With Bigbang Seungri’s recent interview, there’s been a lot of confusion as to what really happened during the casting of Moazart. Unfortunately, Seungri was quite misinformed and thus gave a inaccurate interview describing Mozart’s casting process. Hopefully, this will clear up the confusion and give fans the CORRECT information about what actually happened during casting.

Q: What other musicals would you like to do besides “Jekyll and Hyde?”
A:
[Omit]
Actually, the director of the musical “Mozart” that Junsu was part of contacted me first. But after listening to the songs, I told him that “I couldn’t do it.”
It was because the songs were beyond my abilities. But later on, if you are leading a great project again, please let me know and I will consider it.” And the director told me that he would. So there was that kind of happening. And well, once I rejected, they went straight to Kim Junsu. ^^
But actually, the role was supposed to originally go to Jo SungMo. But he hurt his leg and couldn’t do it. Then the role was offered to me. But I replied that “I couldn’t do it” and the role went straight to Junsu and he became really successful as a result. ^^
