Singer-cum-actor Park Yuchun will be joining the military on August 27.
Park Yuchun’s agency C-JeS Entertainment said to OSEN on May 31: “He’s expected to join the army and to serve on August 27”. He will be embarking as the second one [of JYJ] following Kim Jaejoong, since Kim Jaejoong is in the middle of his military service before him.
Park Yuchun is holding his solo fanmeeting ‘Housewarming party : Epi 2’ at Korea University’s Tiger Dome on May 30~31; and is working on filming for movie ‘Lucid Dream’.

Yeah, not only was the secret out but YC confirmed it himself so it’s high time for some action. He has such warm voice, he should stop hiding it. I had been hoping for an album of JaeChun duets. It’s too late for that but still some time left for a Chunnie album. Just to reminf ourselves that there is more to JaeChun than Colors, they went way back before it. (BTW in those days I tried to arrange my scarves Chunnie style)

I guess I have the opposite sentiment than most, I actually want him (and also Junsu) to go sooner. I thought Yunchun will go right after the drama. It’s unavoidable, so having them going sooner and all come back out sooner as JYJ would be great. But they do individually need to pull enough of their share to support the full time and seasonal staff of the agency and affiliates before they enlist.
Since Yuchun is more likely to report to a police department to serve, he is more than likely still be living at home and not any base, just like Kim Heechul. He can’t participate in any non-service related activities, but it may not be hard to spot him either.
I hope ppl don’t spot him, am I weird? :p
Or even if ppl spot him, I hope they’ll keep it private to themselves.

It’s a wonder how we can all ❤️ a man so much even though we are all living in different parts of the world. With a Language barrier and yet like knowing exactly what he’s saying. Listening to him seems like I know every Korean line of the song. Seeing him / them (JYJ) achieving what they thought they once will lose forever is like getting our own wishes fulfilled one by one ..
Sorry Sisters , as much as I wish what u wish, I know leaving us something behind while he is away is his best gift to us but my wish for him now is go spend the time with the people he wants – families , friends .. Do the things he like and don’t worry about work , about us ..

Why do I have a feeling it wasn’t supposed to be revealed until much later…… but the press was at the FM, so obviously they heard and had to check with CJES.
Or ….. maybe….. CJES asked Sol Kyung-gu to announce?? Who knows. Anyway, its good that fans know way in advance…..to prepare….sobs…
I was expecting Chun to enlist in June after filming TGWSS and his cameo role in Lucid Dream.
He is still filming LD though…..so it cant be a cameo, right?
Hmmm…. maybe his role got expanded after film distributors showed interest in LD when they heard Chun is starring in it.
Hurray if he has a bigger role now. After filming there is still post production work …… reshoot? poster shoot? and whatever else. Maybe that’s why he is enlisting much later in August.
Anyway, looking forward to watching Lucid Dream when Chun is away.
No hope of seeing him at the end of year SBS award show.
