He’s smiling so brightly in almost every picture. His smiles feel natural and not forced. There are no dark circles under his eyes. He looks as his best. And even when he’s just staring his eyes don’t seem so blank, soulless and depressed like usual. I love it when he is happy. I guess he had enough sleep for once and isn’t under too much stress at the moment or maybe he met people he likes.
I’m in a really good mood now too because of his bright smiles 🙂
I’m sorry, but your comment bothers me a little because I find it indicative of a trend in this fandom. I think we need to stop throwing out the word “depressed” every time Jaejoong goes out in public without a mega-watt smile on his face. Many fans seem to always jump to this conclusion. He’s not always going to be rested and in a good mood. I think we should give him those days/ moments of grumpiness without assuming he is depressed and soulless. I love it when Jaejoong is happy and looks his best too, but I don’t expect it at all times.
I understand what you mean, and I agree with you about not expecting him to be in a good mood all the time. But I think you misunderstood me. I admit that my terms “depressed” and “soulless” was an exaggeration on my part and therefore caused the misunderstanding.
I never said nor implied that I expect him to be happy all the time. On the contrary, because I don’t expect him to be so smiley and happy 24/7 is why I’m glad to see him smiling now. It bothers me too when I hear fans saying “he must be so lonely and sad” every time they see him without company. I’m not implying that I’m always expecting him to be all energetic, and that when he isn’t, I get dissaponted just because I want to see his smile to make my day.
But I do assume that he is “tierd” most of the time because it shows, due to the circles under his eyes, his drowsiness, and his overload of work. He’s human and gets tired too, so it makes me happy when he has full rest and is smiling so brightly. And I’m glad he’s not tierd or grumpy. That is what I was implying in my comment.
When “I’m” tierd, I don’t feel like smiling and I force myself to, therefore I used the term “depressed”. And when I’m tierd I stare around blankly, and therefore I used the term “soulless” which meens there is no shown emotion on his face because he’s too tierd to show it. Just take these words lightly. why turn what was supposed to be a possitive comment into something negative and assume that I’m implying absured things? It’s not like I’m repremending him for not smiling or blaming him for doing anything wrong, as if he’s not allowed to be tired or grumpy.
I hope my sentences are clear and not contradicting since English is not my first language and I tend to right contradicting sentences.
My point was not to turn your comment into something negative. However, you used exaggerated expressions without explanation. I based my comment on what you wrote, not what your intentions were. I wanted to point out my disagreement with the terms you chose to use because I see them quoted in fandom frequently, and misguidedly so. My comment is not meant to be offensive, or meant to imply absurd things. I used your comment as a means to address the issue. That’s basically it. Your detailed explanation above resolves my issues with your comment.
