JYJ—“Fan is… now Family.” World Concert in Pusan Finale.
Kim Jaejoong Shows a Passionate Stage Enveloped in the Support of His Family
JYJ’s member Kim Jaejoong held the magnificent finale of the World Tour enveloped in the support of his family.
JYJ met with about 20,000 fans in total in the “JYJ World Concert In Pusan” that was held in Pusan’s Sajik Indoors Gymnasium on the 11th and the 12th, 8pm and 7pm respectively.
Kim Jaejoong was thankful at the event in which the fans switched their glowsticks from red to yellow during the JYJ’s song “Fallen Leaves” and induced a wave in the crowds and had a conversation with the fans. When a fan in the audience offered the words of support that “Fans are family,” Kim Jaejoong responded—“Fans— they are more.” Read More →

The Wave (really funny!)
Last Friday (6/3), JYJ finished the North American leg of their 2011 World Tour at the San Jose Event Center. As promised in their world tour press conference last month, the trio showed off their talent and delivered a show that pleased both visually and musically. And to top it off, concert attendees had the honor of singing “Happy Birthday” to their Korean idol face-to-face during the concert.
Before the show, many fans arrived early to prepare themselves for the concert. To show their support for Jaejoong, Yuchun (also known as Micky), and Junsu, some fans dressed in red, dyed their hair, and wore red glowing “Mickey Mouse” ears. Some of the fans also handed out red finger lights and signs that said “Don’t Go (Gajima in Korean), USA Loves JYJ”. Although red is the color used for TVXQ, many fans express their continued support for JYJ, who were members of the original group, with the same color.
Before the concert, we talked to several fans and tested their knowledge of JYJ. Here’s our video coverage of the pre-show fans gathering in front of the concert hall, featuring guest host Cassandra Farrar. Check it out and see if you know JYJ as well as these fans do:
Unlike their previous US tour, JYJ’s 2011 North American concerts featured Korean songs they wrote themselves.

After holding successful U.S. showcase performances in 2010, the Korean singing sensation JYJ returned in May 2011 for a concert tour in four different North American cities. Even though the tour was winding down at its last stop at the San Jose Event Center Arena in June, fans were pumped as ever, all decked out in red and ready to have a good time. Red shirts, red glow sticks, red signs — it’s really quite something to witness the red ocean, the masses of fans showing their support by wearing JYJ’s representative color. It’s even crazier to see the whole venue light up with a red glow as fans wave their sticks to the beat of each song. Before the two-hour concert kicked off, the audience was buzzing with anticipation while the screens played the dance rehearsal and tutorial video for the “Be My Girl” remix — showing the audience the flash mob dance that would take place when the song is performed later on in the show.
