I find it so interesting but more than that so moving that Jaejoong does not forget, can not forget what happened to him at the hands of SM. From time to time, people tell us here on JYJ3 and elsewhere that we need to “get over it” we need to “just move on” and stop talking about the trial years and its unjust aftermath but many of us won’t do that and it seems Jaejoong can’t either. Also, I found it intriguing that he said he is not “allowed” to talk about certain things in his past. I wonder what he means? Perhaps a clause in their final settlement with SM that states that he can not publicly disclose the details of the trial, etc. But I wonder why he feels bound to this code of silence when SM has not in ANY way lived up to their end of the agreement, for instance that the nationwide ban against their appearances on music and variety shows is still firmly in place.
I think making such big decision that would impact your life and having a lot of repercussion have happen in that decision is not something worth forgetting…when you gain a lesson from it and make you as who you are.
The most disappointing fact is that, he cannot talk about it…SM has taken that to great advantage (so truth and lies overlaps) although i sense that he wants to clear up certain things in his past…this made me sad. but also i’m happy that he said “No matter what happens i won’t give up I’ll try harder.” (A lot of encouraging words from his concert)
Personally i think the conflict to us people would never stop unless that ban is lifted and he can make appearances in music and variety show..it’s been like a healing wound who continually keep rubbing salt in it,..that’s why it is harder to accept by saying get it over or move on,,,the best thing is we need to learn the sensitivity but others really cross that line..”the water is deep and clear but don’t make ripples or waves on it”…sigh, sorry, my emotions got the better of me, i like you comment.
It’s been so sad and frustrating to see how much it hurts them, I’m so with you on that. To be not invited to awards shows where they have been winners, then hastily replaced with others, like it’s nothing. It’s shocking, really that this can happen. And of course, never any consequences for SM, ever. The next gen Korean K-Pop fans certainly don’t care, that’s for sure. The whole industry is riddled with corruption and fixing of all kinds: charts, awards, music shows – no one cares, no one demands that they clean up their act.
But Jaejoong said in an earlier mention that he is “thinking very hard” about what he can do to remedy his situation. I’ll be interested to see what he comes up with. 🙂
P.S. I posted this on the StandUp4JYJ Facebook page today: http://www.allkpop.com/article/2017/03/fair-trade-commission-corrects-6-unjust-terms-in-trainee-contracts-from-sm-jyp-yg-cube-more
True, how fortunate is the younger generation K-pop idol right now, they work hard but still can have a bit of proper life, now that changes has been made.. since these companies has been doing this for such a long time that had become their code of conduct. The main thing is whether they (Korean entertainment industry) acknowledge or not, what happen with JYJ has put that awareness, to correct unjust terms in contracts done by this major companies….well, when things is meant to happen it will happen,no matter what crap up issues comes out and manipulation done.
You know, i really like what Jaejoong said in his interview in Cosmo Korea,,about transforming.. but remain as he is…it is something isn’t it.. 🙂 same as you let’s look forward to what he comes up with 🙂
What occurs to me though, Karenina, is that every time those big management companies feel the pinch of no longer being able to relentlessly exploit their young singers they silently curse JYJ as having been the cause of it. If that’s the case then an industry-wide collusion to shut them down would suddenly become feasible. There IS something desperately wrong going on in the music industry of Korea, that much is certain, SM has been warned multiple times now to put an end to the ban. All the stern letters from the KFTC have simply been ignored, with no further consequences because as it turns out, they have no actual power to enforce their rulings. I suppose that they rely on the weight of public opinion and the fear of consumer backlash to spur compliance, but as we know, SM doesn’t care about that because…. they have EXO. They have Girls Generation. And SHINee, etc etc. And they know for a fact that their young consumers of K-Pop don’t care about anything except joining the long established throngs of the fandoms, with their clearly delineated behaviors, passions and assorted catch-phrases and approved attitudes.
This is why the very first order of business for SM when DBSK broke apart was to shatter Cassiopeia and turn them all bitterly against each other so they could not organize a united front against SM as they did once before. That actually worked and SM had to cave that time. I’m sure Lee Soo Man said “Never again” after that and his minions got busy circulating rumors and lining up agitators to attempt to destroy the characters of the members of JYJ. It was a terrifically unnerving thing to see unraveling, and what I remember most is that you could NOT get through to any of the haters, no matter how you tried to explain what was actually happening vs the various rumors going around. I don’t think things have really changed much to this day.
Totally agree, this is just the scenario that they were all riding in the same boat together like a big conspiracy thing..those big management companies knows they can also gain in agreeing with SM, shutting down JYJ. We know how vindictive SM is,.. for Sm, the banning and blocking of JYJ has a double purpose thing for them, one,.it gives them time to build their artist strongly in place in kpop industry which gives them an upper hand in everything..feeding only their own concept of what kpop is, as we know younger consumers just take it all in , two, they don’t want it to be known that JYJ exist because the existence of JYJ comes also the story of Kpop dark side.
Yeah, i can imagine all this total mess…how come such a big fandom as Cassiopeia be in such a mess, I realized that SM sets that mood, when i was just starting to like Jaejoong it is inevitable that you would also know DBSK..as 5 of them they are surely unbeatable..i can see how cunning Lee Soo Man is, basically his minions created the discord in the fandom.
SM pulling out all the stops to create discord and a split within the Casseopeia fandom, never forgetting the absolutely instrumental role that Homin played in whipping up fan enmity, one member of which was the former leader of DBSK. “Great” leadership ability during the split and afterwards? Hardly. Playing a major part in damaging and defaming their former members? Definitely.
Of course that is a reality in all this mess, if you were under the company’s wing..you are obligated and willingly do whatever terms they laid out,..by being willing about it, you are allowing everything..Homin made that choice and it’s perfectly clear where their loyalty is..and SM is using that to the full. seeing these maneuver, putting confusion, a big emotional blackmail happens, playing the emotional state of the fandom, they (sm) couldn’t afford an amicable atmosphere to settle in even up to now.
In the long run i had hope for the fandom to have mature enough to be able to recognize if there’s a bad rotten fruit in the midst of them and know how to deal with it.
Let’s coexist..time can only teaches us to flow
JYJ has gone through a lot, and i have respected those who have been with them since at the start and supported them up until now, the bond they have is the main reason why i am with JYJ.
Hope one day JJ, you’ll also sing I’ll Protect You in top 3 major languages Chinese, Spanish and English (some lyricists can always pen down the lyrics), what a lovely song representing our fandom 🌟💚💚💚.
So PROUD of you Kim Jaejoong, you have now 5 songs in Japanese, your own original song, no need to recycle old group songs which can rattle a lot of feathers. You are your own entity, KIM JAEJOONG, singing your own songs.
And your Fans are always around cherishing every single song you’ll sing …https://media.giphy.com/media/l0IykXB1Z1fbQ01k4/source.gif
