

OKAY……I have a stop over in Seattle arriving at 10:45 pst on the 17th. Out bound from SeaTac at 12:06 on flight 199 to Seoul….Incheon airport….not Gimpo. I only have a single room, Koreamom. It was $73per day. Went on hotels.com sight and it had gone down to $72. I’m sure you can get a room. You can do, you can do it! Fighting ❗

This is what i sort of mentioned to GP yesterday – she will CERTAINLY not be the only International fan there! There will be lots of them, probably even ones staying at her hotel. So with her wonderful outgoing personality she’ll make fast friends.. Because that one thing they ALL have in common is a doozy. 🙂

Girl, it is a long trip, but I so know it will be worth it to get to see Jaejoong perform. To say nothing about Junsu. I have been reading the synopsis of Death Note so I will know what is going on. Remembered going to the Metropolitan Opera in Atlanta to see La Boheme…should have read about it first! Lesson learned! I don’t think Junsu or Jaejoong have equals…. there or anywhere ! My section is row 11 block 2 for Jaejoong. You could go to both of Jae’s performances one on the 21 and again on the 22 if there are no Junsu tickets! Please commmit! You’ll regret it so much! My deciding thought was…..who knows what will be for me tomorrow…
well, i could make it work if i went to friday deathnote. see, if i was going i want to do both also with junsu the most since as you said, he is leaving for 2 years. the flight is good too. this is how bad i want to go cause i even looked it all up and planned it out. but, my husband will not let me. i have done this many times and our situation is not good right now. i think i am deluding myself to think i could swing it again. my personal situation just won’t work.

However, I have gone to dramacool in the past and my antivirus or something…I’m not sure will not allow me to get it for more than a few minutes. Then I start getting lots of garbage on the screen or it goes black. I have found a web sight ….deathnote.wikia.comthat has a synopsis, songs listed, some are highlighted and go to YouTube. It has descriptions of the characters also. Have printed it off and hope to have it memorized by th22nd. Please keep your suggestions coming! Everyone please offer travel tips, etc. I’ve bought international phone coverage and will call the hotel tonight to see if it works.

Just a few extra thoughts, gp -as Japan has glasses that you can rent that show instant translations for some shows, maybe death note has the same? Also my friend was in SK last summer and was warned that most taxis are ok but the ones that take you from the airport to the hotel tend to rip newcomers off and since the trains are decent there and there also might be a bus available for your hotel, it might be a good idea to look for these alternatives when you arrive. You seem to be a seasoned traveler so you probably already know this but I wanted to pass this info along just in case as I am wishing you a wonderful trip!
Thanks, A. ,for the info on the glasses! I’ll check into it. Yes, there is a bus to a station one minute from the hotel. But the hotel has also told me the taxi serve would be 85,000 Won. If he wants more than that he’ll not get it if I decide on the taxi. I’m just afraid in my altered state due to traveling….I’ll miss the right station. 🛫🙃🛬. Trust me….I’m not so seasoned!
