JYJ’s XIA Kim Junsu received more than 150,000 ticket applications for his Nagoya and Yokohama concerts in Japan.
CJES Entertainment stated, “Interest from Japanese fans to XIA Junsu’s six concerts in two cities is hot. For the Nagoya concerts scheduled for October 8th to 10th, there are a total of 24,000 seats but we received 50,000 applications. For the Yokohama Arena concerts scheduled for October 14th to 16th, there are a total of 33,000 seats but we received more than 100,000 ticket applications. For 57,000 seats, we received over 150,000 applications.”
In July, XIA Junsu’s second album received praises for being a ‘complex album’ and achieved extraordinary results. When the title song ‘Incredible’ was released, the song reached #1 on the iTunes Dance and Album charts in 8 countries, including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore. It was also #1 on Japan’s Tower Records chart, and was #1 on China’s largest music video site Yinyuetai’s weekly chart, receiving much love domestically and internationally.
A representative said, “Anticipation for XIA Junsu’s high standard music and performances and the fact that he will meet fans not in Tokyo but in Nagoya and Yokohama have received high interest from Japanese fans. The lottery for tickets hasn’t happened yet*, but with absolutely no Japanese activities, we received over 150,000 ticket applications in just one week after applications opened. That is astonishing. As there is still time until fans receive their tickets, we anticipate that more fans will be pressed (to look for tickets).”
On the other hand, JYJ’s XIA Junsu began his Asia tour along with the release of his second album. Starting on July 20th in Bangkok, he held successful concerts in Shanghai, Seoul and Busan. After his concert on September 28th in Australia, he will continue with his Japan tour.

WOW..my Junchan DAEBAK!!!!
I wish everyone who wanted could see Junsu’s concerts, including me! 😀
Woah, nicely done Su ❤ ❤ ❤
Junsu!! Good luck for your concert!!!
after all big promotions and public ticket sales, u can only made 150,000? something is wrong..
What’s wrong? 150,000 ticket applications for 57,000 seats shows overwhelming interest in Junsu’s concert. The last i heard, there have been zero promotions in Japan for Junsu/JYJ, don’t know where you got the “big promotions” from.
@leefog There is no big promotions, he never appeared on TV to perform nor have his song played not even on radio brodcast. Yet those who get heavy TV and Radio promotions on a daily bases for over a month, Could NOT get to sell half the tickets Junsu sold not even in time record that Junsu broke. Something’s wrong with you my dear, besides the concert hall doesn’t even carry 60 000 seats, they just added 93000 more because of high demand. They added over 90 000 seats, do you get it yet? It’s over a full house, now do you get it? You’re complaint is utter nonsense, excuse me.
After all big CF promotions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgdtSLa2DQ4&feature=youtu.be and open public ticket sales, junchan can only made 150,000???? huh, something is wrong here..hmmm..
I don’t think just a CF in YT can be classified as “big promotion”.
How do you describe bulk promotion including newspaper, TV, radio, LED screen, windows of mass transportation, ….?
Anyway, all tickets are sold is already a good thing to me. JUNCHAN fighting.
Can you explain to me in detail what do you mean by ‘something is wrong’.. Sometimes I’m a bit slow to understand what others trying to say
But from my point of view Junsu getting 150k for his solo concert is amazing.. Fact that Junsu was absence is Japanese industry for almost 4 years.. Junsu not even has any drama to met new fan.. So I think this 150k application are from his old fan of thsk era.. And for me its explain a lot how loyal their fans are..
150,000 requests for 57,000 tickets, and you still think it’s not good enough? Seriously?
Prob 150 k is for fans only
Facepalm
Facepalms too
Triple facepalms!
Last time I looked, sold out, means sold out. Sold out is a failure? Hmmm.
@BAF
Some people will find a way, even if it’s a way that no one will be in agreement with, to poop in another person’s Cheerios.
We know who Junsu is, in the scheme of all things in K-Pop, circa 2013. We know who he is and what talents he brings to the
game. I’d LOVE to know whose talent and achievements leefog would like to suggest as being more impressive but I think I have a pretty good idea already.
Yup, that’s why like others, I’m getting the whiff of troll. How sad and pathetic one’s life must be to function this way. Makes me wonder what their karma will be one day. 😉
ahh. i get it. ur trying to be sarcastic, right?
cuz if that’s big, then.. LOL. that couldnt be a smaller promo. a small yt ad. i wish they did more.
Lol, I think leefog is trying to be a troll, but I guess he – she – it gave up and went back under the bridge.
*gasp* you didnt mean that she’s serious about it? O,O
bwahahhaha hilarious
I realized this as well. Just couldn’t help myself about commenting though. 😉
Riiiiiiight it’s Junsu so there should be 15.000.000 application! So something is terribly wrong here….guuuurl please..
@JAESOE LOL so hard to your “guuurl please” comment!!!!!!!!!!! I can just imagine your face when while typing that!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally feel the same way!!!!!!!!!!!
Why Cjes only provided 33.000 tickets for 3 days concert at Yokohama arena? I believe the place can hold more than that. If I’m not mistaken, it can held more than15.000 people per concert (just like JJ concert last June). Cjes should provide more ticket for the fans
This probably has to do with how the stage is set up. This is not uncommon. Jae’s was more fanmeet/concert than straight up concert. From the outset, when this concert was planned, they took into consideration, all possibilities. Junsu is providing a concert with more visuals, i.e. dance.
Japan please give Junjjang lots of love! Onegai!!
Wow this is extremely impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fans, pls vote for JYJ at this website named KPOP World Wide. You can vote 19 times a day. Pls giv tat 19 votes to JYJ. https://apps.tradablebits.com/tb_app/327837
He needs more dates! I wish he could perform in Tokyo but I guess he couldn’t get open venue…sigh…
I too hope he add more dates. Because as we can see there is a strong demand from the Japanese fans that they really want to see him live. I think even two more dates the fans would absolutely eat those dates up!!
Somehow, I wish these inevitable articles where the “unexpected” overwhelming demand for tickets, albums. etc etc for the guys would finish by saying “So therefore we have added 2 more concert dates” and/or manufactured 100,000 more albums. But it never seems to. Since it has happened once again, just as it has every other time with JYJ’s assorted productions, I can now only think that this is some sort of a concerted marketing plan that I simply am not aware of. Creating the perception of scarcity/exclusivity, perhaps? I don’t know, but I gotta say it’s not my favorite marketing plan. lol Anyway, I hope Junsu feels all warm, fuzzy and madly in demand at this news. 🙂
I worry that they want to add more dates, but have difficulty booking venues. I worry its because of the blacklisting. I can’t understand, JJ could have toured Japan for 2 weeks to packed halls, but at the time I thought maybe that wasn’t what JJ wanted? I didn’t know but I worried. But Junsu is a workaholic, I’m sure he would love to add more dates, so maybe he can’t?
I wonder if this is why everything they do in SK sells out so fast? Because they can’t rent big enough venues?
I really hope this isn’t a marketing plan, it’s not my idea of a good marketing plan. They need more exposure not less!
As far as I know, if you do bigger halls, you get to tour less countries. But then there is also the ban problem, most halls are reserved for SM, and these halls have worked with SM since SM came to be, they won’t upset old business partners so there you go, that’s another reason. I’m not really sure about the first reason, but I understood that if you book large halls, you might not have enough budget to rent that much other large halls in other countries, or even small ones, which will risk the number of tours you’d be making, in other words you’d tour less countries that way. But if you keep renting minimum halls, you’d have chance to tour more countries in future. I could be wrong, but seems reasonable especially with C-jes’s budget. And maybe C-jes doesn’t want to invest too much money in the tours, who really knows if any of this is true except for SM depriving JYJ from large halls like with Tokyo dome these past 3 years through Avex.
I’m not sure of the reason either, I hope things with all my heart that it will open up for them. I guess this is part of the pain of being a JYJ fan. There is always worry about the ban and the interference they face. This along with witnessing the discrimination against them and the lies and the dirty tricks ( i have not forgotten you Loen) is my worry about the things we have no knowledge of. I shouldn’t even go into other my worries. I sometimes wish CJES was running things differently, but I’m very reluctant to criticize them. I know they are up against it and are fighting battles I don’t even know about. I have to regroup and encourage myself more.
I agree with your comments. It seems like every time they have concerts these articles always come out but CJES never add more concert dates. It’s just weird. I know I should take it as a positive sign anyway but some of the articles make me feel weird.
Venues, like anything else have availability issues. You can’ make dates appear that aren’t there. And yes, there could still be the specter of a big, bad wolf lurking in the background. But you know, wolves can also get posted to the ‘endangered’ list if they are not careful. Keep in mind, if this is a marketing strategy – AVEX played this game as well – saying the Thanksgiving Tour received over 1 million ticket applications. Just saying.
Wow! Impressed! Go for it, Junsu!
