I am dying of curiosity. Is our fashionista starting a new fashion trend replacing the breast coat pocket and handkerchief with this ornament? Or are these military decorations that he received for various achievements which put him in the special grade soldier. It must be of much significance to Jaejoong because that coat was taylor made stitching in that loop that holds the ring with the decorations.
I’m curious too Liza but I don’t think it’s the award or medals he received in the army because it doesn’t look army serious, if you get what I mean. It is a bit too leisure on the ornament so I think it’s a new trend started by him.
@ Eunice. Yes, I agree with you. I have seen since a close up. It looks like charms that are normally worn on a bracelet. Our fashionista has come up with a new design for a dinner jacket, replacing the boring centuries old pattern of pocket and a handkerchief. He has hardly landed and he is already running with new ideas. Our airport fashionista is now turning into formal fashionista. There is no boredom in JJ kingdom.
True that. Maybe that is one of his latest design for Moldir? Usually he will wear his latest design before Moldir announce it to the world. Also I am happy that he won the Asia Popularity Award but a bit regret that he didn’t get the chance to perform. Besides, I was wondering why he came out from backstage and left right after he received his trophy. Is this one of the terms and conditions for him to attend the ceremony? Like, you can come but no sitting together with other artists and no performance from you? Arghhh….
I don’t know the story behind, but I watched (out of curiosity) the awarding of the Global Popularity Award on the 2nd day won by Shinee, (only 0.48% over Jaejoong) unfortunately only one member out of 5 (Minho) attended the award ceremony, of course no performance. If I’m a Shawol I would freak out, spending all the money and effort but only 1 was present. The whole group Shinee won a Bonsang for Album and also one of it’s member Taemin won another Bonsang award as a solo singer but then again only Minho claimed the other 2 trophies. (What’s happening SM?) I was thinking the fans should not have voted hard when Shinee won’t be attending, JJ could have also won the Global. With regards to backstage, Rain was also at the backstage on the 2nd day. Fans who were there said that the backstage was full of celebrities, the presentors and other performers, and the staff/coordis of each celebrity. And Jaejoong didn’t leave right after receiving his trophy, he did an interview.
@Kris I read a comment on YT that Shinee were absent because they are all in Japan rehearsing for a performance there.
Regarding the rest of the stuff, I wasn’t there so don’t have the answers but I do have questions. His dressing room was in a tent. Is this normal? Are the dressing rooms of other celebs in tents? Other celebs were on the back stage,as well. Right but they had designated seats on the main stage, too. It was their choice to move around. Did JJ have a designated seat and was he on the back stage by choice.? Were all other prize winners given the opportunity to perform (excepting those who were unable to or chose not to)? Why wasn’t JJ given a similar opportunity?
I am extremely proud that JJ won the Asia popularity award but this was decided by the fans, not by the GDA organizers. However, we lost the other one by a very small margin after voting fiercely. Why? Some of us were reporting strange things going on during the voting period. The JJ Korean fan club had foreseen and were smart enough to have it on record at the very beginning, when nobody expected that a serving soldier stands a chance to win anything,. that if JJ won the popularity vote, he would be given the prize and invited. Thus GDA had not much choice but to invite him. Looks like SM don’t have as much influence in China as they do in SK.
I am saying all this because, I do not want us to be lulled deceptively that from now on, all is Okay. We have to be observant and cautious,take things one at a time as they come and be ready to react on short notice.
Am I saying that we wasted our time and money for nothing? No, not at all. First, and most important, this was a great birthday present to Jaejoong, the most lovable and most hurt and sincere heart of all those who call themselves celebrities. I do not think he would have appreciated any other present more than this. Moreover, considering how worried he was that he would lose his fan base while he was away, this was the best reassurance he could get that gives him the confidence to go full steam. ahead with his projects.
Secondly, with his poise and beauty so easy on their cameras, no B or wasted exposures, Jaejoong definitely attracted the attention of the journalists.They have splashed his phots and vids all over the media and they will certainly be on the look out for what comes next from this popularity winner. We all know, the press is hungry for popularity.

I can’t answer your questions, I follow crystalmoon64 and @jaetaku who are in Korea and are translating/sharing actual accounts and reading comments in galleries but they don’t share anything about that.
I’m far from lulled deceptively but as I said in my comment at the other post, it’s a personal choice “to see the glass half full or half empty.” I choose to see it as half full, even if it’s only a quarter full or 1/10 full, I’ll still be grateful for the glass was empty for the past 7 years. Baby step at a time is better than not having a single step at all. Yes, everyone can find (or imagine) lots of reasons for feeling down but I choose to find reasons to celebrate, and work and pray even harder for JJ to take a greater step in the future.

(sorry couldnt upload,,havent’ have the hang of doing what kris is so skilled at,.accidentally seen chromed hearts retweet)

Ah,kris! You can’t be serious. This is the very first time I hear that military = elegance.
Somehow I feel sure that elegance, grace and dignified propriety were qualities Jaejoong most certainly possessed well before he entered the barracks. Think of his modelling in Vienna, wasn’t he all of that and more?.
He might have learnt other things in the military, gained friends and supporters but he has been an elegant fashionista for ever.
Kris, i’ve already known that he has this graceful elegance even before, mix with his playfulness and ethereal cuteness,,,the dignified propriety is more defined or more pronounced than ever before because of his military training, that’s why military men is so manly. oh..i could drool forever 🙂 this excite me more about his concert.
