The Women & Children Criminal Investigation Department of Seoul Central District (Public) Prosecutors’ Office have indicted Ms. B under the suspicions of false allegations for making a false complaint, claiming she was forcibly sexually assaulted by singer-and-actor Park Yuchun confined in the washroom of an entertainment establishment in December 2015.
Ms. B had claimed, “I met Park Yuchun in an entertainment establishment and had sex with him.” to the police and reported in a statement that “Park Yuchun asked for my contact information and had offered to give me musical equipment and such before the sex but he just took off after the relations.”
Among the 4 females who filed their own complaints against Park Yuchun, Ms. A and Ms. B are being indicted under suspicions of false allegations against him. Ms. B, together with the suspicions of false allegations, is also being charged with the suspicions of defamation by mass publication after meeting with a certain broadcast PD and making accusations in an interview.
There was a substantive examination of a warrant for Ms. B conducted on the past 3rd but the court dismissed the arrest warrant. Ms. B will be tried for the suspicions of false allegations and the suspicions of defamation, in the state without detention.
