Actor Park Yoochun, also from the group JYJ, won the Rookie Award at the fourth Beautiful Artists Awards.
Park Yoochun received prize money of 20 million won (18,000 USD) along with his award at the Seoul Press Center International Ceremony Hall.
“I was happy when an article about my award also stated that I would be getting prize money,” confessed Park Yoochun. “All joking aside, the money isn’t as important as the fact that I’m actually standing here accepting this award, which I had not even dreamed of winning.”
“I was lucky to debut in a movie, and once I had a taste of acting for the big screen, I fell in love with it,” he added. “Thank you for awarding me with this honor, and I will use this to further my passion for acting.”
He claimed he would use his prize money “with his staff.”
Park Yoochun made his debut as “Dongsik” in the film, “Haemoo,” directed by Shim Sung Bo.
