Park Yoochun sweeps Newcomer awards
JYJ’s member Park Yoochun has swept Newcomer awards at all kinds of film awards ceremonies. Park Yoochun was selected as the winner at the 15th Busan Film Critics Association Awards, which was announced on November 28. He also received the Best New Male Actor Award that was given at the Korean Film Critics Association Awards on November 13, and received the Newcomer Award given at the Daejong Film Awards on November 21. Park Yoochun was favorably received for exceptional acting from an idol, at demonstrating an impassioned performance in <Sea Fog> that was released last August. Park Yoochun even was nominated at the 35th Blue Dragon Awards, to be held on December 17.

Park Yoo-chun proves himself as a new sought-after actor in Korean movie industry sweeping new male actor awards presented by critics. It is unprecedented an idol who turned an actor receives such awards.
He received the award for New Best Male Actor in the 15th Busan Movie Critics Award by Busan Movie critics association on the 27th. The association is well known for being strict in selecting the award winners based on the artistic value of the movie and the actor’s actual acting quality than the box office ranking.
Park Yoo-chun is the first award winner from the association among the idols who turned an actor. Those involved in movie industry are surprised by his scoring the award from the strict critics association.

OBS ‘Unique Entertainment News’ captured on camera the faces of honor at the 51th Daejong Film Awards.
First, for the New Actor category where one can enjoy the honor only once in an actor’s life, movie ‘Sea Fog”s Park Yoochun and movie ‘Obsessed”s Lim Ji-yeon had the honor of being awarded for succeeding in their first screen challenge.
Before being awarded, Park Yoochun said, “It’s my first movie, and I’m happy to be nominated. If I get the award for this year, I think I can finish [the year] well,” and replied, “I dreamed about buying a car.” to the MC’s question, what did he dream about.
