We cannot omit the example of group JYJ in 2012 when there was the greatest controversy definitely with sasaeng fans.

He may take the energy to shrug his shoulder, about receiving more love at filming locations, like so due to his fans; but they have caused a big shock with the extreme instances of going too far.
In 2012, public criticism heightened toward JYJ, even back then, in the incident where a negative file spilling the verbal abuse the members fired at sasaeng fans was disclosed to the public; but the media and sasaeng fans were hit with backlash for releasing the audio files, too, since it served as momentum in shedding light on the difficulties for stars on the part of sasaeng fans.
Back then, JYJ member Park Yuchun complained of suffering: “We were tormented by sasaeng fans every single day for 8 years. It was like we were in a prison without bars”.
Kim Junsu also confessed about shocking instances where: “[Sasaeng fans] installed location-tracking devices in our cars, chased after us continuously, trespassed frequently, and took photos of our individual things”, “Sometimes when we were sleeping, they have even tried to come closer and kiss us; and deliberately have even made wagers on minor accidents in taxis”.
