# ‘Sea Fog’, Director Bong Joon-ho’s first production
Due to be released this summer, ‘Sea Fog’ is in an unknown sea fog where one cannot see what’s in front of oneself, it is the piece of work about the story of six mercenary crew members on an old ship who are swept into an uncontrollable accident when they shift over to ferrying stowaways. From veteran actors to rising stars onscreen, it boasts the strongest casting combination of Kim Yoon-seok, Park Yoochun, Han Ye-ri, Lee Hee-joon, Moon Sung-geun, Kim Sang-ho, and Yoo Seung-mok; it is calling out to audiences’ expectations.
Above all, receiving critics’ and audiences’ enthusiastic support from his latest work ‘Snowpiercer’ –including ‘Memories of Murder’, ‘The Host’–, Director Bong Joon-ho –considered as Korea’s representative director– is attaining his first time producing the movie by Director Shim Sung-bo –who wrote the script to ‘Memories of Murder’– and is making headlines.
Revealing the 10-minute-long promotional video at the film market of the Cannes Film Festival, ‘Sea Fog’ is raising expectations, having sold for a higher amount that exceeds the average sales prices of South Korean films, by targeting buyers to make all of its seats sold out for the preview that was presented only twice.
Note: parts unrelated to Sea Fog were omitted.
