I don’t think there is a real difference in his hands before and after the enlistment. Indeed, his hand looks humongous in this vid because of the illusion created by bringing it right in front of the camera while pulling his body back and away.
However, his hands are really large and strong. I had once remarked that judging by the size of his hands and feet (which are also large, though narrow) he was probably meant to be taller but because of mal-nourishment, lack of sleep and hard work at the time when boys normally shoot up in their height, he did not grow up as tall as he was meant to be. However, working on a building site made his hands and arms strong and his arms have always been muscular, even when he has been at his skinniest. This is my own opinion and I might be wrong but I have always had this feeling.
I used to think his fingers are quite long, and I knew his hands quite big. But in recently photos, I feel like his fingers seems shorter and hands are thicker.
Anyway, I like him not because of his hands, but because he is Kim Jae Joong. Even I saw a lot of comments said he looks too skinny and ugly in year 2013, but I still feel he is attractive and handsome 😀
