[NEWS] 110906 JYJ Members Unable to Appear on Music Programs, Turn to Popular Dramas
Though it’s normal to see idols taking on a side job as actors, the situation of JYJ (Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu and Kim Jaejoong) is quite different. Other singers appear on music and variety shows while having roles in dramas. However, JYJ can only be seen starring in dramas.
The first member who made a drama appearance was Park Yoochun, who from last August till November, appeared in the historical drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal” (KBS) and made his mark as an actor that drama producers wants to work with. Afterwards he began filming “Miss Ripley” (MBC) which started filming in May and wrapped up in July.
Kim Junsu appeared shortly on “Scent of a Woman” as Asia’s top Hallyu singer “Junsu”, who Lee Yeon Jae(Kim Seon Ah) wanted to see before she died. “You are so Beautiful“, the OST that Kim Junsu performed live during the drama, drives into the viewers’ ears whenever an emotional scene takes place between the two leading roles (Kim Seon Ah and Lee Dong Wook).
Kim Jaejoong is currently playing the role of Department Head Cha Mu Won in “Protect the Boss” (SBS) who is the creator of the love triangle between him, No Eun Seol (Choi Kang Hee), and Cha Ji Hun (Ji Sung). Critics have stated that though his acting was a little awkward at the beginning, he is improving as the episodes progress while other critics state that he is doing extremely well when portraying a financial character.

Brian Joo is a Korean artist and a member of the male duo Fly to the Sky. He left SM Entertainment in 2004.

The Protect the Boss OST have been revealed online until its Part 7 as digital singles– I Will Protect You by Kim Jaejoong, Please Let Us Just Love by A-Pink, You Don’t Even Know Well by Lynn, I’m Asking You by M-Street, I Can See Only You by ZE:A’s Kwanghee and Jewelry’s Yewon, Because of You by Hyuwoo, Now I Know by Son Hyeonwoo, and A Sad Song Is by Heo Youngsaeng.
Furthermore, the Protect the Boss OST had repeatedly become the talk of the town whenever the digital singles were released due to the participation of the top vocalists. [NEWS] 110830 Jaejoong’s OST Ranks All-Around #1 for Whole of Japan’s GMarket, but GMarket’s Sales Were Unauthorized
Jaejoong has pulled off the impressive feat of having the Protect the Boss OST become the Overall #1 in rank out of the whole of Japan’s GMarket. Unfortunately, it seems that GMarket sold the OST without proper authorization from SBS. Oh no T__T.

Scent of a Woman Holds a Special Concert for Childhood Cancer Patients
Scent of a Woman will hold a special concert for those suffering with childhood cancer.
On the coming September 11th in Olympic Park Gymnastics Field of Seoul, a special concert in which the main actors and the OST singers of the SBS weekend drama Scent of a Woman will be held. This concert is a charity concert for those children suffering from childhood cancer. This is not unrelated to the scenario of Yeonjae who in the drama receives a diagnosis of cancer and lives a life the days of which are numbered.
On the concert of this day, the leads of the drama Scent of a Woman and the artists that made the OST shine will attend and will show “talks” and also the songs themselves.
In particular, JYJ’s Kim Junsu not only sang the OST but even made a special appearance in the drama in the 5th episode. He will also participate in this concert and will be with Scent of a Woman until the end to have a closure to the special meeting. Read More →
