There are five main Korean fansites: DNBN, Yuerubi (유애루비), Ikadong (이카동), DC TVXQ gall, Telzone.
Before I explain the differences between these fansites, let me make one point clear first.
Cassiopeia, as used in fandom vernacular, stands for all fans that support TVXQ.
(Although to be an official Cassie, you must join the fanclub which is operated by SM.)
Therefore Cassiopeia includes all fansites that are in existence.
Now let me address the differences between fansites.
DNBN is one of the most representative Korean fansites. Until recently, they supported all five members.
2. Yuerubi (유애루비)
Yuerubi is the biggest fansite, having nearly 750,000 members.
Among major Korean fansites, Yuerubi is the only site that still supports all five members.
The age of the members are rather young compared to other sites. Yuaerubi’s daily traffic has gone down significantly in recent years so its large membership is deceiving of actual fandom climate.
Part I: JYJ and Cosmetics Business
“Who is Forever?” is an incredibly insightful and informative article written by Moto of “Moto’s Planet” (http://blog.naver.com/xdrugx). It is an absolute must-read for all JYJ fans and anyone who wishes to know more about the fan war and the lawsuit. It is an extremely long article containing information about many topics; therefore I have decided to translate and post it in several parts.
Q. Who is “Forever”?
A. The one who started this nasty fan war.
“Once upon a time in a village far away, lived five men. One day…” seems to be the right way to start the story. My goodness, do I have to repeat this old story again? However, one thing I have noticed from observing the whole TVXQ situation is the fact that the fans have extremely little knowledge, and this ignorance is the result of “negligence by the ones who know”, “avoidance by the ones who must know”, and “brainwashing done to those who don’t know”. Avoiding the truth may have seemed to be the better way until now, but, from now on, it will be, more or less, a crime. So let us be fans who “know”.
In a GQ interview, Heechul had commented, “Of course I have a lot of problems with the company too. But I don’t think I need to complain about it to the public. Honestly, do I make little money? No. They talk about slave contracts all over the place now. But the funny things is, what kind of slave buys building for parents? What kind of slave has a car? What kind of slave has the time to play around drinking?”
Some Cassiopeians that read this assumed that it was meant to be a jab toward the JYJ members and have gotten furious. Although Heechul has ignored most of the attacks toward him, it seems like he has finally reached his limit; he has recently retweeted one of the aggressive tweet towards him and commented, “Wow, you really can’t speak properly…”
The attack tweet said, “Don’t butt in, did you throw away your common sense in the Han River?? Or did you sell it in the market?? Why are you stick your nose in places you shouldn’t, you slave ㅡㅡ Ah… Did your master order you to say something like that since you’re the slave?? Why don’t you just shut up and just be average??”
Hello. This is the chief admin of IkaDong.
Although it was more difficult than expected, 2010 has already come and gone and we are now in the new year. I wish everyone a happy and healthy year ahead.
And to all our registered members of this fan café that is for fans in their 20s who have been with us for the past seven years, I would like to say I am sorry to be coming before you today with this kind of public announcement.
I would have liked for all our registered members to have been together with us until the very end. ‘All five members are Dong Bang Shin Ki’ has been the founding cause that has maintained this café, but since it now seems that cannot be the case I am coming before you now with this public announcement.
In truth, this public announcement is no different from the one previously released by our admins but reflects the added weight of the opinions submitted by our members, which we predicted would be in accordance with ours. Therefore, one could say that this announcement won’t come as a surprise, that this public announcement simply follows naturally from our previous steps.
Then, I now present the collective position of the admins and the majority of the registered members of AkaDong.
JYJ3’s Note: I’m going to reveal this letter from one cassie in Soompi. She was sending warnings in TVXQ’s thread that something big was going to happen “prepare yourself” was her words…So finally we see how one by one the rumors become reality. She gave me permission to share her letter here.
On January 02, 2011
I just wake up and I receive alot PMs…sorry for make you wait
Since all of you want to know…I’m going to tell only to a few people who I considered can keep the rumour to themself and not spread it out…this is an important issue for every TVXQ’s fan as 5 members so please Keep this as a rumour..but also prepare yourself because this is one scary rumour.
Apparently Homin’s debut song is becoming a BIG BIG issue right now for many korean cassies..especially for the ones who love the five members. I just learned recently that most Korean cassies are thrilling about the lyrics, most of them don’t believe this is about a lover relationship because that line “Keep you head down” never was used in that context if not to diss rivals..well this is not new, most of us know already even The Youngest Min talked about this and explain us the meaning for koreans…Now not only netizens are talking even singers and other people of the industry of entertainment are talking and apparently it’s not good reviews to Homin’s song…one famous korean singer very well respected and influencial person JO-pd even talked openly saying “”woah…The new TVXQ’s music is F* shi*t ‘why you left me so easy, Keep `your head down’ SM/HM are together sharpening knife, when SMP become hiphop?”.
Now the scary news is about kcassies, they are just waiting Homin release their song to make their decision if stay in TVXQ(5 members)’s fandom or not..many of them are right now very dissapointed with the teasers lyrics and part of the choreography, the four guys Homin put them down with their hands, apparently is JYJ + Hangeng the ones who filed the lawsuit against SM…kcassies will make big decisions this year, boycott and more after Homin’s release their song, it’s going to be the oficially breaking up of TVXQ’s fandom in Korea.
They say SM’s strategy is to kill TVXQ’s fans (5 members) and move on with a new fandom who can love only HOMIN (the old Homin’s fans + the new ones)..this is why the songs is made to diss JYJ and this is why we are going to see Homin in Cinemas, they are looking for new fans too..It’s the first time we see these kind of strong promotion from a korean idol in Korea…Of course it would be descounted from Homin’s earnings.
Kcassies felt It’s not them who are going to abandon Homin, It’s Homin who made the decision to abandon them and talk bad about their brothers in public pushing kcassies to take decisions.
Kcassies also say to me that they knew most international fans support TVXQ=2 members and probably we didn’t care about the song, that we never will understand completely because we have these cultural barriers. They say Homin’s song its very embarrasing from them as cassies who love the 5 members and soon alot people will start raising their voices.
I also know alot more but this is the most important right now…sighs…I’m sorry to scary you with negative rumours…we need to wait and confirm…
“Now TVXQ is made up with YUNHO & CHANGMIN.
dnbn.pe.kr, TCT, TVXQ Gallery of DC did to disturb their work and to boycott and spreading rumors.
So we won’t accept them as a TVXQ’s fansite.
We can no longer do nothing about their abuse of power.
Please give us unchangeable support and love.
This official notice is posted to YUNHO, CHANGMIN’s fansite and fancafe jointly.
Yours very truly, the fansite & fancafe of TVXQ’s JUNG YUNHO and the fansite & fancafe of TVXQ’s SHIM CHANGMIN.”

– EDIT –
This announcement was posted in HM’s fansites. So far as I know is that all the big TVXQ5’s comunities support more JYJ. Aside of TCT, the rest Fansites still didn’t release their official statements and position.
